Family Matters is a thrilling drama that truly captivates with its unique premise. The story revolves around a group of individuals with supernatural powers who escape from a special training institution, cleverly disguising themselves as a family to evade both the institution's pursuers and the dangerous criminals they encounter along the way. The storytelling is dark yet exciting, ensuring that viewers are engaged from start to finish.One of the standout features of the show is its narrative structure, which alternates between present events and flashbacks that delve into the characters' backstories. This approach adds significant depth to the plot. While the series does include violent scenes that may be triggering for some, these moments enhance the intensity of the story and keep the stakes high. The characters themselves are fascinating; each member of this unconventional family is delightfully unhinged, making them a joy to watch. The mother exudes a calm yet dangerous presence, while the father provides much-needed support and stability. The grandfather adds comic relief, wrapped in mystery, and the children bring an exciting dynamic: the boy is cheerful and bubbly with an unexpected violent streak, while the girl is a badass who takes pleasure in punishing those who deserve it.
I absolutely love the dark comedy woven throughout the series. The way they insert comic moments into serious and deep scenes often catches you off guard, making you laugh when you least expect it. My only wish is that the series could have been longer; there’s so much potential for further exploration of these already interesting characters and their development. I would love to see how they continue to punish the bad guys through their unhinged methods. This blend of dark themes with genuine familial bonds makes the show a compelling watch, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling yet emotional experience.

Do not miss this show, it's sooooo good!!!I love the dark humor and the story is just really refreshing.
The whole casts acting is amazing and each character is written beautifully. To be honest, I have never come across such a unique cast of characters in 1 show before in a kdrama. The way each character reacts catches me offguard. That's the best part.
I think what I found really refreshing is the dynamic of the twins.
The boy looks soft but is a complete psycho genius. Like Lomon really nailed the psycho pookie look. His smile when he enjoys watching torture is really cute. 🤣❤️
The girl looks rough but is a big softie inside. The thing is, she's actually the most normal one in the family and it is the scariest part. I love her!!!
Honestly, I did not expect it but the girl twin played by Lee Su Hyun... I think I have the biggest crush on her. She is so so cool and absolutely GORGEOUS.
I wish we can have Lee Su Hyun as a female lead in more dramas. Her features are so distinct and refreshing. I actually started watching this drama because of her reels on IG. Her visuals just got me very curious.
The parents and grandfather also are so crazy and loveable. I love this family dynamic.
This drama is one where I just feel like I NEED MOREEEE, the episodes are long and because the drama is so interesting, I feel just goes by fast. I am looking forward to future episodes and hopefully season 2. This is the BEST dark kdrama drama in 2024.

If you are in doubt to give this drama a chance DONTT!!! You will love it
3/6 episodes are out and mahn the series has all my attention...If you liked drams like Atypical family, moving etc you will like this one gor sure.The gifted people storyline is not new but the execution is definitely interesting the way they do not give us any idea of the gifts of the characters is new, usually kdramas introduce the gifts of characters early on in every shows.This drama is definitely underrated I don't get why it is not getting the attention it truly deserves.Do give it a chance you will not regret it:):)

Fresh, Quirky
I tried this entirely because of the teaser prominently featuring Bae Doo Na. The first five episodes have been great.The show is 'quirky' meaning you're going to love it, or hate it depending on your susceptibility to this particular brand of quirk.
Only six episodes are promised, so the hope is there will be more.
Bae Doo Na effortlessly does meek and menacing and comedic.
Lee Su Hyun is great in her first outing.
