An absolute gem. One that flew under everyone's radar, and it would have flown under mine as well if it wasn't recommended to me by another Avengers Social Club fan.
Spring Turns to Spring is a very lighthearted comedy revolving around body swapping of two women and all the hilarity that ensues. The plot never takes itself too seriously, while also tackling issues such as corruption, infidelity, misogyny in a comedic fashion. We're also given an abundance of hilarious revenge schemes, quirky office humor and interactions, endearing sismance and mother-daughter bonding, and more. If you've seen Avengers Social Club and enjoyed it, I can almost guarantee you'll enjoy this drama as well.
The cast and acting were amazing, especially our two leads, Lee Yoo Ri and Uhm Ji Won.
What I never saw in this drama were the actresses Lee Yoo Ri and Uhm Ji Won--only the characters Kim Bomi and Lee Bom. The way both actresses portrayed characters was so breathtakingly convincing, I couldn't help but think to myself every episode as they changed personalities, "wow, these two are incredible at acting!" You could instantly recognize the change in character by the shift in facial expressions, voice, and body mannerisms. How each character was portrayed so seemingly accurate and similar by two different actresses was stunning, especially when you consider how contrasting Bomi and Bom's personalities were.
The rest of the cast were no slouch either.
Lee Jong Hyuk's interactions with Lee Yoo Ri were godsend regardless of which character she was currently in. Choi Byung Mo never fails to perfect the role of a world class douche of a husband and human. The Bom brothers by Kim Nam Hee and Ahn Se Ha were golden. I have to admit the broken English by Bom Il was disconcerting at first, but eventually grew on me as a comedy factor. Heck, even the foreign actors were a joy to watch, as the scenes were always pretty self aware that they were mostly to serve as comedy.
The OST was fitting and catchy; the songs never felt unnatural to their respective scenes. I also eventually found myself singing along to the intro of every episode with its "Yeh, yeh, yeh, yeh~". The main theme "Well come to the Bom" slowly grew on me throughout the show with it's upbeat, catchy tune and how it was always inserted at the perfect moments--I could always expect a welcome shift in mood whenever the song played.
Just an overall very feel good drama. A great watch if you're feeling a bit down, looking for nonsense comedy, or just want to turn your brain off and enjoy a K-drama.
And so, as Winter turns to Spring, I encourage those who haven't seen Spring Turns to Spring to give this gem a chance; you won't regret it!

Welcome to the BOM because You'll enjoy it like BOMB!
The justification for my overall high 9.0 rating is mainly due to Lee Yoo Ri's (Kim Bo Mi) acting and I'm glad that I got to know her first through this drama after feeling really interested about the plot. Nope, the drama didn't disappoint me cuz I was craving for some light comedy accompanied by some great acting & it offers all. Trust me, if you miss Lee Yoo Ri's acting, that'd be such a big waste! She was probably the sole reason why I wouldn't even think of dropping the drama when it seemed a bit draggy. But you know, all k-dramas have this dragging thing in common. She outperformed all of the other casts here with her unique expression which I highly admire. The body-swapping plot is a bit too old but the director executed the story well throughout the drama...the actors have done the rest quite smartly.
Music wise, Yebin's "Say my name" and BerryGood's "Welcome to the Bom" were the ones I really liked a lot!
Nope, I don't see any particular reason why I'd rewatch this drama apart from Kim Bo Mi's unique expression.
It seemed quite an underrated drama as I haven't seen a lot of views where I watched it. So, don't let the views hinder you miss this awesome drama...
Finally, I'd pray that Lee Yoo Ri will be offered more FL role cuz if not, her talent will be wasted & that's really unfortunate remembering her age factor! Please, PDnim, show some interest toward this underrated actress cuz she deserves more recognition!

To be honest, I was also hesitating whether to watch it or not. I don't know why, but it just didn't seem like my type of show. However, I decided to give it a try despite my hesitation and I'm glad I did! ''Spring Turns to Spring'' is a very beautiful, well-written, funny and heart-warming drama that is truly one of a kind. It grabbed my attention from the first episode. Well, I wasn't that crazy about it then, but when the story started developing and when I got to know the writer's idea, I became quite obsessed and I binge-watched it. I couldn't get enough of our sweet ladies Bom and Bom Mi. The interactions between them were everything! I love how their characters developed and how they managed to change. Bom was a naive woman who was so obsessed with doing good deeds that couldn't see how trashy her husband and her friend are. But I loved how she became an independant, strong woman who believes in herself and doesn't allow anyone to hurt her. Bom Mi was definitely an interesting character and her development was a bit slower, but at the end of the drama, I was so proud of her. I still do understand why so many people couldn't understand her and eventually disliked her, but her development was amazing. I can keep praising Lee Yoo Ri's and Uhm Ji Won's acting for days! Seriously, these ladies swapped their bodies so naturally that I forgot that I'm watching a drama and that can't happen in real life. The chemistry between them was out of this world! It was so obvious that they were having fun while filming!
There are a few things I didn't like though. The last three episodes could have been better, I think they dragged the story a bit too much. The ending was VERY satisfying, I cried a lot because I wanted more. Also perhaps I'm a bit too much hahah but I wanted to see at least one romantic scene between Bom Mi and Hyung Seok! I shipped them a lot and Hyung Seok was my favourite character so... :D Lee Jong Hyuk is an amazing actor and I'm definitely gonna follow his works in the future.
Overall, ''Spring Turns to Spring'' is a drama that needs more attention! It's very, very good! The acting is excellent, the characters are all very interesting and well-written (including the supporting ones), the humour is nice (it's not everyone's taste, but I got used to it pretty fast), the storyline is very intriguing and the ending will leave you satisfied. I'm so glad that this drama exists, we don't see many dramas with a different and unique vibe very often. So, please, give it a try!

enjoyed it loads
The summary here sums it up, so that's what the show is about.
themes: autonomy, loss, grief, adultery/betrayal, abandonment, parental bonds, motherhood, marriage, reinventing yourself, found families
It's engaging, but not because of the logistics. I didn't care about the plot of trying to switch these two back, and it becomes pretty secondary. It's about how everyone deals with the changes, how they affect them, and how to get things back on track.
This show is hilarious, and I barely skipped it, even if some of it was filler or not as interesting. The foreign actors did well (minus the older euro-aussie man). And there's a bit of English in the show spoken by Koreans who are obviously not fluent but do their best and sound good. The foreigners only attempt a little Korean though I assume they know more of the foreign language than the cast does English, just for necessity's sake. Honestly, it's surprising because most foreign actors on these shows are so abysmal, but since they were an integral part of the cast.
The cast is stellar, and god Lee Yoo Ri and Uhm Ji Won (who I'm obsessed with since little women, which I need to finish) are so beautiful/hot. that doesn't and shouldn't matter. Still, being in their 40s at the time or just getting out of it, they are seen as "older," but your 40s are also your prime, in a different way than previous years, and unique. Because she looks younger for her age, LYR's character in her original body is 32, but they swap, and IRL are only 2y apart, so it was very genius casting in that regard. But they're both phenomenal. I didn't realize LYR was the hot infuriating reporter daughter from father is strange, and I ended up loving her there. She's fantastic at physical comedy but is also a brilliant character actress.
UJW is AMAZING, and she stole the show for me. They are both so adept at changing who they are, and god is LYR funny as Lee Bom, but UJW as Bom and Bo Mi was a sight to behold for me. The way her body moves, how tall her frame is, and her hair which is all purposefully opposite, are a challenge for her to embody bo mi, but she pulls it off, and we get to see her as Lee Bom, growing more. She was an immense joy for me here, and I didn't expect to see her. This woman is FUNNY. Also I can tell she speaks at least some English because she has the typical Korean-laced English accent that shows she's practiced.
Everyone else was honestly terrific and so funny. You could feel the relationships are genuine; the husband actually kisses the woman he's having an affair with, they actually cry, they actually get to let themselves look ugly and be weird, have no inhibitions when acting. Very good-looking cast btw, even the ones that aren't typically attractive.
Mostly I loved how funny it was and the themes they inserted. Bo Mi is a bitch, and she's adopted, and she has two friends from the orphanage they grew up in and essentially abandoned them. So they all experienced abandonment, and even though this show is almost wholly a farce, it has moments of genuine emotion sprinkled in, where you get frustrated, and there are times I did cry.
lee bom has everything and bo mi has nothing but lee bom loses everything. her story was the toughest because she was naive at times, mostly because she was privileged, but that privilege didn't make her a horror; she was a lovely woman, and people consistently underestimated her as if that showed a lack of life experience. Except she was a fantastic actress and had her strengths, just like Bo Mi was intelligent with her street savvy. She didn't need to protect her money; it was always protecting her family and doing what was best for them. You can tell that though she wanted things perfect, it was from a good place. Her daughter's love for her was so admirable, and their relationship was great. Si Won adored her mom.
Bo Mi was a harder character to like and get into—she changes quite a bit but her regular personality often comes out and trumps that change making it very difficult to care for her sometimes. But Lee Bom makes watching Bo Mi worth it. Her love for Bo Mi doesn't falter. She realizes really late how alienating she has been and though I wish they did more to change that it wasn't strictly about changing her in a way we could tell immediately. It indicated that these things take time, and the show is really about how they live their day to day and the people around them.
Obviously what i liked he most was the bond between the two women. they even say that female bonds and the strength of such in the face of adversity, of men in between them, is easier to betray than to remain steadfast with the love you're supposed to protect. To me it has queer themes and I appreciate how female and found family centric this was. It was never about romance (there is little to none) and Lee Bom learns she needs her daughter, her friends from her life and her agency and even the news studio, and bo mi to be happy because they all actively want each other to be happy and be in each other's lives. BTW the news studio cast? Ace. I fucking loved them and Bo Mi's weird love for them and how they also didn't take her shit. Particularly the wonderful, gorgeous Chun Soo Hyun (Mi Ram)
To bom, bo mi is "my love" and to bo mi, bom is "my dear bom, my other half"; "i am her, she is me, don't insult her to me" and they know each other.
The show displays the strength female friendships, family, and friendships. And these all amount to found family and finding your place in the world. Love and others help you do the right thing, and you receive true love when you do. To be in service to others isn't a detriment but a benefit to our lives. Additionally, the main villains are men (purposefully); as bo mi said, "if you're born a woman you at least have to succeed" but we don't have to play their game.Bo Mi and Lee Bom were each other, and in love with each other, and will always have each other and by extension, by building a good life and living the way they want and while helping others, they regained their bodily autonomy that was lost not due to the incident that got them in the swap but the actual circumstances of real life. The show has ALL THIS while being so hilarious for the most part and not serious and just very sweet. It's subtle and engaging and beyond entertaining. There are some flaws but mostly I have glowing things to say so recommend

Funny Turns Silly
As the Rule of Funny goes, the limit of suspension of disbelief is directly proportional to the funniness. And yes, it works just fine for the first half of the show or so. Unfortunately the behavior of the characters becomes increasingly dumb without being funnier. The FLs in particular start to overact heavily. And it doesn't help to have supporting characters behaving normally, in a jarring contrast to the leads.
I really struggled towards the end, kept watching mostly because of Lee Yoo Ri. If it wasn't for her I probably would have dropped the show.
