Go Youn Jung-Led "Hospital Playlist" Spinoff "Resident Playbook" Drops Teasers

A teaser and poster for the Hospital Playlist spinoff, Resident Playbook, starring Go Youn Jung, Shin Shi Ah, Kang Yoo Seok, Jung Joon Won, and Han Ye Ji, have been unveiled. 

The upcoming drama, set to premiere in the first half of this year on tvN (South Korea) and Netflix (worldwide), Resident Playbook, is about residents dreaming of becoming good doctors.  

Leading actress Go Youn Jung (Death's Game, Moving, Alchemy of Souls, Law School) and rising stars Shin Shi Ah (The Witch: Part 2. The Other One), Kang Yoo Seok (Black Knight, Payback: Money and Power), Han Ye Ji, and Jung Joon Won will play the roles of the residents of Yulje Hospital's Obstetrics and Gynecology department.

In the teaser, glimpses of the lives of obstetricians and gynecologists dreaming of a fulfilling medical life have been portrayed. Their faces betray emotions such as determination, excitement, and worry as they wear surgical gowns and ID badges around their necks. The growth of the residents as they mature into capable doctors through a series of trials and errors promises an exciting show for medical drama fans.

In the poster, the logo of YJ, Yulje Hospital where the five residents work, is shown. If the doctors in Hospital Playlist worked at Yulje Medical Centre (main branch), the doctors in Resident Playbook will be working at Yulje Hospital's Jongno district branch. 

The ordinary days of various characters, including doctors, nurses, and patients, and the joys and sorrows of life melted within their stories, are expected to evoke empathy in viewers.

Resident Playbook is set to premiere in the first half of 2024. The K-drama will be made available on Netflix. Watch the teaser here.
