A Beautiful Story About Healing and Finding One's Happiness

This is a lovely small-town drama. The relationships between all the characters are so interesting and you can't help but cheer for them. The romance is actually quite subtle compared to other dramas, but it felt very fitting. The development of the main characters' relationship is slow but realistic. With an interesting story, complex characters, and beautiful scenery, it was hard for me to wait for the next episode. This show left me with a sense of warmth and content. I would highly recommend it!

This show will make you want to tear your hair out

I tried, I really did. After finishing 14 episodes of the show I thought I should just finish it, but I couldn't. There was so much I didn't like about it.

The plot: I was genuinely confused by it. Kang Mi Rae, the lead character, struggled with being bullied because of her appearance and dealt with mental health issues because of it. Most people would think that she would go to therapy to help with her depression and low self esteem. But what does she actually do? Get plastic surgery. This was a BIG red flag to me. Instead of promoting the idea that everyone is beautiful and deserves to love themselves just as they are, they show us that she was "flawed" and needed plastic surgery. Also, even after her plastic surgery, Kang Mi Rae continues to struggle with low self esteem and judges others on their appearance as well.

The acting: It was questionable. Their was absolutely no chemistry between the two leads and when they finally got together, I wasn't happy at all. It felt like they were forced to work together in a group project. Super awkward.

The leads: As previously mentioned, the actors had no chemistry. But to make things worse, their characters had the personality of a rock. Do Kyung-seok showed absolutely no emotions whatsoever and Kang Mi Rae was unlikeable at best. It was difficult to watch two people with no personality or chemistry get together. In fact, I believe the only reason they got together was because they were both attractive. That's it.

Overall: I wouldn't recommend watching this unless you want something to help you fall asleep because it is beyond boring.

This show will leave you feeling something you've never felt before

I watched this show by accident. It was recommended to me online and I was honestly kind of apprehensive because I usually don't like historical dramas. But let me tell you, this show had me sucked in. It took me about three days of binge watching to finish and I just couldn't put my laptop down. I genuinely didn't even want to go sleep because I kept thinking about watching this show. The romance honestly wasn't the main thing that kept me hooked. It was the interesting story, mysteries, and conflict that kept me eagerly waiting for the next scene. The romance was complex and honestly quite one-sided. During the 16th episode, I just got this terrible feeling that this show would not have a happy ending, and I was right. For the first half of the last episode I wasn't really that sad, but then the emotions hit me like a truck and the tears just wouldn't stop. This show beautifully portrayed a complex relationship and its tragic end. I put the rewatch value at one star because I don't think I could handle the depression that this show put me through ever again.

This show is a train wreck but I can't seem to look away

INCOMING RANT: The main lead, Jungwoo, has the personality of a tree. Not only this but him and Haeyi have almost ZERO chemistry. Like they don't even feel like friends. They just exist. Then there's the second male lead, Sunho. And sweet Jesus, the fact that people think he should be with Haeyi is concerning. Haeyi already rejected him, yet he continues to approach her. And to make things worse, when Haeyi is VERY drunk, he kisses her?! He literally took advantage of her. I mean, Sunho is just a walking red flag for these reasons: he can't take "no" for an answer, continues to approach Haeyi with romantic intentions, and takes advantage of Haeyi when she's drunk. I mean, why would anyone think that Sunho is good for Haeyi? Or for any woman for that matter. Anyways, I don't really ship Haeyi with any of the leads, but if I HAD to choose, I think Jungwoo is much better for her. The main redeeming factor for this show is the interesting story and mystery aspect. The whole creepy stalker thing leaves you on edge. The romance, however, will leave you angry and confused.
