Hello Everyone!

A little introduction:

My name is Narin, but you can call me Sensei if you prefer my nickname. It's a nickname I received since I was a child because I like helping and teaching others in need. I'm 26 years old, fresh out of university and working as a pharmacist.

I've had a liking for Japanese anime since I was around 15 years old, but never showed any interest in dramas. It was only about 3 years ago when I was hanging out at a friend's house, and one of my friends introduced me to Hana Yori Dango. After watching the first episode, I immediately asked her for the rest of the series. I managed to complete the series after a few weeks, by squeezing in episodes between classes and assignments. But I wasn't completely satisfied then; a new world had opened up and I wanted to explore every corner of it....

I checked out other series with the same actors as Hana Yori Dango, which led me to series like Hana Kimi and Gokusen, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Slowly, over time, I watched more dramas, building on my collection.

Today, I can say I'm a huge fan of jdramas, with a passion for Japan and Japanese culture. I've even started learning basic Japanese in my spare time, but it has become difficult to continue due to work. But I'm not giving up just yet. I am currently learning Japanese and am planning to visit Japan someday.

Dramas:

I like a variety of jdramas, so it's hard to pick favourites. I've never really had any interest in other types of dramas (korean, etc.) but that doesn't mean I'm not open to branching out in the future. Essentially I'd like to learn Japanese so I can sub dramas myself.

Rating dramas can be very picky, but I rate them based on how much I enjoyed the series, as well as the ensemble of cast and characters. Some of my favourites are those mentioned above, but others like Osen and Amachan have become my top dramas.  I like those that can keep my interest from start to finish, and essentially take me on a roller-coaster ride. What I like the most about dramas are the extended episodes (like pilots, finales and specials). It's nice to know that the Japanese can put the full effort into makeing a 90 minute special episode whenever they see fit.

ADD ME!

If you like my page, want to chat, or would just like to be friends, please add me. It would be nice to make friends with others who share a common interest.
