North-South romances with lots of loyalty conflict and intrigue. The prominent roles of each lead’s family in their home countries also lends additional levels of conflicts of interest that threaten the lead couple at every turn.

Both series are about historical turning point

The Main leads fell in love without knowing what is gonna happen around them

Main lead gets affected by the dark scheme planned in the country.

Both are military and agencies related

Like Snowdrop, Mr.sunshine is also historical fiction, some of the characters and stories are made up, and some are based on historical fact. Such advancing of the timeline may have helped the producers dramatize the story.

-slow burn romance and love story
-blend of romance in a political/action setting
-spies, military and intelligence, international government driven politics in both
-SD is historical, set in the 1980s whereas Vagabond is modern day
-vagabond is much more action packed and fast paced, SD has a simpler story with more melo themes

3. **Tragic Elements**: Both dramas include elements of tragedy and heartache. "Autumn in My Heart" is known for its tear-jerking narrative and melodramatic twists, while "Snowdrop" incorporates historical and political tensions that add layers of drama and difficulty to the love story.

4. **Character Struggles**: In both series, characters face significant personal and external challenges that impact their relationships. Their journeys are marked by emotional growth and resilience in the face of adversity.

I honestly don't know why this show wasn't on the recommended list earlier
-note (WMLB- When my love blooms) has different actors playing the same characters for the past and present parts, which ngl threw me off a lot. I connected with the young actors more and couldn't connect them to the older actors.
-it was the past, the younger actors parts that connected with snowdrop a lot more so that's what i'm going to talk about below
-Both shows are set in the past 1980-90s, there's a lot of activism and protests going on in both shows
-From the beginning, in both the FL's falls for the ML's and try pursuing them, but the ML's aren't as interested
-In both dramas, the FL's come from well off families and the families are against their love -so they have this kinda unrequited love
- the cinematology is very soft and they have similar ambiences
-In both, the FL's are very soft, kind and generous, where the ML's are kind inside, withouting showing it on the surface
-also very funny side note, the FL characters name in (WMLB) is Jisoo

There is a lot of gunfight, action and suspense in both drama and one of the leads live a double life. They doesn't contain a lot of romance.
SPOILER: The main male lead dies by guns in both drama. The female lead lose almost everything.

Set in 1980-90s, nostalgia feeling in shows. Old school romance. Twinkling watermelon has a slightly more modern feel but both satisfy the romance old school vibes.
Recommandé par disgrace
both discuss north and south korea
talk about the president in south korea
snowdrop focus on dormitory, designated focus on presidential palace
