Juhan Shuttai! (2016)

Both dramas are about optimistic girls who had dreams but ended up working in a publishing company doing a seemingly ordinary work. Juhan Shuttai focuses on the editors surrounding the manga artistes.

They both have a passionate energetic main character who does their best at a new job and the plot is set in their workplaces. The both of them are also light and easy to watch, and balance comedy and emotional moments.

The series take place in the same universe, fictional magazine "Weekly Vibes" and the series "Dragon Rapids" featured on both show.

A female lead drama with eccentric but bubbly and lovable characters. Both shows focus on the development of their coworkers as well the main lead in an enjoyable way!

Both are about Manga Publishing, while Aoi Honoo is about a struggling rookie Mangaka, Juhan Shuttai has an Manga editor at the centre of the story.

Both give an insight into the life of manga artists and editors, even though Gegege no Nyobo specifically focuses on the life of Mizuki Shigeru (whose name is mentioned two times in the last episode of Juhan Shuttai) and his wife.

Office Setting, Workplace Setting, Narrating a profession, Telling the other side of a profession, A light-hearted story

Both are feel-good workplace dramas featuring a rookie who not only learns the ropes but brings change to their team as they find their way and develop relationships. They also give insight into the business ( as only J-dramas can do!) in a fascinating way, and have memorable characters who have meaningful arcs.

They both have a passionate energetic famale main character that gives her best in her job and the setting is her workplaces. Also, the focus is set in the cases/artists the mcs encounter, but they both contain bits of humor and take some time to show you the characters and their relationships.

Both are great workplace dramas that made me motivated for work (after crying buckets). Juuhan Shuttai is not the kind of masterpiece that Misaeng is but it's on the way there.
No romance, just hints.

Today’s Webtoon is a Korean remake (2022) of the japanese drama Juhan Shuttai from 2016. Though it conserves the same structure I find delightful to witnesshow differently the two directed constructed their stories. In the Japanese version FL starts with thejob interview and is directed admited. The korean version seems solid but as up to now Viki has released only 2 episodesfrom each of thesetwo dramas, I shall come back fora better comparison.

Both are based on well-known manga and give an insider look at the lives of mangaka (the creators) and the industry (in both cases, some form of Shonen Jump).

Both are about a rookie learning the ropes in her new job and sometimes bringing fresh perspective that a more experienced veteran wouldn't have thought of. The main difference is that Juhan Shuttai's Kokoro is naive but not stupid, while Channel wa Sonomama's Hanako lacks common sense, bordering on stupid.

Both take place in the publishing industry. While Romance is a Bonus is about publishing books, Juhan Shuttai is about publishing manga. Both show the struggles the staff go through to publish, promote, and sell a book.

If you love Ima Wakai Mon Wa you will also love Juhan Shuttai!!.. both are stupidly funny to enjoy after tiring day but at the same time refreshing and motivated..
