most gut wrenching beautiful dramas ive watched thus far

this is genuinely one of the best shows ive ever seen and also one of the most heartbreaking shows. i will never forget how i felt the first time i watched it and all the hardships jiwoo had to endure (such as losing her father, finding out the person shes trusted the most was the one who killed her father OH MY GOD THE LETTER SCENE WAS THE SADDEST AND BEST ACTING SCENE IVE EVER SEEN HAN SO HEE IS SO SO SO TALENTED THAT CRYING HURT SO BAD, and then losing the only person who she had left and who had JUST told her he would be with her through everything <pildo>) to become the character she was. shes one of the best protagonists that deserves so much better

god. i could go on about this movie forever but i wont let myself. it hurt a lot though. so many painful scenes and so much hurt for both of the characters. i dont regret watching it because the story was so good and realistic but wow. 

this show was just so so real and painful for even the littlest things. all of the actors beautifully portrayed every single scene and emotion possible. i love all of them so much. the funeral scene and mourning afterwards is probably the most realistic thing ive ever seen in film for the aftermaths of death. everyone picked up new roles, grew, broke down, and mourned differently. 

i literally havent even finished this show yet and its already so devastating. so so many sad scenes especially with ko yu-rim and all of the people against na hee-do her entire life. i just know this show is gonna hurt so bad (only 2 eps left) but it was such  beautiful story telling. not to mention the amazing frienships and the way in which baek i-jin and na hee-do's relationship progressed. one of the best friends to lovers ive ever seen. they always just had such good chemistry and na hee-do is again one of the best protagonists existing

okay i finished it sobbing it was so so painful but i cant say its unrealistic, if it was a perfect happpy story they wouldve met again but i guess it wasnt meant to be. i did a lot of crying in the last two episodes i loved the story so much

this movie really hurt so bad, but it was such an incredible story. especially as youre watchig their love story fall apart and realize that the present was black and white because ian didnt have kelly. i read the best review which made it all so clear. both of them were ian and they had lost themselves when they separated so messily, they just survived those years without each other not really living as themselves. when they finally met again and talked through everything, they gave each other closure. ultimately, this led them to find themselves, or kelly, once again. i wish i could watch this for the first time again

just sobbed and sobbed

this show was so heartbreaking and i need to see soo ho better and with si eun again. as the show progressed and beom seok began changing, i figured at the end he would have some forgivable resolve. but that wasn't the case as all. instead, he pushed past the point of any solace. i found his ending very satisfying. si eun beat everyone responsible for soo ho's injury, but when he got to beom seok he could'nt even hit him. this makes sense with everything relating to si eun. throughout the whole show, he kept giving beom seok chance after chance, hoping he would return to who he once was. as he once considered him a friend, he couldn't punch him, but beom seok wanted him to. it would make him feel better if he was punished, but he wasn't. he has to live the rest of his life knowing he ruined others lives and not getting any real punishment from it. i do hate the fact that si eun had to move to a horrible school because of beom seok's stupid father though. i just hope si eun and soo ho get a good resolve in season two and we get more scenes of both of them smiling together.

this show also hurt so bad but was so amazing. one of the only shows where not only the main but also the  side characters have such genuine sad stories. also the acting and relationship growth between geu-ru and sang-gu...

another one of my fav shows ever, definitely because of ohmnanon bc it wouldnt be the same show without them. but the dialogue between the characters is so so good. the honesty and the actual healthiness of this relationship also just hurts. not to mention their disapproval and the way they actually could never openly be happy together. it just was so sad and the acting made it so much more painful. i will never forget the pain of waiting a week for episode 12 and genuinely believing they had broken up at the "good luck buddy" scene. just a rollercoaster of emotions. and all of the pain pran went through throughout the entirety of the show. i love nanon so much for the way he was able to portray him and his hurt. especially their first rooftop kiss. you can tell pat is so happy when they kissed because he thinks its the beginning of their relationship, but prans the opposite. he had been longing for pat for years and knew it would never be able to happen because of their parents. the kiss meant so much to him which is why he continued it, but really it was his way of saying goodbye and as a means to move on. wow i need to shut up now i just really love this show okay

GOD. this show. i love shows like this but there also is nothing to compare it to. i just love such real life scenes where theyre fighting and being jokingly mean to each other. no this isnt as sas as the others on this list but it was still such a painful journey to get to where they were which is why it ended up on this list

happiness was not that. not until the end at least. so many amazing characters that i loved so much died and then we start believing that jung yi-hyun dies and its just so devasting. park seo-yoons story is also so sad, but amazing at the end. this show means so much to me. its different and less realistic than the others on this list, but im still including it bc it did make me cry a lot. especially the scene where sae-bom says "im okay with everything" like just so incredible and just yeah
