Netflix has confirmed the release of Sweet Home Season 2 for December 1 and has unveiled fresh teasers.

Sweet Home Season 2 expands into a world outside Green Home, and Hyun Soo and the survivors of Green Home each fight their battles to survive in a new territory.

In this new season, the K-drama delves into a world where desire morphs into monstrosity as our protagonist, Hyun Soo, and the survivors of Green Home struggle to survive.

The poster shows the destroyed baseball stadium outside Green Home, the backdrop for Season 1. The residents, who had to fight against monsters in Season 1, can no longer hold out in Green Home and venture into the world outside. Survivors gathered from all around form a community in the stadium ruins, but there is no guarantee of safety even there. As they continue to battle monstrous beings and wrestle with their desires, the curiosity surrounding the expanded and evolved storyline continues to mount.

The teaser commences by showing Cha Hyun Soo (Song Kang) trapped in a steel cage and being brought somewhere. Lights fall upon him, and he asks the other person, who has been waiting for him, what he should do.

The ongoing crisis of monstrous transformations and the disarray among the survivors, juxtaposed with the frenzied monsters, all suggest a world that has grown even more complex and ominous. The spotlight is on what key Cha Hyun Soo, also known as "MH-5" or "the savior who will end all of this," holds.

To create a unique story for Sweet Home Season 2, distinct from the original webtoon, director Lee Eung Bok consulted with writer Kim Carnby and delved deeply into the hidden intricacies of the original. Director Lee Eung Bok explained, "It's a full-fledged apocalypse story. If Season 1 dealt with the fear of claustrophobia horror within the confines of Green Home, Season 2 takes place in the open space, and a lot of new characters and monsters appear."

Sweet Home Season 2 will be released exclusively on Netflix on December 1.
