They're both Thai horror anthologies - if you're done with one and still in the mood for a similar format, try the other one!

Shirome is about supernatural happenings and the acting is waaay worse (even though there's a nice meta aspect to it), but they're both about an idol group being terrorized by someone/something.

If you want a family-friendly, more cute than creepy, good-feels version of a bunch of kids getting lost into an alternative dimension/old haunted school building.

One is a mashup of classic Japan/epic samurai stories and sci-fi, the other a real life version of old school rpg games, and they share the same brand of silly fourth-wall-breaking humor, the same way of making fun (in an affectionate way) of beloved classics and the same way of mixing up ancient and modern. They're different stories but have a very similar vibe!

They have a similar theme and videos/photos as an important plot element...I would say more but it would be a spoiler, watch them both and you'll understand. ;)

Classic Japanese horror! And even if Yotsuya Kaidan is older, it doesn't mean it's not scary!

They are the two halves of the so called "Duel Project": both directors had to film a movie with two characters battling in one setting during the span of a week. One idea developed in two different ways!
