tw: toxic relationship | not for the judgemental!!
Honestly I really liked this drama, it's definitely a slowburn that's worth waiting for unlike most fluffy dramas. I definitely love the FL and ML, had such great chemistry in the bts. I don't wanna spoil anything, so just gonna briefly describe the story.1. Story. Not too harsh for the heart, definitely a smooth and satisfactory story that I really like. The plot(s) weren't that surprising either which is good imo, because complex stories are harder to understand but this drama definitely gives a nice ride.
2. Acting. Of course, per usual, well done. ZLH's expressions definitely do make me feel some type of way, smirking, grinning and scoffing I love it! For me, I really hate it when characters have a really stale expression, small details really do matter just like micro expressions so he did them really well. Bai Lu, insane acting skills however I do think she could use a little more expressions as well that isn't written on the script, in order to emphasize her character even more. (As a Bai Lu fan)
3. I think the music was alright, but I do think it's low-key overused, but definitely can't blame them as the OST's that are used for the scenario must fit the situation. When I first heard of the opening scene of SOKP, I was rlly invested though, I liked the unique idea of it.
4. As for rewatch value, I don't think ut deserves a 10 because everyone have their different preferences and opinions, so I'll leave it open to everyone's own idea.
5. Overall, I think this drama definitely should be watched, toy can watch it during your free time (recommended) or anytime!!

meh start, meh story
only started watching this drama because of the edits I've been seeing on tiktok for this drama but I'm not sure wether to continue this drama or not. hear me out, I was hooked on the episode where ML stepped in for FL to continue the drinking game with the general BUT.. it literally fell short next episode, as if nothing had happened earlier on. I've seen many dramas with similar plots like this, FL gets trauma and wants to get stronger, then coincidentally meet a cold Duke /Emperor/Idk ( As long as they have high ranks ) Then, in the end they slowly fall in love. I didn't had anything against this drama except for the fact that the teasing seemed so invisible and light. In order to attract an audience especially ppl in their youth (13-21) most dramas have these scenes included but for some reason it just feels like nothing. Because FL is so strong (?), independent, perfect, she doesn't have much challenges ( so far ) and is able to solve any challenges that is in her way without much complicity. AND.. apparently the teasing and joking doesn't affect her either, her expressions are always so dull, stale or just slightly angry ( glare, stare, blank ) like what?! After the rain scene I was shooked and thought I might give this drama a second chance, but damn they just returned to their usual lives and ML just flirts. That's it.Sorry not sorry, but if you're into those dull and boring kinda dramas I'd recommend this for you because this just ain't it. The only thing keeping me going is the antagonists, they seem pretty evil and dumb/stupid which is why im staying, to see their downfall. The wanning princess has potential to be a real villian and I'm interested for what she'll do in future. I can already predict that when she meets her downfall, there's going to be someone helping her and thus it will lead to angst
or miscommunication or problems in between MLs relationship in general Boring show, predictable style type of drama, NEXT PLEASE.

Excited and wanting more rn
Story so far is soo good, but I don't know why the haters are already writing down 1 star reviews when we're just 25% into the entire series. I swear, these people can deny it as much as they want but it will never benefit you in any way if you hate on Bailu, it hasn't even been a week and people are already complaining, then go and make a better film instead of spending your time online just to hate on her?Anyways, let's put that aside. I've been seeing alot of comments regarding about the cgi and unfortunately I have to agree as well, it's horrible. And no I am not hating on Bailu, I'm doing the literal opposite, just gonna complain about the production team and everyone in that mini circle. No words can describe how much I hate the people who was in charge of filming and editing the scenes of Bailu ( and the rest of the cast ). They be choosing the most random ass looking angle to film, thinking they had done a good job but it's sad, because I have a question. How much experience do these guys even have in filming? I doubt I could do any worser, let alone a freaking toddler who has no experience whatsoever in the field of filming. Was the camera too heavy? Did a bird flew in their eye throughout the months of recording? Do they have eye problems? What seems to even be the issue, seriously. I've never once watched a drama, focusing solely on the scenes with random angles. I'm ranting so much because I'm so angry, Bailu casted into this piece of trash of a drama where she has people criticizing her because of the production team's fault who suck at their jobs. Seriously so done with the antis, they could eat crap for all I care. It's not her fault she was casted into this drama without knowing the filmers would be this garbage, it's truly a pity for her, if the filmers had done their job right then the haters will finally shut their mouth up. As for the editors... RETIRE PLEASE. I'm more than 999% sure that MM ha a big budget so why the hell do these people look like their new to CGI? I feel so upset, because I wanted Bailu to shine a lot this year and I am greeted with this, this drama is such a humiliation to her. If I was her, I'd sue.
Sigh.. but whatever, I'm still watching till the end for Bailu <3, why am I even ranting lol. So if anyone is even reading this, PLEASE watch the end and make sure to give MM a good rating. I know this drama probably already doesn't deserve it already because of the quality of the drama, but please do consider Bailu's rep and help her out. Right now, the story is actually pretty interesting and I really love the romance which is starting to form between her and ML. Just let the poor written script slide for once, it's not her fault that the production team is like this, she couldn't have predicted that this drama will start and end like that. :P
Personally for me, nothing as matters as long as a story is written well and interesting. Set your priorities straight, don't ditch some actors just because of faults that isn't even theirs to begin with, they're actors who literally have to follow whatever that's written and given to them lol. They can't decide how their makeup, costume or dialogues will be like, nor their personality.

**My existence for your death**
GOSH! This drama was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, I even thought it would have a happy ending during the last 30+ episodes but boy was I robbed!! 😭 This drama has got to be my favourite so far, and I would have loved it even more if it didn't have disappointing plots that could have been handled better. ( Like the misunderstanding scene where Ye Xiwu was controlled by Tantai Jin because he thought she wanted to poison him, IF ONLY they communicated better on that part man 😭 that's prolly why it led to such a disaster ) However, all and all, great story that is quite different from most which I really really enjoyed, I've rewatched this a few times already and I'm planning on watching it every year on my Birthday so this memory won't erase from my mind. 💓Cet avis était-il utile?
