Predictable but good drama
This drama is for you if you are looking for an easy-to-follow drama with all of the lovey-dovey cliches. The show is predictable. However, it is more of a strength than a bad thing in this case. The series does not try to be ground-breaking or original. Hello, Mr. Gu is what it promises: a romance drama. Is it the story I will never forget? -No.
Was it a waste of time? -No.
Did I enjoy it? -Definitely.
Will I watch it again? -No.
Should you watch it? -Yes.
The casting and acting were excellent and fresh. However, the dubbing was terrible and often not in sync. If the dubbing were better, I would have given a higher grade.
The production was good, and the framework is high quality. I also enjoyed the 30-minute episode length. It made watching easy and pleasant.

Light-hearted, bubbly and engaging despite the usual clichés!
Contractual marriages? I often wonder if there are enough romance/comedy/dramas that revolve around this trope alone. After encountering a few I can say that 'Hello Mr. Gu' is surprisingly refreshing despite the somewhat heavy clichés dotted throughout the show. It is one of those shows that manages to allow tension to build and be resolved without skipping years into the making. It cast brilliant actors for well-written, well thought out, roles. Both leads are fun and engaging characters that pull the viewer in. Along with the side characters, this show is engaging and funny. I found the careers and backstories of the characters refreshing and engaging, I was not hooked from the very beginning but after a few episode I couldn't put it down. I found myself in hysterics countless times, having to pause the show to finish laughing before I could continue on. And on other occasions, I was on the edge of my seat wanting to throttle characters that got in the way or did something bothersome.
If you liked 'My Secret Romance' or 'Love Well-Intended' this is another show that will pique your interest and fulfill that craving for another happy romance that takes you through an array of emotions without being heartbreaking or melodramatic.
This is one of those romances that is light-hearted, witty, and engaging despite using a very common cliché - which it did to its advantage.
I would recommend giving this show a watch, with episodes of roughly 30 minutes and 30 episodes in its entirety - you will have another show that can take you into tomorrow's morn laughing. It's not too long and not too short. It was the right length to conclude the problems the main cast encountered whilst also delving into the life of animation producers and comic artists in a manner that makes me respect the artists around me more.
If you need a show that will make you laugh give this a go.
Tee.

Please watch it for yourself.
Unexpectedly I watched this drama in a period of only two days? It can be lesser. However please bear in mind that I am the type of viewer that does not have the ounce of patience in anticipating and waiting for the next episode in another week or so. But thankfully this show made it easy for me to want to know what happens next, made me moderately engrossed into it. Which is I suppose good. The plot was decently alright. Nothing too grand or too unexpected. The story consists of romance, love, a little youth, childhood memories, friendship, family but putting aside the mushy stuff.
The individuals in the drama radiates ambition, determination, perseverance in achieving what they want. Stopping at nothing. More or less most of them got what they want.
However the only downside is the sauciness that most viewers find it desirable for a drama to have. This was not really present. I m not sure why? I mean put it simply a little sauce should be mandatory for any romance drama. It finally binds the love between the characters making it all the more romantic and swoon worthy for the audience.
Unfortunately I don’t see that here. I m not sure? Maybe it’s the fact that the main actress was only in her 20 or 19 when she was filming this idk? But yea it was lacking in this drama.
Nonetheless, overall it’s decently alright. I don’t feel guilty or too depressed when I finished it till the end and kept going till the next episode and the next. Will I watch it again? Likely not. I mean I did put it down during the first attempt but the second attempt I find it alright.
However I am just one one person. My preference might not be the same as everyone else so you would have to see for yourself.
But hopefully this review can make you watch it with an open mind and help you in some way.

Love It Or Hate It
Is a love/hate kind of drama. I loved the lead male character straight face and when he would give a smile. He had pride but was willing to change for a person who he fell in love with. I hate the lead female character having temper tantrums and and acting childish. I like that she was a strong character at her dream and her work values and I even like her a little naïve. But it was annoying how she would get upset at anything and go whined to her friend. As a female we can be naïve and still have pride and act correctly and strong. I like her friends character she was calm and handle situation much as a mature person would do. The obsess colleague also was annoying. Many years working with the boss and she takes possession that he should be hers. Even after he shows her that he has no feelings for her and that she is just a co-worker. This has become to typical of dramas, but it is not how us women really are. We don't waste our time with men who don't care about us. I skipped many scenes because I found them annoying. The writer forget that as fans of dramas we are not stupid and we would like a bit of reality. The actors performance was good and it looked as they had a good chemistry.Cet avis était-il utile?
This Drama is interesting. Its Worth a rewatch.
So, like all other Chinese dramas, this drama is Slow burn and the last few episodes might be dragged but honestly I don't mind. It was a great drama..Sometimes when characters start dating the drama starts going downhill but at least when they start dating they have actual kisses and not the fake Accidental once that feel weird.
I love the contractual relationship plot in this drama and i wish more Chinese dramas would use that plot because it's just interesting in a way.
I don't live in a place where Contractual relationship happen so this plot is interesting and maybe that's why i love it so much.
I'm definitely planning to rewatch this because it was an amazing plot and also the Male lead looks like Jk from BTS.

Vale a pena demais

Mediocre, with some entertainment value
I watched this after seeing some clips in social media that peaked interest. It didn't quite live up to my expectations though. It is OK, but quite unrealistic/extreme actions.
Some of the things that pulls it down for me:
How FL is quite immature, none of them communicate well leading to repeated conflicts, and if his coworker really liked him, why would she go to such extremes as to ruin his dream and life?
And how quickly did FL move in to a new apartement? It was like she went straight from deciding to break up to eating dinner in a new apartement. I even skipped back to see if I had missed a text that said "1 week later" or something.
I found ML to act quite well, whereas I am more unsure about FL - might be because of the character.

Bem mediano
Certo che no!

Rainbow puke
This drama is so mellow and neutral that I totally forgot what was it about in 2-3 days ? I don't thing that this was the producers goal. I will try my best not to ruin this show because none of my memories indicate that it was bad. Although the fact that I completely forgot what the series was about when I started to watch another one proves that it wasn't THE BEST.When I see a trailer is only recall flat characters and a weak storyline that made me to give it streched 4,5/10 . Dramas in my opinion should be more memorable. "My Rational Life" which I was watching just after fully overshadowed it.
Only thing that stands out in my head about this drama was childlish female lead! ? Apart from that "Hello! My Gu!" was a oversweetened series where problems are as flat as table. Thanks to browsing the gallery on MDL my memory is refreshed and I remembered that the last episodes were so packed with lovey-dovey scenes that it was hard to finish it.
One thing about dramas in the concept of "me and my CEO" is constant - regardless of whether it is a Chinese or Korean production, there is always a successful woman around the CEO who wants him to herown and the new shy unknown girls that caught director's eye is extremely hindering her in achieving her goal. Here her name is Jiang Jing Xuan and she was well played and actually was hoping she will end up with Mr. Gu instead. Oh well... she picked a baby ... ?

This is a nice romantic comedy that, although is full of clichés, works very well for the plot. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and, even if it took some time for the leading couple to acknowledge their feelings, they stayed true to each other. The leading couple has good chemistry and their romantic scenes were nice. There were a couple of antagonists but no mayor harm was done from their antics, especially since the male lead was not so easy to fool. The female lead, possibly because of her naivety and insecurities, kept believing others instead of trying to clarify with the leading male; but the problems are resolve within a short period of time. Overall, this is a lighthearted, fun, and entertaining drama to watch while waiting for a great one to come. Cet avis était-il utile?
