"Beyond Evil" Director Shim Na Yeon Seals the Deal to Direct "The Price of Confession"

It was reported on February 24 that Shim Na Yeon will step up as the director of the drama The Price of Confession.

The director's most famous works include Beyond Evil, Moment at Eighteen, and Han Yeo Reum's Memory. She will also be helming the upcoming comedy K-drama The Good Bad Mother starring Lee Do Hyun, Ra Mi Ran, and Ahn Eun Jin. 

Previously director Lee Eung Bok - famous for his work in K-dramas like Dream High, School 2013, Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine, and Sweet Home, among others - was in talks to direct the drama. 

But the job ultimately passed on to Shim Na Yeon. 

According to sources, two of the most talented and beautiful South Korean actresses Song Hye Kyo - currently playing the female lead in The Glory - and Han So Hee - who will be seen in the upcoming original Netflix series Gyeongseong Creature alongside Park Seo Joon - are cast in the drama. 

The Price of Confession is about the bloody chronicle of two women surrounding a murder case.

The casting of the upcoming mystery thriller itself raises expectations for the drama. In the drama, Song Hye Kyo is reported to play the role of art teacher Ahn Yun Soo. 

Ahn Yun Soo is an ordinary woman whose uneventful life takes a turn when she gets caught up in an unexpected incident. 

Han So Hee is expected to play the role of Mo Eun, a mysterious woman with an unknown identity who is feared by everyone because of her antisocial tendencies. But she will reach out to Yun Soo and transform her life.

More news is yet to come regarding the release date of the K-drama.
