This is by far the funniest Japanese drama I've seen this year and the reason for that is language they use is too graphic. There are moments where I can't believe the dialogue that coming from these characters, I cringe but then laugh out loud after. The setting is also another plus points for me given that I love anime, they work in CG Production Company for games and anime. You see them working hard but there are times where they are just slacking off and fooling around, and I don't blame them as working conditions in this industry is one of the worst. Like for example they rushed one project so that one of their colleagues won't miss his date, but not really it's just a usual appointment with a girl in a sex shop where he is a regular customer. LOL
It's more of a character driven than story driven plot, characters are not railroaded to certain goals or events, it's just these characters, their funny interactions, their development, those are what made this such fun drama. The cast are composed of quirky individuals, the female lead who is addicted to sex, the virgin friend boys love fanatic, the ex girlfriend obsessed muscle man, sex shop naive patron and this office fling playboy. Each episodes consists of segments where each explores the lives of these characters. We follow them in a slice of life way in which most of the time are just wild and WTF moments.
The acting is good for the most part, you don't need award winning acting for this type of drama anyway and all of them are good in comedy, their comedic timing is almost perfect. The chemistry between these actors is excellent, in which their characters compliments each other really well. The opening song at the beginning is as wild as this drama goes.
Conclusion In today's world where people are easily get offended by everything they see and hear, it seems this type plot wouldn't feel right, but just give this one a chance and you will see characters who respect and support each other for who they are. How I wish I have colleagues such as them.

This dorama is honestly AMAZING! The story, the characters, everything about it is freaking WHOLESOME! Yes, I really think it was WHOLESOME! This dorama doesn't judge anyone and embraces their character's faults. Five very different adults work at the same company, but their friendship is just exceptional! They way they care for and help each other is so lovely. The story and their everyday struggles are so realistic and FUN at the same time! This dorama really makes you STOP judging people for what they like and just accept them.
I recommend this dorama to EVERYONE!! Because everyone should watch it and experience Studio Delta's everydays and fall in love with their employees! They are all lovely characters with their own kinks, but never toxic nor harmful! The actors did an amazing job at portraying their characters and their performance was super realistic, I really wished for their happiness and the ending was very satisfying! They didn't use any stupid cliches at the end (which I was a bit worried about), but as expected, they did not disappoint me until the end! I'm so thankful and happy that I could watch this dorama! Thank you so much for the subber too!!
It's one of the best dorama's of THE YEAR, honestly!!! AND WE NEED SEASON 2!

Non-judgmental storytelling about casual sex - unique but not great
Completed - 6/9/2022Japan really has its own unique style in telling stories. This drama not only focuses on our female lead's sex life with her 5 friends with benefits, but also touched upon subjects such as prostitution, asexuality, and transvestism.
This drama is not preachy or judgmental, but casually tells us stories of 5 working adults at a video production company. In order to enjoy this drama, one should be open to the above-mentioned subjects and the culture of having very casual sex. Each character is quite unique in their own way. I don't find any of them particularly lovable, and actually quite annoyed with the female lead. I am still trying to get used to Japanese humor and its uniqueness/weirdness.
It might seem like our female lead is enjoying her sex life just as much as all the male characters in this drama. However, she is not as liberated and carefree as it seems. Deep down, she is just like every other typical drama female character who longs for love and marriage, and is in love with someone who doesn't care for her. She's really no different than the women that her male colleague sleeps with. Maybe that's why, I don't particularly like her or her style of acting. I actually find the stories of her colleagues more interesting than her 5 sexual partners. Well, at least A-kun is quite handsome.
With such a strong focus on sex, this drama is surprisingly PG-13. There's not a whole lot of skin shown during all the intimate scenes and they are not sexy or sensual at all. I am actually quite disappointed (no, I am not expecting p0rn either). Towards the end, it does show some chemistry between two co-workers, but nothing much really happened. Maybe their story will continue in Season 2.
Overall, this is a quick and easy watch. It could be fun if you are open to the topic. It's not a drama I highly recommend, but watch it if you want something different. Oh, and I really dislike the opening theme song.

Story
The storytelling of this drama was very interesting. The whole drama revolves around a group of five coworkers/friends who each have a unique quirk/trait to themself but also mirror/parallel each other. This, I loved. We start of by getting to know the promiscuous girl, named Momoe, that has five friends-with-benefits whom she spends most of her nights with. In contrast, we have the only other girl, Ume, be an asexual virgin who's only sexual interest is BL. Matsuda is the male equivalent of Momoe, being a handsome man who has multiply friends-with-benefits. His other male colleague is Hayashi. Hayashi is a man who is constantly working out and looking at his ex's social media. Due to how things ended with his ex, he now only wants to be in a relationship with virgins and has become a "second virgin," not having sex with any other girl since his breakup. These four have Hiyama as their team leader, a workaholic who uses his money to buy time with an escort and does not have any real relationship with a girl outside of this.
Each episode would tend to focus on two individual themes that ended up being shared among two of the coworkers and how it differs among them. This shows how separate and unique their lives and problems are among the group. Soon after, the story had an "its a small world" interaction with characters, connecting all the personal lives of the five friends even outside work but with none of them finding out. I really like that, as usually when something like this happens, its to "out" a person to the rest of the characters, but not here.
Actors
I really liked all the actors here. They were above average and did real good, in my opinion.

Even with such short duration they managed to fit all the main characters. I like how they separate the episode into 2 section to tell the character's story.
The only thing i didn't like is the intro song. Idk it's just doesn't feel right to me. Outro song sounds better.
Overall, it's a good drama to watch if you want something light and easy to binge.

I'm trying to process my thoughts and feels about this show but really I'm still stuck in the "wow" phase. I started this show firstly out of curiosity and it was a bonus that it was such a quick watch. Even though it was only 12 episodes it kept me hooked through all of it.
Though the closer the last episode got, I started to panic because I just knew they weren't going to be able to sort out everyone's life and relationship in 25 mins. Yet they found a loophole that made it end perfectly. It it probably the one time I have ever seen a complete ending that was also a open ending. Lol It's so weird. Haha (though don't get me wrong. Thank gah there is a season 2, otherwise I might lose my mind) There really are way to much going on in this season to just leave it as is.
You'd think I'd learn by now with doramas that there will never be a "pass the time/play in the background" --I always end up hooked by the first episode and next thing I know, its ended and the birds are chirping outside. Haha
The storyline and characters were unique to me. So often we have the cut and dry good girl so it's good to see a more carefree MFL. Actually, all of the characters are more carefree so it really adds to the interest for me. I think the only character I didn't like so much was Hayashi. He was the basic jock type that made me want to scream. I kinda hope with season 2, he's not so much of a obnoxious person and returns feelings towards that one person. (I know this is wishful thinking, leave me alone and let me dream. Lol)
Okay I'm ready for season 2. *stalks the drop date*

True friendship
This was such a breath of fresh air. It showed a myriad of interesting character representations. The best thing was they had friends who completely accepted them for their truths. I have never seen such non- judgmental friendships where you can be your true self. Lovely thing was that these friends were polar opposite of each other but still there for each other. The tough topic of sexual encounters was filmed with discretion. I give kuddos to director and writer to drive home messages and teach us in a charming way.Cet avis était-il utile?
Funny, quirky, relatable!
Just finished this drama and I absolutely loved it. I thought the humor was tasteful and spot-on, and all of the characters were fully developed. There wasn't one character I disliked!I was expecting something raunchy, but it was actually...heartwarming?? I found parts of it super relatable. If you are a late-20 or early 30-something feeling like maybe you've failed at adulthood, give this a watch. It will definitely raise your spirits! I was left with a warm fuzzy feeling that I adore from dramas.
