Blue Canvas of Youthful Days (2024)

-People that liked Free the curse of Taekwando will definitely fall in love with Blue Canvas of youthful days.
- Both shows have got similer atmosphere
-Both are BL except one is Chinese and the other is Korean
- In both shows, both MLs have got abusive Fathers that beat them up
-In both shows both MLs leave with their fathers and without mothers.
- Both shows have rural settings
- Both have very high quality production and good graphics.
-Both shows are emotional and will definitely make u cry.

Both are BLs where one dude has an abusive dad.

- it is BL drama that have a lot struggle on their life ( main lead )
- heart warming with a lil bit angst in it
- this series talking about how love it became in particular ways and some of it
- one of main lead have terrible hearing problem so they properly have sign language in it ( Hidamari ga kikoeru more learning and still can hear but got worse and work with that but Blue youth is not, it's total )
- one of main lead is not wealthy so they working in that situation
- have more essential about romance or love life in the real world, especially when they in love & how they can facing that struggle or problem or even contradiction from inner himself and others person

There's a bit of a school-type background in both series. The MCs have very good chemistry together, and one of them is crushing hard on the other (in each drama). BVYD isn't over yet, so no comparison in endings, but I hope it has a similar kind of ending to LFLS.

Both have amazing acting from a pretty young cast - sadly both are short dramas. Here's hoping more will come.

They're both dramas involving drawing (and generally, art), though the stories go much beyond that. UtS is very much set into strong bromance (though one can always imagine more), BCYD seems more honest about it.

But if you're interested in a ML who CAN draw (impossible drawings, in UtS), these dramas both have something to offer (and some BL to the side, even if censored or pretend non-extistent in one of them).

They are the only two real Chinese BL of this year, both feature real MM kisses, and are produced around the same time
