Lead couple/storyline leaves much to be desired and is not helped by controversial aspects.
Very cute side stories (Yusung, Hoyoung, Kibum, and Soohyuk's storylines are amazing!)However, the main couple leaves something to be desired. Taesung is somewhat unlikeable, and the "gone to Africa" savior story is simply intolerable. The whole thing is made up to make a few points:
1. Taesung is actually very kind, although he is rude to Oh Hanbyeol.
2. Taesung is crazyily into Hanbyeol enough that he would leave the country and pause his career for a year.
3. Taesung hasn't talked to Hanbyeol in a year, but he still thinks about her a lot.
But all of these points above could've been made with SO many other scenarios. For example, Taesung could've started a charity where he gave back to the local underprivileged children and then had a year where he shot a drama in a foreign country.The producers are so out of touch with the world outside of Korea, specifically in the countries in Africa, that they couldn't even been bothered to name a singular country in Africa.
Also, the leads have mediocre chemistry with each other, and everything feels very rushed to be fit into the 16 episode limit, since they spent so much of the first 5/6 episodes just establishing that Taesung and Hanbyeol bicker all the time. To be honest, the couple of Jin Yuna and Yoon Jaehyun have much more chemistry than the leads and their storyline is much more enjoyable to keep up with. If I'm being completely honest, the potential couple of Soohyuk & Kibum has me squealing more than Taesung & Hanbyeol.
TLDR: The saving graces of this drama are the great supporting characters!

disappointing and uncomfortable to watch
i think someone else left a much better worded review that describes all the awful faults with this, but one thing i just can't get over is how many GOOD reviews there are of a show that has literally been so awful to watch after the first three episodes. the plot is subpar, the anti-feminist messages are vomit inducing, the portrayal of the lgbtq community is even worse, and the chemistry is never there between the bongsoon and minhyuk. the humor is not funny and i'm being so for real when i say the only reason why i watched past episode 6 was for gukdoo.Cet avis était-il utile?
love this drama! might be the best kdrama i've seen yet!
I binged this whole show in about 4 days cause it was just so good! My little brother is a baseball player, so I decided to watch it bc it looked pretty interesting. This show is heartfelt and hits on all of the right notes for me. I'm only taking off 0.5 points because there are some scenes where I felt so annoyed at certain things, but overall, the story, the acting, and the character development from ML/FL/every important character was just so on point!btw, I noticed at the end that there wasn't really a romantic component, and I think I was more than happy to not have that be a thing lol!

Red Light is a great song! (wanted to complain a bit about the lack of discussion around therapy)
So first, as I finished watching the drama (binged in two days lol), I immediately looked up the OST and saved Red Light into my playlist. I still have no clue who J.DON is, but I loved his voice and the upbeat rap song that he wrote! Red Light is now on my faves playlist and it'll probs be there for a while.Another thing, the drama was pretty good - there were great performances by the lead characters and the plot lines were great - but I was left confused after every episode why it was portrayed like a person struggling mental health is something that can be solved by one conversation. I personally wish they spoke more about getting continuous help and lowering the stigma around therapy, but because I am not from Korea, I don't know what the current culture around therapy is and if it is even accessible to those who are not well-off.

Dropped this show after watching the 9th episode!
idk.... it's a nice show, but after being too curious for my own good, i looked it up on here, and after seeing that little to no people enjoyed the episodes after ep10, i think i should just healthily cut myself off before i get frustrated like others.so far, i've had a good experience watching this show. it's not as well written as i hoped it to be, but it's good for the episodes that i did watch it.
also, i'm not the biggest fan of the song "romantic sunday" ... i'm not sure why, but it gets on my nerves lol
