If you want a light drama, that would make you laugh and be inspired at the same time, this is the best series for you. The story was simple. It was not the usual K-drama full of twists and turns, rather it shows the authenticity of life. It shows that life is not easy, but we must go on and live to the fullest. It also shows the different values of various people based on how they grew up.
Jung Saet-byul and Choi-Dae hyun are both admirable characters. Saet-byul, though a reckless and troublesome teenager before, grew up to be an independent and hardworking lady. She perseveres and always puts others first before herself. She puts actions into words and knows what she’s fighting for, despite being at the disadvantage. On the other hand, Dae-hyun is the embodiment of a good person, trying to make ends meet. He is very honest, handsome, humble, and a good son to his parents. Despite, being virtuous and handsome, he lacks the confidence and courageousness to be himself.
Overall, the series was great. However, despite being a rom-com drama, the romance between Saet-byul and Dae-Hyun was lacking. There should have been more time for romance between the two of them. Dae-hyun should look at Saet-byul more as a woman, rather than a subordinate or an employee.

After high school, Uehara and Nao left their apartment and lived separate rooms, and have gone to college. It seems that everything is alright for the couple. However, problems arose when Natsume and Sakeo came into their lives. Uehara and Nao’s love for each other are put into test.
The characters of the story are well played by the actors. I have also much likened Natsume’s character. He is a loving and caring friend to both Uehara and Nao. The main problem why I did not gave a perfect score for the drama, is that it lacks climactic scenes. The conflict between Nao and Uehara should have been more accurate, and should have shown more on Uehara’s side of the story. Also, I was also surprised why Ichan was not there on season 2

Set in 2 parallel worlds, one in the Kingdom of Korea and the other the Republic of Korea. Lee Gon, the present Emperor of the Kingdom of Korea sets foot on the alternative universe of the Republic of Korea. He comes across a familiar face, Detective Jung Tae-Eul, whom he recognizes years ago, during his father’s assassination. Lee Gon assumes that this woman saved him from the wrath his uncle Lee Lim, who assassinated Lee Gon’s father. Overwhelmed with curiosity, Lee Gon tries to discover the complexity of the parallel universe, by going back and forth between the two-parallel universe. The writer, Ms. Kim Eun-sook never disappoints. Her works contains a perplexing, yet imaginative series of dramas which makes it more appealing to her viewers. Similarly, The King: Eternal Monarch (TKEM) was one of the series that keeps you guessing. In the beginning of the series, it seemed ambiguous and overwhelming, with all the plot holes and the use of flash backs. Nevertheless, episode by episode, the series was slowly unraveling. Every problem I had with the show was answered, and the ending was well-written.
I grew fond with the series’ characters, especially with Captain Jo Young and Jo Eun-Seob’s characters. Woo Do-hwan has portrayed both the characters with the charisma and humor, I think many will also approve of this. Unquestionably, Woo Do-hwan has a remarkable acting skill. Moreover, I also liked the character of Prime Minister Goo. She presents someone who’s underprivileged. But because of hard work and ambition, she became successful. However, because of her ambitions, she became too greedy.
The problem that I have with this show is that it lacks accuracy in telling the stories of the different characters. For example, Captain Jo Young, as a child, was a bubbly and a loquacious friend to Lee Gon. He also explained as a child, that his father was close to Lee Gon’s father. I wondered if maybe there was more to this relationship, between Lee Gon’s father and Captain Young. More so, I even pondered the character development of Captain Young as a child and as an adult.
Another problem that I faced was, there was a lack of connection between the relationship of Jung Tae-eul and Lee Gon. Their relationship should have been more solidified. There should have been more of a connection, and how their feeling progressed over time.

The drama is captivating. You will instantly feel Man-wol's desperation for revenge. Man-wol portrays herself as a powerful and confident woman, but under her cloak is a woman trying to escape her sins, and desperately trying to live a good life. On the other hand, Ku Chan-sung is the perfect companion for Man-wol. Despite, Man-wol's constant caprices, and her ostensibly cruel personality, Chan-sung is always there to take care and accept her as she is. However, the overall plot fails to project on how to carefully unfold the secrets behind Man-wol's sins and her past.
Overall the drama is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. The series is best for drama enthusiasts who love watching historical dramas. More so, with IU's top-notch acting with a mix of Yeo-jin Goo's charisma has made the drama a success.

Love the comedic scenes between Joo Gyeong and Seo Jun!
Honestly, the storyline is too cliché. Nevertheless, what makes this drama appealing, is because of its talented actors, comedic scenes, and Joo Gyung’s transformation.I am on episode 7 currently. As I have observed, there are not many romantic scenes between Joo Gyung and Seo Jun as compared to the webtoon. Most of the scenes between Joo Gyung and Seo Jun were given to Su Ho which makes me frustrated. Nevertheless, I have likened the series, because of its comedic scenes not only between Joo Gyung and Seo Jun but overall, most of the characters were humorous and appealing. Another great thing about the series is that it does not focus mostly on the romantic side of the drama, but it highlights Joo Gyung’s transformation from an ugly duckling to a beautiful Swan. Though previously, Joo Gyung was very insecure because of her looks, gradually she is learning to love herself.
Recognizing, the culture in South Korea, where most teenagers want flawless ivory skin with big eyes like Korean idols led to a lot of pressure for many teenagers. This series is an eye-opener. It recognizes that one does not need to follow a certain beauty standard to be beautiful, as everyone is beautiful just the way they are.
