Great stress reliever !
I don't really have high hope before watching this drama bcs tbh I am usually the type that only give drama/movies a try when the leads are super famous. To my surprise, there hasn't any episode that I skipped yet, I laughed a lot, has a bit of seriousness but they manage to slide some funny twist between it which failed me feel the cold air everytime 🤣 each episode is getting interesting. The acting is great, I especially love the trapped chef's monologues.
For someone that take history seriously, this might not be for you, but if you are willing to set the history part aside, you will be pleased with every scene in this drama.
Update:
I finished the drama! Still a great roller coaster ride! I kinda wish Bong Hwan to stay in the historical period since he and CheolJong seemed to love each other. Choeljong even said he felt something missing after SoYong is back. However, watching the extra ep of Bamboo Forest, I think SoYong and CheolJong already fell in love on their first encounter as adults bcs CheolJong kept her hairtie, and Soyong too was obviously swayed by him, not to say their childhood memories. Not the ending that I wish but it'ss great for Bong Hwan too, he got a fresh successful future ahead and he knows Choeljong had a great life with Soyong by reading the history, he got his closure and can move forward.

Nevertheless, ( the red flags)
Edit 2:Aye guys! I watched ep 4-7 in fast-forward mode. My conclusion: this drama (main couple) stucks in a loophole since ep 2.
Some progress on the side characters but it still felt more like a background noise/fillers to me.
Sure it's mature age viewing but this is a LOT of sex, it lost it's charm almost immediately.
My summary: two fuck buddies tryna settle for love
-non existent character growth on main characters
-flat plot, loop, boring
-very slow pace
-no meaningful communication/lacks communication
-nothing is in depth, just surface written character
-??????
-great drama for someone who loves tension and stress
Edit:
We all have that one friend who would balled her eyes out for some mfs and swore to god she was so over him and the next thing you know, they're back together again. Right? This drama is it, basically. Nothing more nothing less. So far, no depth, no other core plot. 1 point for being very realistic tho.
This relationship is entirely based on look and lust. Na Bi saw Jae Eon once and girl was already sold. They didn't trade any meaningful conversation. Just 'Want some fuck? Want kiss? Leave me alone!, Where are you going ?' Roller coaster.
Ep 3 felt like a repetition of ep 2, ep 2 and 1 can be just 1 ep. Very slow.
Every ep ends with sexual act/tease. Cheap cliffhanger. Sex and kiss is not enough to hook me, sorry.
Sol has distinct personality, interesting & more story to offer compared to FL, weak, boring, indecisive, lack confidence, can't even excel her studies most probably bcs she can't think of anything except love 24/7.
ML is kinda bland, basic fuckboy starting pack. Pretty looking, tall, no boundaries, narcissistic. That's it?
Other characters are like...idk, they felt like some background noise to me.
Except from being realistic and 2-3 pretty shots and close up of 2 people making out, nothing impressed me.
That being said, even if I have nothing against cheating,
this drama will still be getting low rating from me.
Dropping . Might recommend this to my 'Na Bi' girlfriends to knock some sense.

Previous comments on Episode 1 and 2:
Are we fantasizing cheaters now? I don't like where this drama is heading. I might be judging it too early, but it seems like it. As someone who had been cheated before, I personally find the first 2 eps disturbing.
The FL is like; I know he's suspicious, my close friend warned me about him but he made my heart flutter so that's enough justification. That's love, nevertheless. I hate how indecisive/slow she is. Girl just witnessed ML kissing another girl with her own eyes and was okay and proceeded to make out with him right at the same spot! WTF
Slow burn drama, no where near romantic, just red flags. If you have PTSD getting cheated, this is not the drama for you.
We'll see how this drama goes.

Great complement for weekend relaxation.
Personally, this theme feels like a breath of fresh air since we've been fed with a lot of dark-nerve wrecking dramas for the last 2 years. (Vincenzo, Flower of Evil, Mouse, The Devils Judge, Beyond evil etc).Too put it simple, it doesn't stress you out. A lot of happy moments and a little here and there of every other emotions.
Pros:
A lot of life lesson. Warm and touching. This drama perfectly present POVs from a hardworking wife, a husband, a single dad, a stepmom etc that people always bottle up and avoid talking about it.
Aesthetic-served. Cinematography is similar to Lovestruck in the City.
OSTs just stuck in your head.
Cons:
But, I personally felt like there's something missing towards the end of the story. We've been reminded on every episode how Du Sik suffers from trauma but it was just at ep 15 when everyone half-assedly apologize and he seemed rather fine all of sudden? I don't know.
Every conflicts seemed to be unfold and resolved on ep15 and 16 like and that's it?
Some episodes on second half felt like fillers.
Also SikHye romantic moments are a little too much/cringey for me.

Anyway, I'd still recommend this to someone who needed something light for their weekend.

Not as badass as it seemed in the trailer.
This drama has dark-heavy plot. Storyline is ok ish to me, it could get better, who knows. So far, the plot is going steadily, pace is on the slow side.I really wanted to give Han So Hee another chance after Nevertheless but she doesn't fit this role.
FL in this drama supposed to be a woman who knows how to fight, strong willed, a gangster daughter. But the way she beats people up screams weak, the posture and spar technique is not convincing. Facial expressions looked like someone who's given up on herself rather than someone who seeks revenge. It doesn't bring out badass girl aura. She was out of breath and panting beating people up even after she 'grew up and received years of training'. This alone puts me off bcs I solely came for her and had such high expectations after watching the trailer.

Happy Pills for Weekend.
Great show. I'm a fan since season 2. Season 4 is when the members are more respectable towards each other. They took some time to warmed up and be close to each other (awkward in 3-5months earlier episodes. Kim Jong Min is still hilarious. My fav is still s3, but this season is good too. Ravi and Se Yoon make a great mukbang. DinDin's tenacity can be quite irritating to watch sometimes (personal view). Jung Hoon is the ajuhssi and more laid back similar to the late Joo Hyuk except he didn't get teased into oblivion by the juniors. Seon Ho is the visual, and holds the lucky card in game of chance.Anyways, let's hope they don't replace all of the members and PDs bcs of KSH scandal or I'm going to throw hands. Kim Jong Min needs to STAY.

Fresh but slow ride
I know it's too early to judge anything but so far, everything is very slow and mellow. Every episode did not excite me and I found myself fast forwarding scenes. Talk too much about sex and that seemed to be the story for the whole ep2, which I personally did not enjoy. It's mature love drama with fresh interview-like concept, the acting is undeniably good, aesthetic cinematography. If you are the patience, chill, romantic type of person, this will suit your taste. If you enjoy Encounter, Romance is a Bonus Book, Record of Youth, this is YOUR type of drama. Those who didn't better wait until the whole series is finished because this is slower than any drama I have mentioned.
I will keep watching until ep5 and will consider dropping if it didn't progress regardless Ji Chang Wook/Kim Ji Won which are amongst my fav.
