Park Hae Joon decided to withdraw from the upcoming Korean remake of "Money Heist".

Park Hae Joon was supposed to be the main lead of the upcoming drama "Money Heist" but has instead decided to leave the production. Due to COVID-19 causing delays to the production of the much anticipated drama, there was a conflict in his schedule leaving him no choice but to withdraw. 

Instead, actor Park Hae Soo will be replacing him. He will play the role of Berlin for the Korean remake. 

Other confirmed casts include Yoo Ji Tae who will play as Professor, Kim Yoon Jin as Lisbon and Jeon Jong Seo will play as Tokyo.

"Money Heist" is a Spanish crime drama that narrates the story of group of people led by Professor who plan the biggest heist in history. For the remake, they will have a similar plot but it will be set in the Korean peninsula.

The Korean remake of "Money Heist" will be directed by Kim Hong Seon who also helmed dramas such as "The Guest", "Voice", and "Black". The script will be written by Ryu Yong Jae and his team (they wrote the script for "Psychopath Diary"). BH Entertainment and Content ZIUM will be co-producers of the upcoming series.

Park Hae Soo will have his grand comeback to dramas with "Money Heist". The actor last starred in the hit 2017 tvN drama "Prison Playbook" with Lee Kyu Hyung, Jung Kyung Ho, Krystal and more. He also starred in the 2020 movie "Time To Hunt" with Lee Je Hoon, Ahn Jae Hong, Choi Woo Shik and Park Jung Min
