Nice Guys Finish First
Guys that are generally nice, or at least good to the heroine instead of being a jerk-face until he falls in love with her. Yeah, I said jerk-face. I'm mature like that. ;P

1. W - Two Worlds Apart
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Even while his world is crumbling around him, he still apologizes to the main lead for yelling at her (though it was once and briefly, lol). How cute is that? He's a decent guy and you can tell he really has consideration for the feelings of those around him.

2. Kimi Wa Petto
Japanese Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
He stays nice 98.7% of the time (sometimes even when he shouldn't) because he's so intuitive he can understand all the pain that motivates Sumire.
-
3. Secret Love Affair
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
He's arguably the only "good" character in the whole show. And that's why she fell for him: he was her beacon of light and goodness in her dark world.
-
4. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Ehh...he's a bit immature in the beginning but not malicious. Just your average guy at that age. But then he becomes adorably supportive and caring.
-
5. Descendants of the Sun
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Cocky, yes. Flirtatious, yes. Flippant, yes. But not a jerk. He respected her boundaries and waited for her to make up her mind about what she wanted.
-
6. While You Were Sleeping
Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes
I love the angle of him NOT being perfect and suave all the while trying to hide his dorkiness from her. The opposite of what we usually see in that type of attorney/businessman role.
-
7. Queen In Hyun's Man
Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes
Though naturally reserved, he's courteous and kind from the beginning. Pretty much the Joseon era version of a fairy tale prince charming.
-
8. Ishitachi no Renai Jijo
Japanese Drama - 2015, 11 episodes
He's almost too much of a nice guy. He's stand up for his beliefs but because of his oath to help others, he wouldn't defend himself in a physical fight which I think is taking it a bit too far.
-
9. Kill Me, Heal Me
Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
His host personality is very humble and kind, taking responsibility for all that his alters do. And though his other personalities can be raucous they treat the female lead well...(lol maybe not Yoo Na).
-
10. Secret Love
Korean Drama - 2014, 10 episodes
The male lead in the first story (eps 1 & 2) was such a sweetheart. Overall I don't know if she was good enough for him, but in the end at least she tried.
-
11. I Hear Your Voice
Korean Drama - 2013, 18 episodes
Such a sweetheart, even when he's being a bit sassy lol. The pedestal he put her on started to crumble but he still stayed by her side and adored her.
-
12. Something in the Rain
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this male lead character. He's so sweet and so protective but not in a domineering way. He's pretty much my fictional boyfriend now, lol. But seriously, he's an excellent depiction of the type of guy that should be boyfriend material and I'm so happy to see it.

13. The K2
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
He may be an ex-mercenary but he cooked her ramen and was decent from the start, though aloof at times for the sake of his profession.
-
14. Kang Koo's Story
Korean Special - 2014, 2 episodes
In the description it described him as a gangster and I thought he'd be a cold, rough guy. He was such a sweetheart! A little awkward, charming but not in a player way. He was warm which made the contrast of his past life and his desire to leave it behind all the more real.
-
15. Witch's Romance
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
At first I was worried he'd be two dimensional because he was almost TOO nice, i.e. charity work, stepping in for others in need. Like they were going for this perfect guy with no flaws. But he ended up well rounded with a personality that was not as passive as upon first glance and definitely not a doormat.
-
16. Drama Special Season 8: You Are Closer Than I Think
Korean Special - 2017, 1 episode
He was just a sweet, book loving guy.
-
17. Come and Hug Me
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
It's not so much his non-reactions to the hate thrown his way for the actions of his father that make him a nice guy. That is an almost pathological need to swallow what he feels he must endure to atone sins that aren't his own. What makes him a nice guy is how much he treats the people in his life and treasures them.
