An Adorable Comfort Watch

This was such a comfort watch. This is the BL series that launched the popularity of this sub-genre on the international stage. This series isn't highly innovative. The leads are attractive, but their chemistry on screen is solid.

The initial premise of the show is a bit problematic. It starts with an aggressive, flamboyant queer character chasing a straight man to be his boyfriend. The rather stubborn, flamboyant character named Green can't take a hint or a no. Tine then looks for someone to be his significant other to deter Green. Initially, Tine thinks of finding a girl as his fake girlfriend, but to no avail. Tine, with the brain trust of his close friends, comes up with the popular Sarawat as a fake boyfriend.

It is obvious Sarawat likes Tine fairly early on. I thought that was initially a little weird. However, as the series progresses, we learn that Sarawat has had a long-time crush on Tine. These flashbacks, which give greater context to Sarawat's and Tine's earlier interactions, are fantastic.

Tine eventually falls for Sarawat, and the relationship becomes sweet. There are a handful of kisses, and sex is only implied. It is not the best BL series I have seen yet. However, it is highly enjoyable and seems like a great comfort watch.

The side BL couples could use a little more development.

Cute-looking at the beginning, but extremely underwhelming at the end

Story:

Well, there is not much of a plot going on, which is kinda regular thing for bl-dramas set in high school or university about two cute boys meeting each other and falling in love, so i wasn't expecting much in this regard. But the show surprised me, turning a bit trivial story of fake-dating into one of the worst screenplays i've seen in bl-drama.
The two main characters are pretty inconsistent in their actions and motivations, especially towards the end of the show. It's clear that their relationships were portrayed in a certain way in order to appeal to general public more, and it was, obviously, successful, considering how popular the show was and is. For me personally, the absence of any queer themes from the main story was very off-putting.
Pacing is a bit weird, though it is definitely not the worst part of the whole show.
Secondary characters are quite boring and single-dimensional at the best, and all girls in the show have absolutely no personality or purpose besides being a cheap plot-devise to make main leads jealous or angry.
Humor is questionable — sometimes it made me smile and laugh. sometimes it made me cringe, but i guess overall it was somewhat okay, though i really hated how green was portrayed as a somewhat stereotypical feminine gay man and basically used as some kind of laughingstock at the same time.

Acting:

Win did a pretty good job as a newcomer, his acting had its ups and downs, and he was by no means perfect all the time, but it was okay. Bright, as more experienced, on the other hand, looked pretty weak in comparison. His acting felt a bit forced and unnatural even in the beginning, but it got noticeably worse towards the end of the show. Chemistry between them was kinda there at the beginning, but completely disappeared by the episode when they started dating.

Music:

It's good. Like really good, the best part of the show, probably.

Rewatch value:

I wouldn't rewatch it unless someone paid me for doing it.

Apprezzo molto questa serie per la sua dolcezza e per l'approccio realistico alla rappresentazione delle relazioni LGBTQ+.

Gli attori principali, Bright e Win, hanno un'ottima chimica sullo schermo e rendono i personaggi molto convincenti.

La colonna sonora è anche molto coinvolgente, con canzoni che si adattano perfettamente alle scene romantiche.

Inoltre, la serie affronta anche temi importanti come l'amicizia, la famiglia e l'accettazione di sé.

Se non avete ancora visto "2gether", vi consiglio vivamente di dargli un'occhiata.

È una serie TV adorabile che vi farà sorridere e vi farà innamorare dei suoi personaggi.

Uma comédia que perde toda a graça em pouco tempo.

De uma forma geral, possui uma comédia bem escrachada e até ridícula, mas funcionava até que bem até chegar num momento em que os protagonistas já não precisariam mais dela.

Os personagens em geral são bem rasos e sem grande peso narrativo, assim como possuem enredos completamente vazios e mal trabalhados, o que piora com a atuação que muitas vezes não consegue convencer que os personagens realmente acreditam no que falam ou sentem. Além disso, mts são extremamente estereotipados de uma forma bem desagradável de assistir.

Além de uma tentativa péssima de causar uma reviravolta nos últimos episódios que seria completamente esquecível se não tivesse sido tão angustiantemente longa, fraca, irritante, frágil e descartável.

Pode servir como um entretenimento qualquer num dia que queria assistir algo descompromissadamente mas apenas até certo ponto.

1st BL

For many viewers, this BL wasn’t their 1st one, but to be honest, for me it was. I got introduce to Thai BL at the beginning of the covid-19. I still had work and my university homework/assignments didn’t end. I was overwhelmed with all the stress that I had during those difficult times. 2gether was my escape and my introduction to a new, undiscovered and unknown world for me. The story is cheese….Ok, very cheese, but maybe that is way I liked it. I was tired of all the drama and negativity that was going around the world and around me. The innocence of the love story was really new for me. To imagine that maybe this can happen to somebody, and why not me…lol.

The story doesn’t have really good kissing scenes and no sex at all, but again, since it was my 1st bl, I was ok with it and as well, it won’t be as innocent if it did. The funny thing is; when I started seeing other BL, I was amaze how some have strong sex and kissing scenes…lol.

The music is great, and I loved it so much that I started downloading so much Thai music that even if I don’t understand it, I can appreciate the incredible rhythm. Another thing that I was amazed was the heavy marketing they do during the show and even after…lol. As a marketing minor, I have learned so much because of this show.

I hope anybody that reads my review understands that; this is a clean and pure lovely bl show. I enjoyed it and I know you will if you keep that in your mind.

a thai drama infinity stone

whatever that means. When you think of Thai dramas, you think of "Together. I have watched so many edits and seen so many things talking about it, and it dawned on me that I actually had no idea what the show was even about. It's an easy watch up until the end. I would have finished this at 12 am, but I had to check out before they fell apart on episode 12, so good on the show for getting me that emotionally invested in the show. It got an average of 8.6, which is rounded down to an 8.5 because of that ending. They milked it for a sequel that I will watch in like 2 months when I have completely forgotten what the show is even about. I hate the tropes with internalized homophobia, like the I am only gay for you trope. Getting on my nerves. It's a good show with an okay ending. THE SINGING MADE ME ACTUALLY WANT TO CRY. One of the main reasons I am not watching this again is the singing. I am okay when there is a little bit of singing here and there, but they were singing like four times every 10 minutes. Bro, actually shut up. I turned the volume off when they were singing; this is not a fucking high school musical. Shut up. You are lucky you guys are hot, or else I would have dropped the show so long ago. The boob jokes were actually so funny. We needed that. I would recommend it; it's one of the infinity stones, and you kind of need to watch it. It's too strangling for men to be overly flirty with each other because they have crazy good tension. That's how I would describe it. I respect it. Uh, okay, thank you for this show. On to whatever my friends pick for the next one. Okay bye!

So I know that a lot of people think this series is cringey af but I enjoyed it and I have good memories of it. I finished it in the first half of 2021 probably when I had nothing to do and this series just give me good vibes like it's just a comedy without a super complicated story but still it wasn't boring (at least at the time). I meeeean it was kinda cringey sometimes but every drama can have it's moment. STOP WITH THESE GUITARS PLS. Honestly I do not remember the side couple at all so yeah... In conclusion it was a nice series to watch during quarantine 7.5- nice overall but not my fav

There is no chemistry between the main leads.

I know I know leads are very handsome. But the thing is they lack acting skills.

Bright's acting was decent but I dont like Win's acting in this show and that made me drop this show.

The lack of chemistry is not just due to lesser intimate scenes but there were not many moments where you can feel like they are in actual relationship. It felt pretentious.

It was good upto the part where Sarawat was chasing Tine but after this it was just flat to me.

This series could be much better if they would have casted different actors with good acting skills.

Okay so I am giving it a 5 stars because of their looks only.

I don’t feel that they were even 2gether

When I first watched 2gether I felt that it was such a good show, but when you think about it 2 years later you realize that this isn’t a BL it should be counted as a bromance and that both Sarawat and Tine have no chemistry at all. All that actually seemed like they could’ve had chemistry was when Sarawat would say “I’ll kiss you till you drop” or whenever he would ask to hold his boobs. Other than that their was no BL at all, I feel bromances had more chemistry than a couple that is supposed to act in love with each other, but now that I realize it I don’t even think they even kissed once except whenever they would think about each other. I don’t really have much to say about Tine and Sarawat, but I do think Tine and Green would have more chemistry than both Tine a Sarawat together. I really only finished the show because of Mil and Phukong and they had chemistry even when they weren’t even a couple. I felt so bad for Phukong because he was madly in love with Mil, but he kept turning him down because he liked Tine until the very end of the show that Phukong and Mil finally got together and had the best chemistry in the whole show. I can’t really talk about this show that much or I’ll just be saying bad things about it, but now I know why both Bright and Win now act in straight dramas now.
