The upcoming second part of "Alchemy of Souls" will premiere this December.
On October 19th, tvN announced that the second part titled "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" will officially premiere on December 10. The series will replace the drama "Under The Queen's Umbrella" after it ends.
"Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" will still be directed by Park Joon Hwa and written by the Hong Sisters (Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran.)
The series will continue the stories of the people whose fate has been twisted because of a magic spell known as the "alchemy of souls."
"Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" will be led by Lee Jae Wook, Go Yoon Jung, NU'EST Hwang Min Hyun, Shin Seung Ho, Yoo Joon Sang, Oh Na Ra, Yoo In Soo, Oh My Girl's Arin, Do Sang Woo, Jo Jae Yoon, Park Eun Hye, Im Chul Soo, Hong Seo Hee, Lee Do Kyung, Lee Ha Yul, Seo Hye Won, and more.
The upcoming second part will have a total of 10 episodes. It will air from December until January next year.
"Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" will exclusively premiere on tvN. The series will be part of the Saturday and Sunday drama timeslot.
For the second part, Jung So Min will no longer be part of the cast. Instead, Go Yoon Jung will play the role of Naksu.
The first part of "Alchemy of Souls" had decent ratings for its entire run. The drama premiered on Jung 18 until August 18 and it achieved its highest average nationwide viewership rating of 9.3 percent. The first part also premiered on the global OTT platform, Netflix.
The are no official details yet if the second part will also be available globally through Netflix.
