My Drama of the Year

There are a lot of great dramas this year, but this one stands out to me. I love the writing, and it was not easy to pull it off considering the story and the premise of demons and humans. I love how you can the writer kept you engaged and kudos to the director and the whole team, there are no dull moments. Kudos to both the FL and ML. Both shines. FL acting is great. She was able to deliver a wide range of emotions. ML is so cool too, rooting for this actor since 100 days my prince. Looking forward to his next project Kudos to the director and the whole team who was able to keep things slow, yet still interesting. I like the mix of action, mystery, and comedy. The director did great in wrapping up the stories of all characters - when all, I meant all. It was just sad that two of the main characters died, but it's needed in the story. So yes, this is my drama of the year - considering the story, the acting, directing and most of all the rewatch value.

Unskippable Kdrama of The Year!

Kang Bitna had me enthralled into her demon eyes, and sassy personality. The Judge from Hell is one of the kdramas that I couldn't skip nor drop. It's extremely rare for me to truly love a kdrama in recent years because the acting is just not for me, or the storyline seems to fall short, or it just drags on and on. The Judge from Hell is an exception.

I love the special effects in this drama, as well as the character growth of Kang Bitna. Honestly, she carried the entire show for me. Han Daon was just a cherry on top.

Park Shinhye's acting has captivated the audience, me included and I'm glad she has improved in the past 25 years that I've been watching her.

I would highly recommend if you're new to kdramas.

A decent drama about revenge and internal conflicts

Firstly, I'm happy that Park Shin Hye gave such an incredible performance and was different from the characters she played previously. She is more mature and this role will certainly open the way for more complex performances in the future. I really liked her.

The plot itself is interesting, not very similar to the reality of a court of law, however, the way the writers framed a judge's position as defining a defendant's life was fair. The drama reminds the viewer that a judge can only act within the limits of the law, and that was very interesting. Other than that, seeing a demon have moral conflicts, having empathy for victims and human nature was different. This plot was well thought out and well placed by the writers. I don't remember seeing a plot similar to this, focusing on the judge.

It's worth watching if you like dramas that involve the legal world but aren't so realistic (because reality is actually quite unfair and boring, lol). I don't like dramas with a fantastic context, but this one balanced the fantasy narrative well with reality. Still, if you like dramas that involve revenge, this is one of the most satisfying, after all, the judge is not just a judge.

The acting of the actors was decent. The soundtrack is fair. The cliffhanger ending is also fair. As this is an extraordinary narrative, with characters beyond the norm, there would be no way to end it any other way. I confess that I found it strange that the judge had a relationship with ML, but, as her role was satisfactory in itself, I didn't mind too much about the attempt at romance at the end, lol.

Anyways, it's a fair drama, with great revenge scenes, and a very decent ending.

for me best drama of 2024

a few months ago before judge from hell starts we were talking with my sister about Park Shin Ye. She always portrayed similar charachters.. but, I and my sister are really impressed about Park Shin Ye in this drama.. her skills, the charachter she created and portrayed is totally different than what she did till now. when I was watching the drama Ireally enjoyed watching Park Shin Ye performance. she did an art! she did something above the sky. hope there will be 2nd season.

beside Park Shin Ye, the story that a devil making the criminals feeling the same pain as their victims are so so so good. Recently in all around the worl, justice/judges lost its real meaning. real crüminals dont get their deserved punishment in most of the countries. so I liked the idea of making criminals feel the same pain as the victims… from a to z I loved this drama. and it deserves many awards…

Roller Coaster, but It is A Hell of A Ride

Idea is totally fresh and execution is great. They put everything in place excellently, and this is the outcome. The storyline is almost perfect. The conflicts are over the places in the beginning, but it's needed and they resolve it quite well. Still I wonder how is Bit-Na's debt going lol. Character development for romance is a bit slow, but who cares? This is not mainly a romance and, who the hell will easily trust a Demon?!?

The thing that I want to highlight the most in this drama is the characters itself. Usually when it comes to have a demon as the main character, K-Dramas tend to mix it up with some dumb and irrational brain. However they made all of the demons (except Man-Do) to be as how demons should be. As a demon, Kang Bit-Na is really smart, ruthless, powerful and unstoppable. This depicts correctly about how she have truly lived for more than 500 years in the hell. Park Shin-Hye is definitely the star of this show, she brings the energy into it. The character of Man-Do is hilarious and sparks joy around the shows.

Unlike most K-Dramas, this series ends quite strong. Although it is quite a plothole (you get 3 years, but you choose to spend 2 years in an "exile" rather with someone you love???), but it is still a quite well, and not disappointing ending. In fact, they actually keep the story quality pretty consistent throughout the season. They have also prepared for next season, but I feel that they have to be careful as there isn't much more to explore.

I wanted to serial killer "j" just get the real punishment and die hand of khan bit na I just wait the next episode and the ending was adorable....
Everyone wants to become human but human doesn't understand what the meeting of humans life
The life is one and we have to do something for the journey... To make beautiful our life ..

The guest roles for the various villains deserve special mention as well; the actors and actresses playing these despicable characters are so convincing that it makes their punishments feel even more deserved and exciting.

The judge from hell

One of the best drama of 2024, it really has everything - fantasy, comedy, romance (OMG that one kiss in last episode), action, criminals. There is a lot of violence but it is not as brutal as for example in Death's game. Great acting, plot and music. I really love everything.
Park Shin Hye proved that she is amazing actress - she was great in Doctor Slump ( I also loved that drama, also 10/10)
Kim Jae Young was also great. And their chemistry was just perfect.
I love the ending, it was everything I wanted - I quite guessed how it would end but I am really happy with that.
Suprising is that I actually liked Jung Sun Ho' character (J killer's brother) - for me he was morally gray character and I like this type of character.
It is really worth watching!

2024 new favorite!

I can’t believe it’s already over. I loved every second! Park Shin Hye truly shined—she completely owned this role. I don’t care what others say; I love her so much. And Kim Jae Young portrays his character so well. He's so talented and cute; I can't believe he's older than Shin Hye.

While I’m a fan of romance and the chemistry between the leads was undeniable, I appreciated that romance wasn’t the main focus here. It’s more of a subgenre, adding depth without overpowering the story. Also, the rooftop kiss was so good I had to rewatch it a few times, lol. (〃ω〃)

I also love how they left the ending up to the viewers. For some, it’s an open ending; for others, a closed one. Personally, I think it was fitting, even though part of me would love a sequel. The final scenes, showing all the characters (victims) happy, were incredibly heartwarming. For me, the only downside was the unresolved question about Kang Bitna. Was she really sent to hell? She was wrongfully accused, so what happened? This plot hole is my only complaint, but overall, this drama is easily one of the best of 2024. (´∩ω∩｀)
