Rewatch value definitely 10. I rewatched it immediately and most likely I’ll go back to it every now and then. Such a simple and sweet story and the way it came full circle. I really liked that a lot. The chemistry was definitely there, the flow was very natural. Loved it. So many movies are ruined by lack of chemistry. They seemed comfortable with each other.
I wanna complain that it was too short. But then maybe this was just the perfect length. :) I hope to find more gems like this one.

An ode to Hoon!
After circling ep 5 for the past 3 days I've found the courage to press play. Tea and tissues were ready. And of course I used the whole pack of tissues. :))))I have been preparing a review for this amazing piece of work since ep 2, ready to praise the two main characters, ready to build a statue for Bas who was such an incredible friend and support even when it meant it might not be in his favor. Of course I was ready to praise the director. After watching the documentaries, I realized it took a village to make this touching story, not just the writer and the director and the actors. So I wanted to build a statue for them too. :))
But after watching ep 5, my hero became Hoon. He patiently waited for Teh to open up and then finally gave him that little nudge Teh needed. And his words were just so powerful. I wish every kid that faces that fear and struggle ( and why not even adult that take longer to find themselves), had a Hoon. Without Hoon, I think Teh would have gone on to be a sad story.
Trying to live life to fit other people's expectations, or to fit into a mold, is exhausting, consuming and just a road to self-inflicting unhappiness. Nothing is worse than when you pushing your own self into the box of small mindedness in exchange for acceptance.
Well, I'll stop here before I write more cliches. I am aware it's not that easy. I'm one of those adults that took longer. :))
If you are a Teh, just know that you don't owe the world, and you definitely don't owe your parents anything. You didn't volunteer for this world, but here you are. Make the best of it with the little it offers lately. :) Being yourself outweighs the idiots out there. ;))

Am super excited about the next part. The special was promising. They seem to match. :)

Still, no matter how I look at it, Gu Hai is really going about showing his affections to Bai Luo Yin the wrong way. I didn't not find it endearing not even at the end when they were in the car alone. What he said sounded literally threatening, but I guess it was supposed to be some sort of declaration of love and commitment?!?
All that aggression made me sad, because this could have been a nice series that was actually given a happy ending for a change.

Predictable, but not in a bad way!
Thanks to a slight fever and laryngitis I got to watch it earlier than I thought it will happen. Before I say anything else I will point out the acting. I loved it. Main cast, support cast, fantastic job and greatly directed. Only for that I'd give it a high mark. They got it right. The chemistry was there. Beautiful!
So, considering the time period I kinda foresaw how the story will go. At least neither of the characters ended up dead. So that already makes it a happy ending story. What makes these stories, that happened so often in those days, special is how you relate to it. I think for me, it came with a lot of mixed feelings and brought back some "regrets". I put regrets in quotation marks because they aren't really regrets. More like "I wonder how my life would have turned out if..." But yeah, too late for those kinda thoughts. :)))
I guess the younger generation should definitely take this piece of art as a lesson. Be honest with yourself cause time doesn't wait for you. There is no pause button. Avoid regrets even if later you'll use quotation marks for them. :)
Enjoy the movie either for its historical value or its lessons, which are loud and clear. Time flies, so make the best of it. :)

Bit Fat 10
Indeed, I was generous..again. I am giving it a big fat 10, and yes one of the reasons is that beautiful fairly steamy ending. (for a k-bl that was steamy..lol) I did give it a nice 10 for the story, too. It was a more mature. It was pretty well put together. It had a nice flow.But..but..BUT.. my 10 definitely goes to this beautiful line, which I hope it won't be considered a spoiler: "If it's okay with you, I don't mind people finding out." Now that...that got me bad. I am not ashamed to admit that it made me bawl my eyes out. I think I appreciated that the most. Considering the circumstances in the story and in the reality of the gay community in South Korea, that line can definitely be considered equal to "i love you to death". (I hope I'm wrong and things are better there, and I guess these latest shorts are an indication of that)
Also, I think future K-BL's are screwed after this one, because when it comes to skinship these guys raised the bar pretty high. Anyone who says that doesn't matter is lying. ;))
So, though I still have special love for Mr. Heart, this one really deserves a 10 (too). :))

It's not easy to keep up with Kdrama. So many to watch, so little time. But I am a fan of Yoo Seung Ho, so even though I hesitated to watch this drama, eventually my wish to see him act won and I dived in with zero expectations...and I ended up binge watching it. I could not stop.
What I loved the most about it was the chemistry of the cast. I think it's the key to success. You can have the best cast and the best story, but if they don't click in front of the camera you'll end up with a disaster. I'll reference here Thirty But Seventeen fiasco, in my humble opinion.
One second I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt and next second I was grabbing for tissues sobbing like a teenage girl that got dumped by her celebrity idol (and I am nowhere near a teenager).
On a serious note, what I liked the most about it was the acceptance of the different they tried to promote. The desire to help someone. I didn't find the usual shallowness in this one. Also they managed to come full circle and wrap it up elegantly.
I'll stop here simply because it's hard to say more without spoiling it and I'll just say, it's worth watching because it's a well rounded drama.
Enjoy!

2 Moons 2: The Series

Directing...am conflicted to comment on it because the behind the scenes parts seemed fun, but somehow that fun was never transferred to the screen. I found the pace very slow, especially when it came to Pha and Yo's story line.
It ended with "to be continued", so I presume there will be more of it. I do hope so and I do hope they'll all be more comfortable with each other and come across more natural. I did like all the actors, even the "bad guy". He played his role very well. Hope to see him again. So yeah... :)

It's not the end until is the end!
Magnifico! as they would say in ballet. :)I took my time with this one. It was very close to home so it made it hard. Zewa should award me customer fidelity and a box of tissues. It wasn't an easy watch, especially for someone that still has dreams but feels silly about them. We should never put age limits on dreams, right? But when reality checks hit you in the face day after day it's really hard. So, yeah...I'm someone that needed Navillera. I guess i am not done after all. :)
I should be reviewing the series. What is a review? A critical appraisal... I got nothing to criticize here. :)))
Don't watch something cause someone said so, and don't skip cause someone couldn't relate to it. Different strokes for different folks. What today didn't fit the bill, tomorrow might. I mean I am not sure how I'd see this if i were only 20-25 years old. I hope regardless of age people watch it and appreciate for what it is. A warning. :)) Time goes by with you or without you.

My Wife’s Having an Affair this Week

Without giving away much this is about a long time married guy that accidentally finds out his wife is about to cheat on him. As one can only imagine, it leads to sometimes comical situations as well as uncomfortable situations that most of the world would hope to avoid during their life time. Truth is life is not that simple and things we think it just can’t happen to us, they do. I used to think that and now instead of being married with 3 kids, I'm divorced with one kid. :) Don't pity me, it was for the best of everyone, and it didn't involve cheating on either side.
I love the main cast but I must say what really made this special was the precious and colorful support cast. BoA was amazing. It's my first time seeing her act. I saw her on "Ask us anything" and I enjoyed her humor a lot.
There are so many things I want to say about each character but it would only show my perception on them. But please allow me to mention the "jerk" of the series played by Kim Hee Won and I can’t imagine it being played by anyone else. He did such a great job that there was not one ep in which I didn't wanna slap him. Also I'll mention the "creepy spy" Eun Min Ji, played by none other than the adorable Lee Do Yeon that has embraced her little role impeccably.
I hope you enjoy this series without too much prejudice and you learn to sympathize with the main cast. Life is not easy.

fell short... :(
I feel a bit bad to say anything negative about it because I am so thankful for the effort made lately to give us nice BL stories. But yeah, I do have to be honest despite my thankfulness. It fell short and I am not even sure why really. The concept was pretty good and fresh. I read some saying it was rushed. Duhhh..they are so short that you have to fit it in. The thing is that this time there was so much to the story that I think they just didn't manage to fit it in and that left this hole. I liked both of the boys, and I felt they are really trying their best, but there seemed to be a bit of a wall, same as in Wish you. So far no matter how much I wanna like them all, still Mr. Heart is the best from every pov. I am not sure why am comparing. :) Can't help it. I shouldn't. Cause they are all a story in their own right. Still...i will most likely rewatch it, simply cause am happy for the progress.Cet avis était-il utile?
