Sequel did NOT disappoint
I was left confused and heartbroken after the little scene with Shi De and his step-sister. This season hurt me, I will not lie. If I thought Shi De being hurt by Shu Yi going on a date with a girl in season 1 was hurting, this hits far differently. While it was obvious there was a reason for Shu Yi being mean to Shi De, as a viewer I couldn't help but feel sad for BOTH of them, not just one of the characters. This Shi De had his reasons for not clearing things up with Shu Yi and Shu Yi in turn was in his right to feel betrayed after what he witnessed. In fact, anyone in his shoes would probably act that way. While Shu Yi continued being mean to Shi De, I applaud his maturity to handle things calmly rather than the usual 'violent and creating more misunderstandings' ways of how these situations are normally handled.I do not like the assistants (mainly Shi De's former friend) butting in as if it is any of their business to "advise" Shu Yi on what he's supposed to do. Just because the guy didn't like you, doesn't mean you get to feel enjoyment seeing his love life going to shit. The one thing I was a little off about was Shi De's little drunken "mistake". However, something good did come out of that. Shu Yi finally learned the truth behind Shi De's silence.
I am also glad we got a little more backstory on the cousin's former love and what happened to the guy that was mentioned/thought of in season 1. What I would've liked is a little more explanation of what exactly happened to Zhen Xuan.
But yeah, I can say this is one of those shows where there is no toxicity, just parents interference when it comes to their kids lives and thinking they know what's best for them.

Best school love BL I've seen so far
I normally don't give 10/10 for everything when it comes to a show or movie but with this one, I just had to. There is really not much to say aside from a very well-known and used trope done well. The story was simple, and straight to the point with little bits of funny, sweet, and painful moments. The music tracklist fit well and the acting did not make me cringe at all. All the actors sold their roles perfectly and made it really enjoyable for me to want to rewatch it again and again. What I do wish for is more backstory on Shi De's cousin (which I know we see a little bit more of in season 2) but it still left a few gaps here and there. I wanted to know more about his backstory, more about his relationship with Shi De. They did do the character justice in portraying his inability to feel.
I love the way the series began, a little school rivalry turned into an amazing love story for the two boys. There wasn't too much dragging on from Shu Yi's side while he came to terms with his feelings for Shi De. I understand, coming to terms with your feelings and understanding them doesn't happen overnight but I've also seen stories where it's dragged on long enough to create more misunderstandings or have other people swoop in and steal the other. For a school love, it was well balanced in my opinion.

Not a very likeable MC
This has happened before where I liked every other character except the main characters. In my case, that would be Dao. The little bantering moments between him and Kleun, when they met again, were funny and nice to watch. Their friends/roommates added to the overall enjoyment of watching the series. I didn't like Typhoon that much because he reminds me of those 'try-hard and can't take the obvious no' for an answer. While Dao never rejected him, he knew and kept ignoring the signs and was all up in Dao's space. The character I felt was the most wronged in this series was Kleun. He never rejected Dao but rather was unable to explain himself. That's something he struggles with, expressing his feelings, which is actually related since I am very much like Kleun. Their roommates and friends could see the obvious feelings the two have for each other except Dao and this kept making him see Kleun as the bad guy whenever he couldn't put into words what Dao wanted to hear. I felt like Kleun was the one trying the most while Dao kept messing things up.
The way he reacted when Kleun got a call from a distressed Gia and making him choose at that moment was too much. Feelings and ex-girlfriend status aside, that was still Kleun's friend who obviously needed help at that moment. There was no time to feel hurt but rather to feel like a human and try to understand. Instead, he accepted to be Phoon's boyfriend for the day. Which obviously didn't end well. And this is another reason why I do not like Phoon. There were so many ways to show Kleun what they talked to him about but instead chose an option that made everything even more messy.
In all honesty, I kept watching because of Kleun as I wanted him to have a happy ending as well as Fah.

I will be honest, I skipped every scene involving the step-brothers. It makes me uncomfortable how the younger one got XingSi drunk and forcibly slept with him. On top of that filmed the whole encounter. Yeah, that ended well when it was shown to the dad, right? What is even more fucked up is the mother being aware of everything and encouraging the younger brother? His reasoning is just bullshit to me. Who is he to decide that he's the best person for XingSi to be with? Someone who is so obsessed that they would r*** their step-brother in an attempt to be with him is messed up in the head and needs help. For me, he basically emotionally blackmailed XingSi to be with him. That is the one thing I hate about this series, is how they romanticized what happened to XingSi, made him forgive his younger brother, and jump into a relationship with him. As for the main couple, it was both cute and heartbreaking to see their journey. I understand some people not understanding Licheng "I'm not interested in guys, just TingTing" but it's not hard to understand. It just means that LiCheng loves TingTing on an emotional level. For him, he fell for the person, not the gender and he at least, did not do any fucked up shit to be with TingTing. Instead, when TingTing rejected him, he backed off. I loved their pairing and they really sold their character and brought some redemption to the series.

Too Short
The only reason I gave this 9.5/10 is because....2 SHORT VIDEOS/MV?? Really??!?!?This was enough to show us that if it's made into a series, it would make for an amazing one. The story was captivating and the acting was on point. The fact that the actors themselves are good-looking, adds a bonus. No, but seriously, I am still hoping for an actual series on this or a BL drama with the twins and Ryan.
I would've liked to see Xia De and Ryan's characters get together eventually instead of fighting each other over a guy that betrayed/played with both of their feelings. I would also hope for more story revolving the other twin. What I really loved to see as well was the strong bond between the twins.
