It starts off pretty slow for the first fifty episodes or so. There are twists here and there, but it wasn't anything gut-wrenching that made me shake my fist at the screen (a fairly common occurrence during a good drama for me) or cry like a baby. At times, I felt like the series dragged on, stretching an issue out over several episodes when it could have been just as easily explained in one, sometimes even half an episode.
As I said, though, around episode fifty I could feel things starting to heat up, and once the numbers hit the sixties things really set on fire. The revenge, the desperation, the feelings of utter helplessness when it comes to helping your most beloved person wade through the tides... It all seemed to just explode. For me, that was well worth the wait and watching all the episodes before. Some characters that I had previously wondered about the overall purpose of now showed great inner conflict and the reasons for certain behaviors were explained in a way that nearly wrenched out my heart.
Overall, I felt the leads did a fantastic job portraying their characters. While the story may have dragged on a bit, the actors themselves rose to the challenge, portraying their characters surprisingly well even after so many episodes. Sometimes even after twenty episodes I'll find that someone will slip up in their character on drama, but the leads here really stuck to it well. Very good show.

Coupled with the music, the acting and story is killer, for lack of a better term. Whether you like classical music or not, or enjoy such sad stories, the sweet moments mixed in with personal tragedy will make you laugh and cry when you least expect it. Definitely a drama worth watching.

Overall, the movie was spectacular. From the music to the pretty faces, right down to the acting and mouthwatering desserts. The interactions between the four men were adorable at times, and I laughed myself out of my seat at others. I've always been a fan of Kim Jae Wook, so to see him here was a real treat.
Wonderful movie, and one I will definitely be watching again when I have the time.

Dream High is a definite must see if you're looking for a drama that carries teenage angst, a little action, some romance, some cute and fluffy, and music. It also portrays some real problems that teens suffer with when it comes to debuting, but people very rarely think about. I loved it.
The cast was amazing and each portrayed their characters so well that I sympathized with even the 'bad' ones. I cried with Suzy and Kim Soo Hyun, with Eunjung. I admired how each character not only struggled through their issues, but came to really discover themselves as well.
The music was very inspiring and suited the drama very well. Most of it was simply sweet, almost to the extent of cavity-inducing in IU's case, but that's what is so lovable about IU in the first place.
Needless to say this drama is well worth the time to watch all sixteen episodes. Whether you choose to watch them straight through like I did or break them up over several days or even weeks is up to you, but you won't be disappointed.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band

The first episode had me completely hooked within ten minutes. For me, that's saying something. I usually find that dramas tend to keep the story pace fairly slow in the first two episodes, thoroughly setting up the drama. That has always annoyed me, but then again I'm a very impatient person. So to see this drama really setting things up in the first two episodes with plenty of action... Needless to say I was thrilled.
To put it simply, Shut Up Flower Boy Band is superb. It takes bromance, first loves, music, and the struggles of being a high school student and rolls it all into a big ball of indie rock love. Each character has their own unique struggles to discover themselves. It shows the difficulties of coming into adulthood and having to balance friendship, love, school and work. I found myself laughing one minute, then crying for the next ten. Other times I was on the edge of my very uncomfortable seat, anxious to see what would come of their newest dilemma. More than once during an episode I found myself shouting at the screen, telling characters what an idiot they were, and getting just as frustrated as they did when things didn't turn out the way they'd - and I'd - hoped.
Perhaps the best part about this drama is the sheer imperfections. The characters aren't perfect. They aren't bubbly and cute. They are hard, raw and almost violent in their passion for life, love and music. That may be what makes it so addicting and fascinating to watch.
Shut Up Flower Boy Band is a must watch. I highly recommend it - and a box of tissues.

So. Heartstrings/Festival/You've Fallen For Me. There are so many names for this drama.
When I first saw that Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa would be acting together again, I was over the moon. I loved them both in You're Beautiful and had honestly been praying to see them together again, preferably with Yong Hwa as the male lead rather than the secondary male. I got my wish!
Aside from the utterly fangirling moments I had, I was very excited about the story. Turns out I had every reason to be. Heartstrings is a very sweet, comedic and romantic drama that does quite literally tug at your heartstrings. Many times throughout the fifteen episodes, I found myself crying over an injustice done, at some times hating a character's wickedness, being annoyed by others, and utterly captivated by the adorableness of Kang Min Hyuk's character. Watching Jung Yong Hwa do a 180 when it came to his character in You're Beautiful and his character in Heartstrings was fascinating for me, and he did beautifully. I hope to see him act more in the future.
The music and acting complement each other very well. They got a stellar cast with acting chops that really made the drama shine. I definitely recommend watching Heartstrings.

The story itself was interesting to me. The leads couldn't have been more opposite if it killed them, yet the hidden intrigue the male lead seemed to have at having someone that optimistic following him around got me. Regardless of the shenanigans Oh Ha Ni get herself into countless times, and got Baek Seung Jo dragged into as well, her personality and Baek Seung Jo's cool exterior made the show never dull to watch. I have watched Playful Kiss several times over, and will continue to do so because it is one of my favorites.

Not much to say on this one. If you're looking for some laughs and the occasional cry, Prince's First Love may be just up your alley.
