Fantastic! The story is SO Unpredictable that you'll say "Wow" at every twist of the story.
The Acting of Kim woo bin <3 How to explain it... I don't have words. The pain that he feels is literally felt by the audience. You won't believe my words! So watch it yourself, How amazing the expressions of his love are. I bet everybody would fall for him. The curiosity of WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT is what keeps you stuck to your seat during the Whole drama.
And the Music is so Captivating that EACH AND EVERY SONG of this drama series is in my best songs list <3 according to the situations, music is PERFECT.
Family love, the cries of a mother, the cruelty of a father, the concept of Politics, the responsibility of being a son, the Greed of Money and the Desperation to be with the lover, EVERYTHING is MIND BLOWING.
There isn't any typical Upper class lower class torture like other kdramas have, where the girl has to suffer in a relationship because of her Low status. It is a REASONABLE DRAMA with No exaggeration, no over acting, No side characters. You'll only love love and love it <3
As for Romance, its so Real as if they're a real couple. Honestly. I never found such romance in any other drama, even though I tried to. You won't be able to see such a HEARTWARMING ROMANCE IN ANY OTHER KDRAMA, that's something I can bet for. Go watch it. RIGHT NOW!

Deep love
Okay... heavy stuff. In the beginning I had problems with the storyline, did not really get a grip of the strange relationship between Shin Joon Young and Noh Eul. Eventually though I thought it was a really special relationship with deep love.
Heavy story, good acting.
I 'knew' Kim Woo Bin from Heirs and was curious to see him in a lead role. He did not disappoint me, I must say.
I liked Bae Suzy in this drama more than in While you were sleeping.
But hey... I was a mess after having finished this drama! I am always really part of the story, like really being in there, and I needed some time to recover. After having watched this, go for a light drama!
Before having registered at MDL, I had my own grading system. These are the grades which I applied and which have contributed to the overall score I gave to this drama.
acting M: 10
acting F: 9
couple match: 9.5
romance: 9
emotions: 10
story line: 9
supporting cast: +
watch back: yes

If you are familiar with the writer..(who wrote Innocent man, A love to kill, I'm sorry i love you) you would know what type of story this is..
This is not a fairy tale..It is clear cut realistic story. and It is true that this is not for the ones who would prefer RomComs...they might end up being disappointed...So if you don't like sad realistic stories..Don't watch it and complain about it..
But if you loved those dramas i mentioned above or you like tragedy genre...Join the club and watch it..you would love this drama..
But if you compare other popular dramas from the writer ,, i find this is lacking somewhere..
Acting/Cast
Kim woo bin- i think he is one of the best actors who can portray that "bad boy with a soft heart" role perfectly. He was not in my favorite list even though i watched most of his dramas and movies. But here he was able to capture my heart...So frankly his acting in this drama was perfect.
Suzy-same goes with her..she was also not in my list..but here she was really good and i loved her.
I think i should appreciate most of the actors in this drama..They did a really good job to make those emotions in our heart..laughter, agony, anger. everything...
Music
This drama has three English songs which are still ringing in my mind.and along with all other songs they blend up with emotions of the story...
So the OSTs is one the best thing about this drama..and i would say that even if you decide to not to watch this drama..you would enjoy these OSTs alone.
And there is a present for fans of both main actors.
Rewatch Value
I'm not the person to talk about that since i do not Rewatch any drama.
Overall
It was good drama worth watching and will remain in you heart.

I really did enjoy the drama.. But the ending was left up to the viewers whether they think he is dead or alive And thats one thing that disappointed me. It makes me feel that the writer of the drama is not confident enough with her/his ending. Though I overall really enjoyed the drama. But yet I suggest you to watch this drama if you are a fan of Kim woo bin.. You see even in real he has cancer.. I won't say you anymore spoiler.. Just enjoy the drama. Kim woo bin and Suzy acted Really well. I overall enjoyed the drama alot. There are a few people I really liked in the drama.

No me pareció irreal.
100% recomendada.

The acting of the whole cast was impeccable. The whole show was DAEBUK. The story and acting was so real and I really felt everything and it touched my heart. I didn't want this show to end. I become so attached to the characters and didn't really want this to end. I want this to go forever.
Though, it doesn't have a happy ending. It will definitely teach you something in the end and you will be blessed for what you have in this life. I will definitely rewatch this show but not alone, I will definitely watch it with a friend, so that I could get a shoulder to cry on.
OKAY!! enough of the melodrama. But please do watch this show, you can't miss on such a masterpiece. This show will intrigue you from the very first episode and please watch it with a pack of tissues with you as it is one hell of an emotional ride which will broke your heart. But WATCH THIS SHOW!! and feel everything as its beautiful.

Melodrama - unlike what I write down bellow I trully recommend it
Shortly its about dying guy.Which want to :repair: his wrongdoings to people he loves or loved.
I give it 8.5 just cause I gived 9 to series with alike theme which I think done better in moving mine emotions.
Actors did quite good work sadly human relations in this story are quite complicated which gives less room for romance.
Overall indecision of main dying character is understandable but its propably main reason why I didnt empathise as much as I could and main reason for score just 8.5

Kim Woo-Bin sealed the deal for me from the pilot tbh. i'm not that knowledgable about kpop so i didnt even know who suzy was till halfway truh, so! all him. his extremely captivating self. who just kept growing on me as it went. tears down my eyes un-
yeah i'll go for it, why not
uncontrollably, by the last few eps.
fantastic performance.
i'm glad to be able to call this my first drama. i feel like it set me up well for what's to come, serving as a good introduction to those sensibilities i clashed with through all my other attempts. it all just flows really well once you get on the same wavelength with it. the music, the surprisingly creative camerawork, dramatic editing. everything works in tandem to provide maximum entertainment, in a way that feels surprisingly sophisticated. like they been around the block so many times they got the formula perfected.
the constant twists and turns made the show impossible to put aside, so i ran through it pretty quickly. all the relationships worked well and were cute, minus the odd annoyance here and there, though those things seems kinda unavoidable given the nature of this subject matter. or genre as a whole, rather, since im guessing a romance drama of this kind can only really work if you continuously throw obstacles in the mix to prolong the end goal, lol.
so yeah. i really liked this. i really like kim woo-bin and suzy, although she has decidedly less character development and kinda freezes in place for the end spurt once focus goes even more to kim. (her closeups were effective n whatever, but compared to his.. she was basically making the same face at every major twist)
while the revelations in the end did feel a bit underwhelming at first given all the anticipation, and the sheer amount of stuff they had to cover, i commend them for the decision to slow things down for the landing. it left me feeling very sober, so any criticisms i woulda had are just faded now.
i'm not sure how to rank 'rewatch value' so i just put a neutral 5. it's not like that should really factor into the quality of your first experience, i dont think. tho i do think ill maybe eventually hop back in just cuz its my first, and i can see myself growing even fo-
fuck it
fonder memories for it over time
onto the next one!

should have watched it years ago
I just recently finished watching Uncontrollably Fond, it's been sitting on my list for years and I just didn't dare to start it. At first I was waiting it to finish airing. Then, I started seeing some people giving negative feedback on Twitter. I wasn't sure if I would like it but since I love the two main leads I gave it a try. I'm not exaggerating when I say I wish I watched it right after it was complete. I absolutely loved every part of it. I cried and laughed many times throughout the drama. Kim Woobin surpassed my expectations. I just realized he doesn't have a lot of presence in kdramas / movies even though he’s been in the industry for a looong time but that’s mainly bc of hiatus due to his cancer treatments,, but still he is known as one of the best actors of South Korea so that says a lot about him. Anyways, I just wanted to say that this kdrama was painful yet beautiful. I would rewatch it again in the future for sure.Cet avis était-il utile?
I did try to watch this during the time it was airing, but didn’t make it past episode 4 or 5. I’m not sure what made me want to give it a second go, but I guess it’s because I hadn’t seen anything from Kim Woo Bin in awhile and missed seeing his face (lol this reasoning). Regardless of why though, I am glad I gave this a second try because I genuinely liked it a lot more this time around.
A major reason why Uncontrollably Fond was a great watch came down to the actors/actresses and the portrayal of their characters. This was especially true for Kim Woo Bin as Shin Joon Young (the male lead of course), Jin Kyung as Joon Young’s mum and Yu Oh Seong as Prosecutor Choi. All three conveyed such depth and growth within their characters and I found that I enjoyed watching their scenes and what they brought to the drama. In fact, my favourite scenes were between Joon Young and his mum. There is so much emotion involved between the two and it was so difficult not to become emotionally invested in their relationship. I can still vividly remember the different moments between them and how much it tugged on my heart.
I’ve seen a number of praises for how Kim Woo Bin plays Joon Young and I wholeheartedly agree. The character is a break from his classic troubled high school/angsty teenager. Yes, he still has a number of angsty scenes in Uncontrollably Fond and he starts off as a troubled high schooler, but there’s actually layers to his character. He presents Joon Young as a public figure who apparently everyone knows about, but holds onto so many scars and secrets that cannot be shared with anyone, even the people he loves most. However, that doesn’t stop him from wearing his heart of his sleeve. He doesn’t shy away from expressing his feelings, especially when it came to who he wanted and didn’t want in his life. I found it was easy to grow attached to his character and just wanted the best for him. For lovers with Suzy, whilst I think she’s watchable, I do think the female lead could have been played by anyone and it would not have made a difference. Woo Bin really carried the show with his acting and the way that Suzy’s character is written, coupled with how she portrayed the character, doesn’t give her the chance to shine.
The storyline itself heads in one direction. It’s not hard to see what will happen at the end. There are a series of conflicts and drama that requires resolving, but those moments are predominately vehicles for character arc development and to emphasise the importance of the overall message the show has to offer. That’s not to say that those scenes were boring. They were simple, to the point and tied very well into the overall plot. I don’t think there was any episode that was useless per se, but do think that the first 3-4 episodes and last 2-3 episodes were most memorable and grabbed my attention. What I did like from the writing is the script, essentially what the characters say either to themselves or to each other, especially in the last few episodes. There were speeches that carried a lot of meaning and I oh, so very quotable.
Uncontrollably Fond is a very, very sad watching experience. There may be some scenes that can be a trigger for those who have experienced loss and grief, but ultimately, I think the show really delivered an accurate and meaningful representation of the appreciation of life and the importance of making sure you live your life to the fullest. The emphasis on reflecting on your actions and behaviours, the relationships you build and whether you have any regrets before your life comes to an end is something I found really memorable. There’s a lot to take away from this drama, which I really liked, beyond just the usual romance and resolution of the drama presented.
