"Crash Landing on You" Kim Jung Hyun Returns to the Small Screen with a New Black Comedy K-Drama

Crash Landing on You actor Kim Jung Hyun is returning to the small screen with the upcoming KBS 2TV special weekend drama Iron Family, scheduled to premiere in September. Directed by Sung Joon Hae and written by Seo Sook Hyang, the K-drama is a black comedy that tells the story of Lee Da Rim (Geum Sae Rok), a daughter of a wealthy family who have been running the Cheongryeom Laundry for 3 generations, and Seo Kang Joo (Kim Jung Hyun), the son of the richest family in the Cheongryeom neighborhood. The K-drama also stars Choi Tae Joon, Yang Hye Ji, and Lee Sung Yeol, among others. 

Kim Jung Hyun transforms into Seo Kang Joo, the son of Cheongryeom neighborhood's richest family who works as Jiseung Group's senior director. One day before his military enlistment, he had an unforgettable experience with Da Rim, who was attending the same university. He reunites with her after 8 years, and makes a slip of the tongue while bluffing.

The production team of Iron Family expressed confidence in Kim Jung Hyun, stating, "Actor Kim Jung Hyun is an actor with solid acting skills, and we were confident that he was the perfect fit for the character of Seo Kang Joo, who is shabby yet comical in this drama. Thanks to his passion, as he doesn't shy away from pushing his boundaries, we believe the drama will be richer and more fulfilling."

Iron Family is set to premiere in September.
