La vengeance est un plat qui se mange froid…

Ce drama m’a intrigué lorsque j’ai vu que Zee était au casting… Et bien sûr le petit speech d’un « huit clos » sur une île déserte a achevé le travail XD !

Me voici donc lancée…

Forever REMEMBER [ED]

Revenge in a court without justice, is it possible?
Suspense-horror series with an intriguing twist and message.

Viewer description is STRONGLY advised because "Remember 15" is indeed VERY GORY AND INTENSE, it´s no exaggeration. You have been warned.

SHORT VERSION:
A story about a group of people who traveled to an island on the 5th death anniversary of a girl they all knew. All of them carry their own dark past with heavy secrets, which were very well portrayed and underscored by the production. Only the story lacked a bit of coherence.

I REMEMBER 15 reasons why you should watch this series

1. The protagonists are ordinary people and that´s why it is so capturing.
2. Every person has their individual flaws and personality traits.
2. The concept of this series is not far from what could happen in that kind of situation.
4. The concept is interesting.
5. The problems of these young adults are various.
6. You never know what will happen. It´s random.
7. It is not ONLY random and unfounded slaughter.
8. The crew did the best they could with their budget.
9. The art department is fascinating.
10. It has characters that represent LGBTQI+.
11. It has characters that are facing disadvantages in life (sickness, disability)
12. The opening of this series is vibey.
13. The opening soundtrack is addicting.
14. They had a lot of fun while filming on set. (As shown in the interviews)
15. Amazing actors, Amazing crew.

DETAILED VERSION:
STAFF APPRECIATION / Production
In the beginning, I really would like to point out the staff´s work in this series. The Art Director [Kissada Namuang] / Art Department [Sumat Namuang, Suphachai Aemsoem, ...] & the Prop Master [Kittuchot Lumloet] really did an insane performance as well as the actors. It´s even more mind-blowing when you keep in mind that it´s the first main role/ big role for some (3) of them, at least on MDL.

The music is well combined with the mood of the series and all individual parts work well together. The opening, an example of the superb combination of cinematography, lights, shadows, colors, and music, is very addicting for me to watch. I could write about this for days.

PLOT 6.0 >> 5.5
12 young adults return to the deserted island, the place where Lyla died five years ago to pay tribute to Lyla and find out who sent a message over the phone to the deceased girl. However, the closer it gets to the truth the more they discover their cruel past. The suspense remains until the last episode, with a few cliché twists.

In terms of content, it approaches a well-known American show that drew a lot of criticism in 2017: 13 Reasons Why. However, while the situations and topics are somewhat alike the approach of each plot is totally different. 13RW focuses on drawing society's attention to urgent problems and crises of young people and improving classmates in their actions. However, while „Remember 15“also spreads awareness for mental health, LGBTQI+, and toxic personalities/ relationships, the approach and outcome are surely more brutal and more dystopian than in other series with the same trope/topic. What kind of rules and morals do you expect from traumatized teenagers facing death on an island far from a normal and structured civilization?

The more important question to ask is what can we learn from this show?

ACTORS 7.5
As for Zee Pruk Panich, Jimmy Karn Kritsanaphan, and Title Tanatorn Saenangkanikorn, they convince the audience of their role. Here I personally highlight Zee (Bew), he had to portray such a difficult character. My rating can also be very much based on the fact that I have „dealt“with his acting skills the most so far and therefore have "high expectations" which he bravely met in „Remember 15“. Especially when considering what kind of role he had to portray.

However, all characters are complicated and multilayered. In general, I would say that the overall acting is solid. At least nobody was a thorn in my side. Personally. On the contrary, even the rather new and inexperienced actors played their roles well [Noon Khingkarn Boonma = Nest, Boss Daranpope Charmpoonod = Mac, Sairung Prapakon Chairak = Lilly]. Hardly anything to complain about. Especially Sairung had a tough role to play. My utmost respect to Sairung, Nut, and Pruk for accepting and embodying these very complicated characters. It mustn´t have been easy.

OVERALL >> 8.0 >> 7.0
The series convinced me in many aspects and buried some of my doubts in the implementation like a corpse in the sand. The scenario is terrifying and not exactly encouraging to make new acquaintances. HOWEVER, that's the way it is with a lot of thriller/horror series, but that doesn't make them any less remarkable. The show's triggers and topics are something the viewer could "learn" from, as quoted in the last episode. One should not take revenge into their own hands, as it is for the law/god/nature to decide what will happen to the offenders/sinners, otherwise, chaos and massacre ought to happen.

In any case, a recommendation to you sweethearts, but I'll stay on the mainland for now. I´ve learned and changed some views on things I had a very set opinion on before watching. I´m glad I have watched this.

High expectations are the key to disappointment

This is going to be a rant/review with the length of an essay, so friendly reminder that this is my personal opinion. I intended to make this spoiler-free, but I just had to mention a few scenes that made me roll my eyes in the plot/characters and directing part of my review.

Remember 15 was one of my most anticipated series of the year and it did disappoint me in almost all aspects possible. Before ranting, I want to mention the two things that I liked about it.

Promotion: I want to applaud the team that was responsible for the promotion of this series. The posters, especially the first one, were some of the best I have ever seen. The official teaser prepared the viewer for a suspenseful, gory series that would also focus on the characters and their stories and it was very well edited.

Acting: The portrayal of the characters from their respective actors was probably the best thing this series had to offer. They all did a decent job, taking into consideration the fact that the characters were not that well-written.

Now to the rant:

Directing: I usually don't pay that much attention to the directing, since in most series it is neither praise-worthy nor rant-worthy. However, in this case things are different. If someone told me, they changed the director after the first two-three episodes I would probably believe them. Even though it felt like it got improved in some way (not that it was good, but not as bad) the way they shot the first few episodes was amateurish at best. There were some shaky camera movements, even in scenes that there was no reason for the camera to be shaky (basically scenes where they were just standing and not running). Some unneeded (and shaky) close-ups, that not only did not create the atmosphere they aimed for, but also made the scene look even more ridiculous. Some outrageous shots that were filmed badly - worse than when I was filming a commercial for school-. There is this one scene where two characters are face to face and it is supposed to be intense, but the camera angle allows the viewer to see half of the face of one of the characters and not even that well, because her hair was getting in the way. And let’s not forget the scene when Fone lost her eye from the branch of a tree. That branch went so deep that it should have destroyed her eye completely, yet someone thought ‘’let’s make the screen red, to show that Fone is seeing red from the blood that she lost'', when she is not supposed to see anything, because her eye is gone!

Make-up: After watching the teaser of the series, I expected a decent amount of gory scenes and there were some, but the way they did the make-up was pretty bad in many of the cases. As a result it felt fake and it ruined the gore aspect that was supposed to be one of the main themes of Remember 15. Frankly, there are many times that I, and probably many other viewers, have seen some pretty bad CGI or some pretty bad make-up scenes (with a very recent example being Under the Skin). However, unlike those dramas, Remember 15 should have some realistic gory scenes to make the plot and the atmosphere work.

Plot/Characters: I wouldn’t mind that much if the plot was perfect and all the other aspects were lacking, but even the script was not well-written. The series has basically two timelines, one happening in the past and one taking place in the island. As a viewer, I anticipated some suspenseful scenes in the events happening in the island, but unexpectedly, the past of the characters was much more interesting to watch. Generally, the majority of the plot and the actions of the characters made no sense. I know I should throw my brain out of the window, when I have to, so I can enjoy a series, but this one was so outrageously stupid at some points that it was hilarious and a bit insulting to watch. The characters' reactions made no sense. Everything worked as a plot tool to make the story develop -if I can call that development-.
Everyone is so emotionless and their reactions (or to be more precise the lack of them) make no sense. People are dying and everyone is so calm! In one of the scenes Bozo (or another male character, I don’t remember) finds Bew with blood on his hands and with a dead body near him (that probably has no head left, because Bew smashed it with a rock) and he looks calmer than when I am having a walk in the park. People get severely injured, but they survive and can function properly, when the script says so, but others with less serious injuries can’t even walk straight. The characters' reactions are very fake and the way they act changes so drastically, in a way that it feels like they change their whole personalities. Therefore no matter what they do, you don't really feel anything about them. Some of them are okay, but the majority is just bland, the kind of 'I don't care even if they die' kind of bland.

The pace: Unfortunately the pacing of the series was another huge problem. I could call the first half of the series a guilty pleasure, but after some point it became very draggy. The thing is, that when you are making a slow paced series, you must know how to handle everything to make the viewer interested in what is taking place on the small screen. In this one, they apparently didn’t know how to do that. There are many scenes that last minutes, even though they don’t add anything to the atmosphere or to the plot and the sole purpose of their existence is to make the episode last longer.
Remember 15 could easily be a movie or a short five-episode series. I felt like they wanted to make this deep, emotional and at the same time engaging and suspenseful, but it ended up being extremely boring. As a result I watched the second part of the series in double speed and I felt like I was watching it in its regular pace.

This is trying to be a character-driven horror series with some social commentaries here and there, but it is failing miserably in all aspects. After having watched the WeTV Thai original series After Dark, I expected a similar atmosphere as that one. If you have watched that series, you will know what a disturbing atmosphere really means. It managed to balance good acting, chilling atmosphere and also make some social commentary, while this one just wanted to do so and never achieved it. Is this horror? No and I don’t know If they really aimed for it.

All in all, Remember 15 had an interesting concept, but the execution lacked in almost all aspects and for me, it does not deserve your time, especially if you are looking for a horror series. Try After Dark or some other Thai series with a similar theme, like The stranded.

Remember 15 delivers gore and not much else

The thing about Remember 15 is that everyone sucks, so you’re not really rotting for any characters. I personally think that 12 episodes was too much. This could have worked better as a streamlined 8 episode series.

Everybody is guilty of something. Yet, I feel like the show wants the viewer to want Nest to “win” and survive, which I think is insane. Everything that happened is because of Nest. Yes, Mind recorded the video, but everyone suffered and died because of Nest sharing that clip.

I think the ending is a bit too open ended for this type of show. Was it all a dream? If so, from what part of the past? Did the clip get leaked or this is a timeline where Lilly was just jealous of Lyla and nothing terrible happened?
OR did everyone die, including Nest in the boat, and Lilly is just imaging how things could have been different?

The cast is overall OK but most of the characters a very one note, so there’s not much they can do.

Rollercoast Ride Of Emotions

Good watch and I would recommend it if you like psychological thrillers. The story unfolded in a way that you may feel one way to only feel another once more parts of the story is unraveled. The story becomes increasingly harder to watch emotionally as it gradually reaches its climax at the top of the rollercoaster and descends into a free fall.

This series reminds me a lot of “Promising Young Woman” with one defining difference. In Promising, you mostly see the bad side of those involved and so when their reckoning comes, there is no question in your mind as to whether they deserved it or not. Whereas in Remember, the involvement of most of the people on the island are indirect, and you are shown their good side as well as their bad. When their judgement day comes, you question whether the victim may be going too far. And for me, this is what I liked the most about Remember. Is that most of the characters aren’t black and white.

Despite my praises, I am rating this a 7. I felt that there were potentially meaningful messages the creators could have gone with, but for some reason, they went with the “holier than thou” message in the end which is kinda surprising given the many social issues brought up in the series. Dysfunctional family, bullying, rape, mental illness, etc. Messages they could have gone with is not turning a blind eye against victims, schools and teachers recognizing signs of home abuse, school corruption, how some people shouldn’t have children, etc. But the message they ultimately chose honestly felt like a slap in the face to all those involved and viewers like me who sympathize with them. There are a couple of more reasons why I dinged this to a 7, but this is already an essay lol.

Anyway, watch it. Enjoy the mystery, the heartache and perhaps even learning and growing as a person as you evaluate where you stand on the issues brought up in the series.

Spoiler alert

A damn good and addictive horror watch. Totally bingeable!

But that last episode just really pissed me off. Not just the last episode but in general there were some parts of the drama that were way too preachy.

I mean if you want to write an ENTIRE GODDAMN EPISODE showing Zee raping a girl, go ahead, it's your artistic right to show the darkness of something that heinous.

But then don't put a 'rape is wrong by the way you guys' and you keep hammering it then your writing just loses its integrity. If you don't make the underlying message subtle you'll ruin any power your script has.

First for the rape preachiness and then they did the same to the revenge plot! The last episode was basically just Lilly realizing revenge is wrong lol omg no way???! Really???? Rape is wrong????? And revenge is also wrong???? OMG I had no idea!! Ffs that's what it felt like when people get so goddamn condescending and preachy with their scripts.

So, as I've mentioned before the writing was a little weak at times. With all that gore, all the fantastic casting, and production values that felt like such a waste.

That said, I just like how to the end Zee didn't apologize to Lilly and Sonar - (side rant btw: showing Zee rape Lilly would have been enough! But they had to make him to the same to freaking Sonar! The very same night!!! Which MADE ZERO SENSE because did Sonar lack empathy this much that she could only understand Lilly if Bew raped her too?? - end of side rant) - his character was actually pretty consistent which I liked. He was toxic but in his own messed up way he did care about Lyla. But most of all his epic kind of love for someone like Nest was honestly heartbreaking. It was like he closed his heart to love when Nest refused him and then that clip was released which made his life hell just as much and provoked his asshole father to yet another cruel beating - but even when he finally found out it was Nest who did it, he didn't resent her for one second. And still wouldn't stop loving her and actually apologized to HER!

And now for the parts of the story that totally worked for me:

- Tommy and Jimmy playing Ken and Plato. They were literally my favorite! That kiss in the basketball court was just so so so wholesome! And poor Plato ! He deserved better! I just loved them together and just generally their arc was so well written! Except for the inconsistent way Ken behaves in the finale - like he was going nuts over Plato dying one second and then he was all caring for Gel????? They even died in each other's arms ffs WTAF !

- Zee(New) literally BASHING DAN'S SKULL IN. Seriously that scene messed me up. The way he reacts to it, like he's in a trance - it's obvious he loved Dan but the way that island basically turns everyone savage and makes them do this, his decent into hell was just so satisfying to watch lol as a horror/gore enthusiast. I mean he kept saying to Dan he didn't kill Mac, but in the end I think the turning from the person who he thought was his best friend, was the proverbial last nail in the coffin.

Another important thing about this drama is that literally NO ONE IS INNOCENT or redeemable even . Except for maybe Plato. Yes, actually he was the MOST INNOCENT out of them and even he cheated on the girl he was with Fone, and went along with it when Ken was cheating on Gel with him.

And Ken, who was basically acting like a good guy, basically never once tried to stand up for his true love aka Plato and in fact forced Plato to not listen to his conscience just because he was afraid Bew (Zee) would out them. Then kept up the facade of a hetero relationship only to end up cheating on her again.

Mild who, btw again the least worst lol still shot a video of Lyla and Zee because she resented the way Lyla's parents influence won against her own hard work.

Gel was just such a bad person in general, cyber bullying Lyla and bullying her in other ways with Fone. But honestly I still feel bad for Fone and felt not a thing for Gel because at least poor Fone was loyal to Gel. And the way Gel rejected her love and abandoned her but in the end acts like it's bothering her just wasn't convincing and felt like a ploy to survive when Ken goes berserk and tries to kill her.

Mac was again, the kind of protagonist you feel bad for but even Mac was kinda exploiting Nest knowing she loves him and so he was still pretty much carrying a torch for Layla and being used by her he himself feels a little immature and careless with emotions.

Bozo is honestly a forgettable character for the most part and I think that was intentional. He's the kind of person who became Zee's henchman the second he saw that would benefit him (and Mild). But I feel like what he feels for Mild is more familiarity than love which is apparent by the line Mild says "don't try to make me fall in love with you" and honestly he not only chickened out when trying to help Lilly and Sonar against Bew but throughout the story he was basically just following on other people's whims without any actual drive or responsibility.

Lyla is probably the worst and most manipulative victim mentality antagonist. Not only did she feel nothing for her sister, she was dishonest about her feelings to both Mac and Bew. She never tried to stand up to her parents for her sister. When she found out Lily got raped her only sentiment was gleeful satisfaction. She was the one who's told Bew not to apologize to Lilly and kept saying that Lily and Sonar deserved it! WTH! Probably the reason I felt instant gratification when Lilly pushed her into the water lol

Lilly and Sonar of course, I mean they were actually convincing and entertaining as the bad guys. But in the end, showing Nest surviving - I honestly don't know what the hell that was supposed to signify! I was just clueless when it happened. It's not because I was judging Nest in anyway, she had severe mental health issues especially Munchausen's syndrome and her bitch mother basically swept the incident under the rug and made her keep living as an invalid. So I get where she's coming from. She has no academic excellence, like Lyla, no talents - all she has is a disability that makes her 'special' even though if she'd only given Bew a chance instead of sticking in some ridiculous unhappy relationship with Mac, she would have found out that Mac wasn't the only one who didn't resent her for faking but Bew was like that too.

But despite the majority of the characters being irredeemable, somehow there was a time in their arcs where you did not only feel empathy for them but even sad.

Regardless it's a good horror show with lots of awesome gore and a entertaining storyline with some good direction and eye candy!

Zee's acting hooked me up. Its his only role as a negative character and I loved him (Zee. not Bew)

Zee's acting as Bew was the most eye-catching. I understand Lily and Sonar's demand for justice but I would still stick to my opinion that most of them did not deserve death. Gel and Phone bullied Lyla but they had no hand in that clip. Moreover the person who released and shared the clip survived. Mac was definitely a psychopath and Lyla was no less. Not only was she a bully but also the fact that she planned to kill everyone because she didnot know who recorded and released the clip was equally disturbing. I felt relieved that taking revenge for Lyla turned out to be no one's motive atleast. Plato, Ken and Dan were neither Lily and Sonar's close friends or even any witness to the rape. How could Lily and Sonar blame them for not helping them? Mind recorded the vdo but she never intended to release it and Bozo did not even have an idea. Last but not the least, Lily and Sonar actually deserved to die because although none of the others were too good but not that bad to deserve such death. Bew's endless love for Nest till the end has taken a place in my heart. although he was not good as a human being, his love for Nest was pure. Nest's reason for releasing the clip was actually reasonless. She did not even get Mac's love after doing all those.

Memorably Entertaining

I am going to preface this by saying that I am in no way a fan of horror movies/shows/dramas. I don't enjoy being scared and I don't appreciate the excessive violence and gore than tends to go hand and hand with most of them. I tend to avoid them like the plague. However, I happened to come across this one and was intrigued by both the cast and the plot and decided it was worth potentially traumatizing myself. Surprisingly though, I actually quite enjoyed this drama and wasn't traumatized in the slightest. There is certainly a fair amount of both gore and violence, but not to excess, in my opinion, and for the most part, it didn't feel overly gratuitous. And while I felt there were some holes in the story, it was still interesting enough to keep me invested till the end.

The story itself is interesting, a group of friends is summoned back to an island by a text message where another friend of theirs committed suicide five years previously and chaos ensues. From there it bounces back and forth between the present and the past, five years ago. The pacing was overall pretty good. I felt it started to drag a little bit towards the end when it was focused more on events from the past than the present. There were definitely some scenes that could have been shortened and at that point I was a little more interested in what was happening in the present. There are also a number of plot holes/moments where I definitely had to suspend disbelief because events or actions just didn't make sense even within the confines of the drama. My only other complaint here is the moralising messages regarding the sexual assault and revenge. It felt heavy handed to me and unnecessary to hammer the point home quite as hard as they did. That, however, is simply my opinion.

The acting was quite good all around. Zee is almost always consistent and good in whatever role he's playing, but this was fun to see him as such a completely different character. I hadn't seen Jimmy or Tommy since Why R U? so it was good to see them again. Tommy looked so much more mature here and Jimmy's acting has improved significantly. Sairung did such an amazing job for her first acting role. She had some very tough scenes and she absolutely nailed them. Same for Ray, Noon, and Pinomyim, they did such great jobs in their first roles and I look forward to seeing what they all do next.

The characters were all so interesting in this drama because you start out thinking they're all relatively good/neutral people, but by the end, you've come to realize how flawed/bad they really are, with a few exceptions. However, the journey to that realization is not black and white. There are definitely shades of grey which adds an additional layer of interest because even though you know a character is essentially bad to the bone, there are moments where you pity them and you almost wonder, if their life/circumstances had been different, would things have turned out better for them? In addition to that, the psychological aspect is also very intriguing, the way they all start to mistrust and suspect each other and then turn on each other. You have friends who have known each other for years at each others throats, secrets coming out that have been kept quiet for years. I find it fascinating.
- Bew is the most guilty and the most disgusting of the group, in my opinion. While on the one hand, I pity him for the abuse he suffers at his father's hands, there is absolutely no excuse for his decision to rape both Lilly and Sonar. It was interesting to see though that he was consistent in who he cared for, both with Lyla and Nest, especially Nest. Even finding out that she was the one who posted the clip didn't sway him. If he wasn't such a scumbag, I would have found it sweet. His slow descent from the high and mighty Bew to the shadow of his former self he is by the end, is great though.
-Lyla is very nearly as bad as Bew. She's a master manipulator, the star child, but she's also unhappy because of the pressure she faces from her parents. After the clip of her and Bew surfaces, she snaps. She threatens her friends with a knife, asks Mac to kill everyone, blames her sister for her own rape, tells Bew that Lilly and Sonar deserved what they got, and, according to Lilly, planned to kill everyone on that trip, possibly with Mac's help. Frankly, I was pretty happy when both she and Bew died, absolutely no tears were shed.
- Dan was the most blameless character, in my opinion. Maybe I'm forgetting something, but I don't recall him ever doing anything deserving of the way he died. Seeing his relationship with Bew slowly revealed was fascinating, especially once it became clear that they were actually stepbrothers. It made it so much worse what Bew had done. And Dan's love for Lilly was so sweet and genuine. I do wonder what would have happened if he had survived, if she would have let him live.
- Ken and Plato are a little more complicated. Of the two, I hold Plato less blameless than Ken, but there is also an element of if Sonar and Lilly went to a teacher and the teacher refused to do anything, what exactly were they supposed to do? Obviously the girls weren't thinking that clearly and they just wanted their revenge and, yes, it sucked that Ken was more focused on protecting himself and Plato from Bew, but along with the two of them cheating on Gel and Fone, I'm not going to judge too harshly because I have never been in a situation where I had to be worried that I might be judged or ostracized because of who I loved. Anyway, I really loved their relationship and the way it was developed. I was so hoping they would survive and was kind of crushed when they didn't.
-Gel and Fone were certainly not blameless, cyberbullying both Lyla and Lilly with photoshopped pictures, dumping mop water on Lyla, trash talking her, and generally just being mean. Neither girl really has any redeeming qualities and frankly I wondered why two such nice guys as Ken and Plato would stay with them as long as they did. Fone's vendetta against Gel after her eye is ruined felt a little overdone to me. I mean, she'd just seen her boyfriend about to kiss her friend's boyfriend, then her friend confesses her love and won't give her space and she accidentally impales her eye on a branch. I'd freak out too. The sudden desire to murder Gel feels like overkill, but then again, everyone was going kind of crazy at that point.
-Bozo is in kind of the same boat as Ken and Plato for me. If a teacher refused to do anything to help Sonar and Lilly, what exactly was he, as a student, supposed to do? I feel like that's a lot to put on someone. Aside from that, Bozo was, well, kind of a bozo at times. While I thought his relationship with Mind was sweet, he tended to be a lemming, following whoever he thought was the strongest or who could get him what he wanted. Still, I did overall like his character and I was sad when he died.
-Mind was another of the lesser evils. While she was the one who filmed Bew and Lyla's encounter, she was not the one who posted it and only intended to use it as blackmail against Lyla. I appreciated both her strength and her determination. I also enjoyed her relationship with Bozo, it was very sweet and natural. I was also sad when she died, but I was glad she died naturally and wasn't killed.
-Mac is kind of up there with Bew and Lyla for me. I don't think he so much loved Lyla as he was obsessed with her, or it was an obsessive love. Either way, super unhealthy. While he wasn't a master manipulator like Lyla, he was able to manipulate certain people like Nest. Whether he ever actually cared for her is up for debate, but considering how much he obviously still loved Lyla, my guess is not which means he'd been manipulating her for five years. That's pretty cruel.
-Nest is the surprise and disappointing survivor. Of all the characters, I think I found her the least interesting. She turns out to be the one who released the clip of Lyla and Mac in an effort to keep Mac to herself. Ironically, that backfires as it sets into motion everything that happens in the drama and actually sends Mac straight back into Lyla's arms where he reveals not only that she is actually not disabled, but also that he thinks she has another secret. I get that she has issues, and I did pity her to an extent, but I just didn't like her enough to want her to be the sole survivor.
-Sonar and Lilly made an interesting pair of masterminds. The theatricality of their actions was certainly entertaining at times. They're another pair of complicated characters because you do have to pity them. They're victims of rape and when they sought help, no one helped them. I lay the full blame for that on the teacher, she was scum for not doing anything to help her students. That would make any woman bitter. For Lilly, on top of that, dealing with Lyla and her cruelty, she snapped too. It's, of course, no excuse for going on a murder spree, but you do have to feel for them and what they suffered to at least some extent. And I found the end, which I took to indicate as Lilly having committed suicide and meeting Lyla in the afterlife, to be rather hopeful. I'd like to think they could start over again and have a better relationship.

I loved the music. There were times that it really reminded me of the music from Hannibal which was amazing so very well done there. The opening was so interesting and unique. The use of lighting and backlighting to create silhouettes and highlights was just gorgeous.

The makeup was overall not bad. There were definitely some instances where it looked pretty fake, but for the most part, it wasn't too bad, in my opinion.

All things considered, this was a fun diversion for a couple days and I'm very glad I walked away un-traumatized. I enjoyed getting to see several actors I'm familiar with in roles I hadn't seen them in before and get to see some new promising actresses. This is definitely a drama I would recommend watching as its pretty quick to get through. It's not one that I would watch again, I think once is enough, but I am glad that I took the time to watch it.

Por favor alguém me ajude a entender o final xD
