Variety Shows
I adore variety shows. Something about them just cheers me up and I'm fascinated by the interactions. It's funny because I can't stand anything like them here in the States, but these definitely have their own charm.

1. Running Man
Korean TV Show - 2010, 740 episodes
This show will be my all time favorite variety show forever. They're a family. They've made me laugh, cry, get goosebumps...sometimes all at once.
-
2. 2PM SHOW!
Korean TV Show - 2011, 12 episodes
My favorite of the 2PM shows. Showcases their relationships and all their unique quirks. Except starting with the "slumber party" was a little weird...
-
3. Wild Bunny
Korean TV Show - 2009, 7 episodes
Some interesting insights into the guys, but not a show I enjoyed overall.
-
4. We Got Married Global Edition: Season 1
Korean TV Show - 2013, 15 episodes
Of course I watched this for Taecyeon and fell in love with the format. So. Stinking. Cute. I didn't care much for GuiGui but Taec was adorable and nervous.
One of my favorite moments was when Lee Hong Ki was so touched by Fujii Mina playing his song on the piano he sang along. You could tell he was very moved by her gesture.

5. We Got Married Global Edition: Season 2
Korean TV Show - 2014, 15 episodes
Didn't like this as much as the other one. Key was charming and took good care of his "wife". Kim Hee Chul didn't impress me and nor did I feel a connection.
-
6. B.A.P Killing Camp
Korean TV Show - 2012, 3 episodes
Well, I wasn't expecting to stan another group and then I watched these three little episodes and I was a gonner. These guys are such lovable dorks, and if I can fall for them after three episodes that's saying something.

7. MyDOL
Korean TV Show - 2012, 8 episodes
My first exposure into the behind the scenes work of the Idol industry and I was FASCINATED. My heart ached for these boys and I was so impressed by their dedication. For people that are fans of VIXX this is a must watch to see some of the early interactions between the guys. Hyuk was scared of Taekwoon. Let that irony sink in.

8. The Romantic and Idol: Season 1
Korean TV Show - 2012, 8 episodes
A cute show. Mostly I learned that our Jun.K is quite the gentleman.
-
9. Vixx's One Fine Day
Korean TV Show - 2015, 8 episodes
Beautiful scenery and funny guys. Felt like a trip with friends.
-
10. NO.MERCY
Korean TV Show - 2014, 10 episodes
Another show about the process of becoming an idol. It felt like they played up the drama more than Mydol but still definitely showed how brutal a world it is.
-
11. Deokspatch
Korean TV Show - 2014, 10 episodes
Basically a way for the producers to see which potential idol was more popular with fans and also practice fan service. Some very cringy moments but also a few sweet ones.
-
12. Deokspatch X
Korean TV Show - 2015, 7 episodes
Better than the previous version since they incorporated games and have the set members for the group.
-
13. Deokspatch X2
Korean TV Show - 2015, 8 episodes
They best version imo because the games were better and they were getting a little less awkward. Plus Wonho's scream while playing water games is the thing unicorns and rainbows are made of. :D
-
14. MONSTA X's Right Now!
Korean TV Show - 2016, 6 episodes
And now the group's individuality has started to come out and shine. My favorite of their specials that I've seen. I.M's deadpan while riding the Viking is so extra, lol.
-
15. We Got Married: Season 2
Korean TV Show - 2008, 91 episodes
Only watched for Nichkhun and Victoria, they were sweet but not a favorite. The other season with Wooyoung's couple was HILARIOUS. He was so nervous and awkward, poor guy, but it just made him all the cuter.
-
16. Season 1: Hello Counselor
Korean TV Show - 2010, 431 episodes
They tackle a lot of different subject matters from amusingly quirky to legitimately concerning with humor and a surprising amount of sensitivity given the setting. It's a show I watch while waiting for another episode of Running Man or as a sorbet of sorts between dramas, lol.
-
17. Mystère résolu!
Korean TV Show - 2018, 10 episodes
Such a unique--if not odd--premise, and I still can't decide if I like it or not. Very murder mystery dinner plus escape room with the cast playing themselves..but not. The concept of bringing in guests to play suspects is intriguing but it also can make the "mystery" part rather obvious.

18. Master in the House
Korean TV Show - 2017, 238 episodes
Just started this one and so far I'm loving how awkward the cast are with the masters and each other. Watching a new show find its direction is charming.
