  • Fated to Love You

    1. Fated to Love You

    Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes

    10

*To which drama character do you relate the most? There might be a few of them but the first that comes to my mind is Kim Mi Young from Fated to Love You. I'm also a very shy person and I tend to take to heart what others are saying to and about me. I'm just hoping one day, like her, I'll find myself a Lee Gun who will love me just the way I am :)

*Recommend a Drama and/or a Movie that has "Legend", "Fate", or "Destiny" in its title. It was my second recommendation for the Love keyword but it's still relevant here- Fated to Love You.
What a drama it was, pure emotional roller coaster. You laugh, you cry, you truly root for them. It was my first drama with the amazing actors Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra and I'm so happy I got to know them and continue on following them in their next projects.
I wish I had time to rewatch it, I really want to feel again all those feelings. Definitely deserves to be in my top 5 best dramas.

    3. Doctor Stranger

    Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes

*Which character would you like to get to know better? Park Hoon from Doctor Stranger.
We got only a glimpse about his old life in North Korea (only in the first 2 eps) and I was really intrigued and wanted to know much more. I think it would've been so interesting if they shown us more about his upbringing. It might have given a bigger contrast to his current life and explain a lot of things in the plot.

*Recommend a Drama and/or a Movie that has an ONE WORD title (not including "The").
Pinocchio. This is the drama that made me become a fan of Jong Suk oppa. Both him and Park Shin Hye unni gave their best performance. They had an amazing chemistry, which made her finally to show some of her acting abilities, rumors even said they were dating in real life. The story was so original and I was drown to it. Just thinking about this drama brings a smile to my face, they were so adorable.

*Favorite Kdrama OST. My all time favorite OST song is Trap from My Secret Hotel. I used to cry a lot while hearing this song during the drama, it always came at the toughest moments.
But, if we'll talk about the overall soundtrack, I would say it's Gu Family Book, since there are many amazing songs in this drama, and not only one that stands out. This is what happens when both of your leads are talented vocalists ;)

  • Healer

    11. Healer

    Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes

    9.5
  • Witch's Romance

    12. Witch's Romance

    Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes

    9.5

*Recommend a Drama and/or a Movie that has "Romance", "Passion", "Lust", or "Heart" in its title. Witch's Romance. That was the first time I saw Park Seo Joon and in my opinion it's his best performance up to date as lead (he did better work in Kill Me Heal Me, but he played second main there).
And not just Park Seo Joon, it was my first time also seeing Uhm Jung Hwa unni. She's so perfect- great actress, great singer, and looking like a goddess. From her appearances in variety shows, I also feel like she has great character, so I'm so sad for her not giving those amazing genes to the next generation.
Anyways I can say it's my favorite noona romance and the only time I didn't have problem with it

After starting A Business Proposal, I recalled that I had another drama with the tag *arranged marriage* which I didn't complete. The drama was okay but nothing like the 10/10 reviews it has. Really had the feeling of those weekly long episodes Korean makjangs- characters, story and ending wise.
Hongki's hair color was way too black IMO
FL was great in playing a double role, I'm quite curious how she didn't get any other leading roles in productions after this drama finished.
and it's not that I'm against actors who land ML roles straight after debut but it was refreshing to see Jung Hae In in such a minor role two seconds after seeing him having such an integral part in Snowdrop.

  • Triangle

    26. Triangle

    Korean Drama - 2014, 26 episodes

    8.0
  • Battle of Changsha

    27. Battle of Changsha

    Chinese Drama - 2014, 32 episodes

    8.0

Satisfactory ending? Hell no! Poor poor family! Because of all misfortunes that fell on them, at certain point I stopped even believing or caring that someone there will make it out alive and have his happily ever after. I was way too depressed and heartbroken.
Since the beginning, I felt a lot of similarities between the story and the suffering Jews have gone through. Whether it's the sirens the alert before bombing that we experience every few months, to the suffocating of kids by their mothers so they won't make noise like was very common during the holocaust. Japanese like the Nazis have made the life of people in Asia like Chinese & Korean impossible. So many losses it's tragic.
I can't give it a higher rating because not only it was way too gloomy but the moving forward of the story wasn't enough understandable. And I can't believe I came to watch it after seeing a recommendation of it in the passionate love story during war thread. It isn't if you're concerned- Yang Zi was barely 18 during filming and Wallace is much older.

  • Night Watchman's Journal

    28. Night Watchman's Journal

    Korean Drama - 2014, 24 episodes

    7.5

The story wasn't that bad but the FL couldn't be any worse in her acting skills which totally ruined everything for me. On the other hand, Kim Sung Oh oppa delivered his best performance up to date.

*A drama with a good story but was ruined because of bad acting. Definitely Night Watchman's Journal. I don't know if it was Go Sung Hee's first drama but boy she was terrible. This drama's story was so interesting and Kim Sung Oh was so good in it and it felt totally like his talent was wasted because of this girl.
She really took the level of the actors and lowered it toward her. Yunho was bad, Seo Ye Ji was bad, even Jung Il Woo wasn't as awesome as he usually is.
I've seen her later as supporting and it was quite bearable. Overall I think she got a bit better in recent years, but I don't know what went through the production's team head when they gave her the FL role in this drama.

  • Pride and Prejudice

    29. Pride and Prejudice

The cast did great and the story was interesting but there were so many tangles and "evil" characters that it was extremely hard to keep up.

I’ve been considering this whole year to get back to this drama I’ve dropped while it was still airing, way back in 2014. To tell you it was the right call? From my ranking you probably understand that the answer is no lol
Nevertheless it was interesting to see many actors whom started from the bottom in less significant roles and nowadays are getting mains(some aren’t even credited but I’m sick of updating the cast of dramas and being rejected so I’ll leave it as is).
It’s funny that Choi Won Young even though got better at acting, hasn’t stopped all this years playing the bad guy. Just give this guy a different kind of role lol Enough is enough.
