Best. Drama. Ever
I've never written a review before but for this drama I have to.This drama shaked my world. I don't have words to describe it (and my english is not perfect, to be honest ^^)
The music, the acting, the story... everything was perfect. I loved the costumes, the universes.. everything. I laughed, I cried (a river !), I enjoyed, i loved every minutes.
To be completely honest, I'm a little frustrated of the ending and the lack of the marriage between Orchid and Dongfang.
We saw Orchid married twice (almost) but never with the one she loves. And we wait their wedding when they prepared it before the war. But it never happened. So it would be very symbolic to have their wedding at the end. Maybe, lets be honest because I wish this show never ends too :D
However, it doesn't change my appreciation of this drama. I loved it even with the abruptness of the end.
This drama will have a special place in my heart for sure.

An Unforgettable and Moving Story with Captivating Themes of Love, Triumph, and Transformation!
This show was absolutely phenomenal, captivating me from start to finish with its stunning visuals and emotional depth. Several scenes moved me to tears, and the storyline was rich and intriguing, keeping me fully engaged throughout. The casting choices were spot on, with each actor bringing their character to life in a way that felt authentic and compelling. Dylan Wang’s performance as Dongfang Qing Cang was nothing short of phenomenal. He effortlessly portrayed the intensity and depth of his character’s journey, while Esther Yu’s portrayal of Orchid beautifully complemented the ever-evolving nature of Dongfang Qing Cang. Their chemistry on screen was magnetic, creating a dynamic that was both powerful and heartfelt. The show’s exploration of themes like self-discovery and healing was deeply resonant, setting the stage for even more complex themes such as redemption and forgiveness. Watching the male lead undergo multiple stages of transformation, each one more challenging and painful than the last, added a layer of realism and emotional weight to the narrative. The way the show symbolized pain as an essential part of the healing process was brilliantly executed, offering viewers a profound look into the intricacies of shadow work and personal growth. It was refreshing to see a story that doesn’t shy away from the hard truths associated with healing but instead embraces them in such an artistic and thoughtful manner.
Ultimately, the rebirth of Orchid and Dongfang Qing Cang was a powerful culmination of their journeys. Their transformation into a couple who emerged stronger and more united after facing numerous trials felt incredibly rewarding to witness. The show beautifully illustrated how vulnerability can become a source of strength, and the evolving relationship between Orchid and Dongfang Qing Cang highlighted the transformative power of opening up to one another. Their love story wasn’t just about romance; it was a story of growth, acceptance, and mutual healing.
This show exceeded all my expectations. The script, cast, and soundtrack came together to create a truly immersive experience that left a lasting impression on me. It has become one of my comfort shows—one that I return to again and again, simply because it’s that awesome! The emotional depth and artistry displayed make it a must-watch, and I can’t recommend it enough!

The ultimate love story between a fairy and devil who's tribes are enemies.
My second c-drama after 'The Starry Love'. If you enjoyed the second lead couple from that drama, I feel that you will really like this one. We have an innocent girl and a bad boy with a good heart type of vibes. The main focus of the drama is the relationship between the main couple so if you are craving lots of cute romance - this drama is perfect for you. I absolutely loved the chemistry between the lead couple and all their romantic scenes + over all development of their relationship. There is so much humour in this drama which I very much appreciated but it also delivers well the key sad/emotional moments. The beginning of the story is a bit strange so you really have to give it at least 3-4 episodes to really shine. I read that some people find the female lead's voices annoying and I must say it's a little odd at first but you get used to it. Besides, it really fits her character and the vibes.
In terms of plot, I find it a bit confusing after episode 31 - it seems like everything was suddenly rushed and that's why it's not a full 10 stars for me. But overall it's a beautiful story visually and emotionally and totally worth the watch.

Will remain my favourite Cdrama
Love Between Fairy and Devil is my first ever Chinese drama and I enjoyed every minute of it. It’s a beautiful love story set in an enchanting fictional universe that attracted me as a fantasy lover. It was very well made and it had extraordinary characters that were beautifully portrayed by all actors.
My favorite character was that of Dongfang Qingcang which was played perfectly by Dylan Wang .It was an absolute pleasure watching the formidable and fearsome Dongfang slowly falling in love with Orchid and seeing how he relearned the emotions of love, jealousy, worry, and fear.
The love story of Dongfang and Orchid was so heart touching and unique, I appreciated how it never felt one sided and how both of them were willing to sacrifice everything for their love.
I wished that we had a longer epilogue because the end scene for me was too short. Overall this drama is a great introduction to the world of Xianxia dramas and it certainly deserves watching.

Masterpiece.
I started watching this series with not many thoughts in mind, but ended up finishing it with my eyes bawling and feeling that emptiness after finishing a good series/movie. "Love Between Fairy and Devil" is simply a great drama for whoever is a hopeless romantic. It not only changed my perspective in love, but also how Dongfang made my standards in men even higher than before. He is not a green flag, he is a GOLDEN flag. Please watch this chinese drama, you won't regret it. I promise.Cet avis était-il utile?
THE best c drama
I’ve recently got into watching c dramas and honestly, this is THE best one out of them all. The fl voice is the only annoying thing in the whole drama lol, but after overlooking that they’ll are phenomenal actors. I fell in love with Dylan Wang!! honestly it’s been so long since I’ve watching dramas without skipping parts in it to get through the story, I thoroughly enjoyed it.the production value the cgi the visuals.. everything was so mesmerising
every single character had a compelling storyline and I could understand their perspectives well.
I really wanted the drama to last longer so I could feast on this masterpiece, but I’m thankful I got on with it even though I was reluctant to start it and postponed it for a long time.

Season 2???
I came all the way here, created an account, just say……there needs to be a season 2!!!! This series….AMAZING!! Very addicting! There just has to be a season 2 coming soon! There is no way this show should be end! It tapped in to so many emotions! Love, hate, irritation, confusion, happiness, and so on and so forth. My review is just me simply begging for a season 2!!!! It keeps telling me I need to write 500 characters!! I didn’t want to write season 2 500 times so at this point I’m just searching for more words to say other than “I need season 2!” Lol this is my first review I have written about a TV series. Lol ignore my ignorance lol but really, this show is amazing. I really would love to see more!!I’ll be waiting!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

"A man's fate can be affected by any small thing."
Love Between Fairy and Devil is a 2022 Chinese television series based on the novel of the same name written by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang. It depicts the story of a low-ranking fairy who accidentally resurrects a powerful demon, causing their fates to become cosmically entangled as the world is thrown into turmoil. This series is one of the best xianxia dramas that I have encountered and I highly recommend it. The chemistry between characters is duly felt, making the storyline feel all the more real and the visual effects are spot on. At 36 episodes, the plot for Love Between Fairy and Devil is well spaced, giving the audience a solid development of characters and their roles in this series. And the OST brings the whole thing together in a tremendous showing of fantasy romance.
Please give this series a watch the next time you're searching for a new xianxia to binge watch.

My most epic experience
Omg.. i have finally watched it i really have no words to review my experience 😭😭 it really was lovely cute tear jerking heart breaking drama ever. It's really a new experience, i cried non stop , music hit my heart, i am unable to attach my broken heart. The scenes accompanied by songs and music are either lovely or heartbreaking it deserves to be top 100 overall costumes are of a new idea that gives a really nice feeling. Music is overpowered. Words can't describe my feelings for this drama the concept has a new side to it. The couple are cute and lovely, i hope they will be real time partners. I have watched nearly a thousand dramas including Korean thai Japanese western i sometimes feel the actors are really compatible in real life it's same as it is in love is sweet the are a perfect couple. This drama is a must to those who evenknew the meaning of web series. It's a perfect drama in every aspect

Followed the hype and BOY WAS IT WORTH IT
Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of costume dramas, whether historical/period, xianxia, even republic dramas I find difficult. I could probably count on one hand the number of costume dramas I’ve actually finished. For a time, I really wanted to like them because they were so aesthetically pleasing, but after dropping bunches of dramas because of silly FLs or concubine drama or impossible MLS or boring stories, I gave up and focused more on modern dramas to save myself time. When I saw different posts on tumblr singing the praises of this one, I was hesitant, but interested. And since I’d never finished a drama with Wang He Di, I thought I’d give it a go.
There’s likely nothing I could write that hasn’t been written already, but this truly is a rare gem in costume dramas. The story moves quickly and the characters are dynamite. You get a bunch of tropes done in a way that’s familiar and refreshing all at once and some scenes just sort of steal you away to Shui Yun Tian or Si Ming Hall or Cang Yan Hai.
Honestly there’s a lot of joy and a lot of pain with only the tiniest bit of frustration towards the end because it seems the universe is conspiring against them, but even among the frustration the story is absolutely breathtaking and the themes are absolutely worth it. Love is sacrifice, love heals, love is strong. This story isn’t anything super new, per se, but it takes what it’s given and executes it perfectly. Highly recommend.

Perfect fairytale
CLJ now is hands down the best xianxia I ever watched. Mostly because how it was written, brought in life and performed. No major fillers or sideplots that annoyed you. It wasn't perfect-perfect, we have some lines not closed, but not that many and I put the blame on limited time that they have (I can't believe I am saying this abt xianxia, but I wish CLJ was atleast 4 eps longer). The last 4 or 6 eps, even if I love the pace of this drama to pieces, indeed felt a little bit too fast.I think it is quite different watching pleasure when drama from which you sidn't expect anything amazed you that much. From how thought out art, OST and CGI was to actor's perfomances and their chemistry.
CLJ is indeed xianxia ceiling for me from now on.

A beautiful drama simply about ... LOVE.
Probably one of the best Xianxia dramas I have seen. All the boxes where checked off on this drama. You couldn’t get a more perfect drama, from casting, to music, to costumes to CGI budget and incredible storyline.I enjoyed Dylan Wang in Meteor Garden and The Rational Life, but I’ve never watched him in a serious role and I have to say, he can act. It’s not easy to be playful and serious boss character. I enjoyed listening to his real voice and watching him play both playful and serious parts.
I liked Esther Yu in Moonlight but I do know people find her voice very high pitch and as much as I love a high pitch voice, yes the voice is very high, however, it grows on you. I really enjoyed her acting and she kind of captivates you. I do love her bubbly side and it was good to see her in a more dramatic and serious role.
The best part of the drama for me is the chemistry and epic love story of the main characters. I didn’t think there could be a 36 episode drama just about love, but they did and it took you on a crazy journey. I never felt like it dragged or there was too much silly misunderstandings. I felt like each obstacle the main leads had to overcome was engaging and really addicting to watch.
I liked that it was a drama between two sides, however there wasn’t a bad or good side, despite, one side being lighter and the other side being darker. It was refreshing to see each character’s inner issues and having them worked out. The character development was really good.
The costume and CGI was REALLY fantastic to watch. I loved all of the head pieces and colorful costumes. I loved the CGI backgrounds with the stars and shooting flowers and beautiful trees. The drama looked so organic and alive and mystical. I didn’t think I would like a drama with so much CGI, but it really took you to a different world.
The OST is good too and yes you can purchase the theme song in iTunes America! It’s always hard for me to find C drama songs on iTunes in America, so now I can play it over and over again. The music is really catchy, I promise.
Overall, The raving reviews have merit. It’s a beautiful drama simply about Love and that’s exactly why I watch C dramas.
