Usually I enjoy Roy Chiu in dramas, but felt some of the scenes required ranges of emotions that didn't quite fit with either the characters or the main plot. Also, it didn't feel like they allowed his character's persona to continue the positive development he started out with in the first 10 eps., such as his breaking free from conventions imposed on him by others, etc. which would have made his character and imo the whole drama that much more interesting to watch and his emotions that much more believable. (I think writers/directors were trying to put too much into it to make up for lack of storyline) If this drama had ended at 18 episodes, I would have probably given it a solid 7-8 rating, but unfortunately it didn't!
Finally, I will say there was definitely more chemistry and warmth from the 2nd lead couple than the first, which made the viewer feel like it must be a very tough acting job for Roy and Megan. This is my first time seeing Megan Lai in a drama, and I felt she did a great job in her character and the emotions she had to portray. If you have a lot of free time on your hands, go for it, otherwise The Office, which is a similar storyline and characters would be a bit more entertaining.

Story: Started off funny, interesting and a bit like City Hall actually but quickly turned into a drama with an extremely slow plot and lack of direction. A lot of things happened towards the end that came out of nowhere and just didn’t make sense. There were just a lot of things the writers could have done to make it more interesting. It was way too predictable, slow and a good 7 eps too long. It at least had a good ending=)
Acting/Cast: Loved the leads together. Megan is one of the better Taiwanese actresses out there. Roy is usually a good actor but his character didn’t have a lot of development and his expressions were kind of stifled which may be the fault of the writers. I loved the entire supporting characters!!
Music: It was disappointing and although I didn’t like Office Girls that much it did have a better OST. The music in this one was really boring and made the drama feel slower and I just wish it was more upbeat.
Rewatch: I wouldn’t watch this again even though I loved the entire cast because it was just too slow!
Overall if you cant handle extremely slow plots id stay away but if you like Roy, Miss Rose is worth a once over.

I thought this drama would be like the other dramas which are really great at first but slumped at the end (like The Musical, Cheongdamdong Alice, Love Forward, etc) but it's not as worse as those dramas. Miss Rose is really romantic, dramatic, and whatever '-tic' you could think of. :P
MIXED EMOTIONS~~! XD
Roy Qiu is sooo handsome on top of it all.

And why?
Firstly, the story:
I know that there are plenty of people out there that really enjoyed this show and loved its story, but I'm not one of them. I really got bored of this dated plot that goes by with;
Girl is poor and weak but a reaaaally good person.
Boy seem to be jerk but proves to be a total good guy.
Boy with his own troubles saves girl and "teach" her to believe in herself.
Boy falls for girl.
Girl falls for boy.
Ect. Ect.
I'm not saying that this classic tale is bad, I would be a hypocrite to say that, since I have multiple dramas that I love using that exact build up. However it is how it's executed in Miss Rose that's what makes the show rather dull. The conflicts and drama is not very deep and unserious (not in a comedic way but as not dramatic enough) so in the end, the climax just stays uninteresting, in which it shouldn't. The romantic plot that supposedly drive the story forward is either boring or, for me, seem to be dead and unchemical. When our main couple can't aid the shows poor storyline, than it's bad. It's sad for me to admit as a person that mostly talks bad about sidestories, but in this series the sidestory about Sheng Jun and Xiao Ke was THE ONE THING that kept me going til the end.
Secondly, the cast:
As I've said before, if the story is bad then it's the characters assignment to carry it and somewhat save it from doom. Sadly that's not how it ended up being. I'm not saying that the cast is bad, no, I feel that the most of the actors captured their individual roles rather good and portrayed them well enough. It's not their fault that the majority of the characters are either hateful or just a complete bore. Yes I said it! Sorry! But really who can for real say that Si Yi is an interesting character!? Sure she is a good person and all but she's sooo boring, I feel mean to admit that I didn't feel bad for her at all because she just welcomed the shit thrown at her, being the resident doormat of the show. I have far to much problems with that kind of character to even remotely feel a tinge of sadness for her.
Cheng Kuan, is harder for me to hate and that basically because I just love the bromance he shares with Sheng Jun. Both actors really have a good chemistry while acting together, at least compared to the non existing one between our main couple. Truth to be told I had no problems what so ever with Cheng Kuan in the most scenarios he was in, in exception to the so called romantic moments with Si Yi. Their so called love just fell flat on its stomach and was, by the end of the drama, painful to watch.
The love rivals are not anything to brag about. Vivian is annoying and the typical mean b**ch like in so many other shows, but really her character is to much a cut out so it's not even interesting to fallow her evil scheming, reason being that you probably already seen it a hundred times before. The guy rival, Yi Zun are less of a son of a B**ch, but that doesn't matter considering the fact that he possesses the same amount of bore as our main female lead.
As I've already said so is it thanks to the funny Sheng Jun and the easygoing Xiao Ke that I even finished the show. I loved them both as individual characters and as an item. So cute and adorable.
The music in a show is very important. It's there to enhance the emotions in a scene and make the watcher feel the drama and suspense. And just because of that, I'm picky when it comes to this subject. I have to remember the OST and feel that I can save it on my phone for later enjoyment. It's to bad that I've still to find an breathtakingly amazing OST in a Taiwanese drama. Miss Rose OST does not bring anything more to the table than what I've heard before. Either its the actors singing the main theme or the generic and boring insert-dramatic-music- here kind if bullshit. But considering the story, it's not weird that the music couldn't become something greater.
Rewatching is right in the middle. How come? You know when I seem to really be bored by this drama... Because I have seen it more times than one. Ok maybe "seen it more than once" is to overdo it. I've technically only watched it fully once. But I've skipped and seen moments (Sheng Jun Xiao Ke moments) quite a few times now.
I know that I won't ever actually sit down and watch this drama all over again. It didn't bring me any reason to sit through that one more time and so I wont.
Overall and lastly I will say that this show is just as cliche as the name of it. A supposedly romantic and cute story of a odd couple and all that. For me this was a total snooze fest that I've fallen asleep to a few to many times which says a lot about how I feel about it. But this is just me. I don't like to recommend or unrecommand dramas because I feel that each and every one should try things and see for themselves. After that we'll see who agrees with me and not.
Happy watching!

This drama has all the typical drama elements. Love triangle with a female that is more concerned about possessing the lead male than him loving her, a lead male that can’t seem to say “no” and gives in to the delusional female, and finally a, usually, innocent female that gets sucked into the toxic love triangle thinking that love will overcome all difficulties. Spiteful and corrupt boss that is influenced by the delusional female to attack the other female. Ex boyfriend who could really love the female and want to get back together or he could be a jerk who is like delusional female. And with this one there is juvenile slapstick in the first couple of episodes which may turn some drama watchers off from the drama. This drama does get better as the episodes progress, it starts to mature and then it seems to take forever to finally reach the end. Just when you think things are starting to look up for the two leads the delusional female does something to change all that and the drama seems to start over again. If you are looking for an easy to watch drama this one is not it, but if you are interested in a rollercoaster drama then this is the one for you.I really like the actors but it felt like it dragged a bit, just when the end looks like it was near something dramatic would happen again. Eventually you just want it all to end.

Falls apart in third act
It's fun for a while, but the third act is a complete mess. The female rival is super toxic with no redeeming qualities. The male rival becomes a villain out of nowhere. The male lead suffers a lot of manipulation and guilt for no good reason - it's hard to watch him get walked all over for so long. Third act just gets progressively worse. Luckily the two leads and their sidekicks are fun to watch or it wouldn't be worth it at all.Megan Lai is an absolute delight as always, so I stuck it out for her and the adorable Roy Chiu.
Acting is great all around, but the plot is just a disaster.

I guess they told us what this would be on the tin. Rose by name. Rose by nature. Sure, she could have some personality, an arc, or some role in the text or she could just sit there being decorative while people fight it out around her. The worst part of this type of plot is that her lack of action, her lack of aspirations, her lack of agency are then used textually to defend her behaviour. While the male lead tosses over his fiancé because he wants to bang his secretary who's just so "pure, sweet and selfless", she manages both to be the object of that affection and the impetus to his change while somehow emerging innocent. All this despite her gross emotional manipulation and utter disrespect of his relationship.
The worst thing is that the premise itself bears no relationship to the actual plot. Because to have Miss Rose actively in the world trying to get married would have required her to have some kind of role in the text rather than being a passive impetus to the male lead's development (seriously, even the return of her ex was entirely about the male lead's emotional growth). It might also have meant we couldn't be told endlessly that she was merely a passive victim of an unfair world and then how could they lecture us about appropriate female behaviour?
You may ask precisely why I subjected myself to a viewing experience that involved me yelling at 23 episodes of television. I couldn't tell you. I just think it's a relief they don't make these horrid and misogynistic odes to female martydom anymore.

Rich people need psychological help! This series contain strong people who are true to who they are and story sending a good moral message and hope to the audience. For normal everyday people, this is how you change honest and sincere people into liars and cheaters. The "romantic" sneezing song sounds very whiney and annoying. Had to mute it or skip the the nice romantic parts. Shame.
Love the 2 main female leads: Megan Lai and Tia Lee. Female villain Vivian, goes through about 3 moments where it seems as though she would have a change of heart and do the right thing. Each time she does not do the right thing, so making her break through at the end was very weak and forced. It's a shame that all the leads were just pretty to look at but not much brains and talents. The only female who showed some wit and brains, Ting Ai used it for evil deeds.
