Thai | Chinese | Korean | Turkish Versions compared!

I go back & forth on whether or not I love this version or the Thai version BEST, but I think the Thai version beats this one out by a decent margin, mainly because some of the "middle" plot points here are cut out in ALL the other versions, which really cleans the drama up a bit. However, I do kind of enjoy this one having "extra" stuff going on as well. Set it apart from the rest for sure. All in all, I'd say this one is my SECOND favorite of the 5 versions of this drama that I've watched. ^_^

This variation is probably my FAVORITE. But cuts it close to the original Taiwanese version!

I'd say this one ranks my tied as THIRD/FOURTH favorite in comparison to the others. While I adore the actress who plays the FL here and normally love the ML (in other shows) I didn't love him here, sadly. I did appreciate a little different "plot" here with the ML. (I won't say what the difference is, so as not to spoil anything) 

not as in depth as the other variations and only a S1, so I'm anticipating a S2 for sure. Very well done in shorter episodes Japanese-style! I don't think this variation will be my favorite, but it's done well so far! Still this will definitely land FIFTH/LAST on my "favorite" list of the versions of Fated to Love You/You Are My Destiny! 

This one stays right along the exact same lines as the other versions though Grandma was cool, she wasn't quite as fun as portrayed in other variations of this show. I liked the ML here very much and while the FL was gorgeous, I found her a little bit one-note here. Still, a lovely version of this drama and I enjoyed it very much. I'd say it is tied as myTHIRD/FOURTH favorite in comparison to the others. The ML here has an edge over the Korean version ML BUT the FL lead in the Korean version definitely beats out the FL here, so it kind of ties? 

watched this one to compare to the 2019 version, but imho the 2019 version is way superior than this version. The ML is not a great actor here. The acting in general is much more exaggerated as well. I think the worse thing about THIS older version is that the ML didn't BEGIN with a game plan, wasn't as cold-blooded and methodical as the ML in 2019 version below. That made a HUGE difference for me as to why I prefer the 2019 version. Much better revenge plot.

comparing to Turkish Drama: Meryem

Enjoyed this drama, but I adored the TURKISH VERSION named " Seviyor Sevmiyor" (completed english subs on YouTube) Though this one was cute, I found the comedy and the romance a bit forced/faked. I like the female lead WAY more in the Turkish drama and I loved the 2nd male lead WAY more in the Turkish drama and even feel like the 2ML deserved the FL a ton more than the ML. Also... the Turkish drama gave the FL so much more personality that we fall in love with her as an audience. Finally... the comedy is HILARIOUS in the Turkish version. The only draw back to the Turkish version is the length (28 two-hour episodes) and the kind of crazy/stupid plot devices used towards the end of the series. Still... I prefer the Turkish drama above the Korean & the Chinese versions quite a bit. 

Compared to Korean "She Was Pretty" this one falls a bit short. I'm not sure, I think everything fell just a little flat. Flat characters. Flat romance (read: nonexistent chemistry) and flat comedy/funny moments. It was cute but was the most boring of the 3 versions. (Korean/Chinese/Turkish) 

Since writing my review of the Chinese, Korean, and Turkish versions of "She Was Pretty", this lovely short Japanese version appeared. This one (for me) comes SECOND to the Turkish version because it is cute and the FL is nearly as amazing as the Turkish FL. GREAT & quirky personality and naturally funny! ^_^
