I wasn't really planning to watch this drama due to the historical factor, but someone thankfully persuaded me to watch this and I don't regret it at all. It's the first time I'm seeing Kim Nam Gil and Kim Ah Joong in any drama, and I'm surprised at how much I liked them here (especially Kim Nam Gil, *wink, wink*). I got pulled into the story in the first episode itself, considering that I've dropped a lot of other dramas in the first episode, but this show started and ended on a good note with me. Also I love how the show leaves you confused and wanting to continue watching.
If you're looking for something unique, and something romantic but at the same time with a good plot and enough humor to keep you invested, you can be assured that this is the one for you. You definitely won't be disappointed with the cast, they're remarkable, and might leave you wanting more from them.
I promise you'll fall in love with Kim Nam Gil, and especially his funny expressions.
I left this drama with a lot of inspirational lines, and this show definitely changed my perspective on a lot of things.
Also, the OST is a plus. It's been a long time since I downloaded all the songs from a drama.

I had a lot of expectations for this drama, but chuck it, I found nothing good about it, except that the cast are visual stunners.
The leads have absolutely no chemistry together, and it was painful to watch them. Shin Se Kyung was just mediocre, and Nam Joo Hyuk seriously has more talent than that.
Overall, the greatest disappointment of 2017.

I was taking a break from K-dramas when I ended up coming across this one. I loved that the drama was simple at the same time refreshing, without too much hassle between the characters and not too much angst. The lead couple was cute, and I definitely found them lovable enough to keep watching. The second lead couple was absolutely ADORABLE. I never fall for second lead couples in any drama, but these two were just too cute to handle. Can someone just let me have Qui Rifeng?
Lin Zi and Cheng Mei acted well enough for me to hate them from the bottom of my heart. Cheng Mei didn't have too many scenes, but whenever she did, she sure left an impact.
Shout out to North Physical's captain too. His little role was enough to make me like him.
After this drama, I ended up not watching K-dramas for a month, since I binge-watched on Taiwanese dramas.

I have such mixed feelings about this drama. ????????
When I heard all the hype surrounding this drama, at first, I kinda dismissed it since a lot of hyped up dramas never impressed me, but "While You Were Sleeping" did have my attention just after the first episode, which is a great plus.

STORY: Okay, here's the hard part. I LOVED how the plot began and all, but somewhere down a few 10-12 episodes, I started losing my interest and began looking forward to other dramas. Don't get me wrong, the plot was still good enough to make me keep watching, but it felt a bit predictable and stagnant at times. After a long time I decided to catch up, and yeah, although it wasn't as great as it started out to be, it still didn't disappoint me either, and I actually kind felt bad about dropping it earlier.

ACTING:  I was already a fan of both the Lee Jong Suk and Suzy but I kinda love them a lot more after watching the drama. For me, a major factor in watching a drama is chemistry, and THEY HAD UNBELIEVABLE CHEMISTRY. They were so cute together that I just had to keep watching the drama for them.
JUNG HAE IN WAS BAE. I love him, I don't know why I've never noticed him before, cause he is HOT. And yes, his acting was on point.
Kim Won Hae's role was a plus, as I always like his acting. Overall I felt all the actors played their parts very well, and the acting in the drama is definitely a plus point

OST: I AM IN LOVE WITH THE OST FROM THIS DRAMA. There isn't a single song I don't like hearing, and Suzy's "I Love You Boy", Roy Kim's "It'd be good" and Lee Jong Suk's "Come To Me" are definitely my favourites. Boy, who knew Lee Jong Suk could sing so well!

OVERALL: I do like this drama but I feel like could have been SO much more better of they had added a little more suspense, and a little more flow to it.

It took me quite a while to convince myself to start watching this drama, but seeing Woo Do Hwan in Mad Dog had me dying to see more of him, which is why I ultimately started watching the series. Now, this kinda drama is not to my liking, and I thought I'd end up dropping it within 2 episodes since I'm more into romantic dramas, and Save Me apparently had no kiss scenes, but I found myself hooked to this series by the first episode. A lot of people said they had to force themselves to keep watching, but no, I was so consumed by curiosity (and Woo Do Hwan) that I finished watching this in 2 days. Considering that I've been dropping other dramas left and right after about 10 episodes, Save Me definitely impressed me and had my attention all throughout the 16 episodes.

ACTING: OKAY. APPLAUSE FOR THE CAST. I hated and loved all of them with a passion. "Spiritual Father" and "Apostle Jo" are officially my most hated K-drama characters, which just means their acting was a 10/10. I especially loved that Sang Mi wasn't too brave but not too weak either...she was just a perfect female lead, her acting was so good, that I was dying to slap all the people for her, and damn, she is so beautiful. I didn't notice her queen like visuals in Moorim School, but she definitely caught my eye (and my heart) here. Moving on to Taecyeon, I feel like somehow his "main role" wasn't justified as there just wasn't much depth or importance for his character. As always, his acting was great, but I feel like the writer could have done much more for his role.  Aaaaand, WOO DO HWAN. I might just have a major crush on this guy, and his acting just makes me love him even more. Just my opinion, but Woo Do Hwan actually felt like the male lead in the drama, cause really speaking, it's all because of his character that they were able to save her as he did most of the work, and practically sacrificed his family in order to save her.  I really feel he deserved a little recognition for his efforts in the end.

Overall, I recommend this drama to everyone. If you're hesitant like I was, JUST JUMP IN. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

NOTE: I'm a christian too, and I agree that such false people are using religion to benefit themselves and are leading people into an actual hell-hole. I'm thankful I've never had to meet such people, and that all of the churches we attend are amazing, but the drama brought up the issue of false pastors and churches really well.
Also, that church looked so damn satanic. It gave me the creeps.
