I started seriously watching kdramas in 2016 and haven't regretted a moment. It takes up too much of my time and I lose a lot of sleep but it's worth it. I haven't watched a western tv show since. I've discovered so many amazing dramas and actors. I mainly watch kdramas but sometimes watch Chinese dramas. I've yet to watch a Taiwanese drama and don't plan to.
