The Potato Lab follows Kim Mi Kyeong, a passionate researcher obsessed with potatoes and So Baek Ho, a charismatic but ruthless capitalist driven by making profits. So Baek Ho arrives at the potato research center in a mountain valley, where he clashes with Kim Mi Kyeong.
Lee Sun Bin takes on the role of Kim Mi Kyung, a potato researcher who loves potatoes.
Kang Tae Oh plays So Baek Ho, the Director of Organizational Innovation at Wonhan Retail, who is armed with composure and calm demeanor.
Baek Ho is cold-hearted a man of principles. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Kim Mi Kyung at the Potato Research Institute, where his rigid principles don't seem to apply.
