The brain is a wonderful place to drill...
Should have been shorter...STORY - a so and so story about a man with a damage part of the brain that prevents him to feel empathy towards others. A very skilled neurosurgeon, who is magnificent in the diagnose of the patients "the body nevers lie".
The plot is not very deep, some issues remains open and the main focus goes from a mistery about medical research or even the past of the ML to a love or something like that relationship.
I do not mind the end, i like happy endings. But it makes no sense some of the events...
ACTING - the acting was good. The ML is very good with a very interesting part. The FL is a little dumb, specially in the begining. The villains are not very interesting and the secondary parts are also not very engaging to me.
MUSIC - i really do not remember the OST.
REWATCH - maybe... maybe one or two scenes, but i think there are better hospital dramas.
OVERALL - i had fun to watch, specially the ML acting.

Why have i decided to watch this drama? So okay, i admit i was drawn to watch this drama because of the male lead. I find Jang Hyuk superb, versatile, excellent actor. He could carry out drama, comedy, suspense, action you name it.The plot itself is unique, i find these genres interesting because its not the usual medical drama type...it has a "twang" to the story people! This is one of the few medical dramas that i could rewatch over and over next to the US drama Dr. House way, way, way back i think 2009 Thats why im wondering why did they cut this short instead of making it at 16eps they reduced it to 14, it was really disappointing. You have the great plot, award winning cast, what really went wrong? Time slot perhaps?
Its really disappointing when i got to the last 2 to 3 episodes the drama suddenly went "fast-track".
Nevertheless this drama is highly recommended especially to those medical drama fanatics there. You will never be disappoi ted except that this was cut short.

Story: there’s no cliche, no cheesy rom-com, there’s love, and the will to understand the other person who is important to you !
this drama talking about the dark side of hospitals and medicine filed in general !
The drama asking us lots of questions: is there’s a hope for people ?! can money control even hospitals and doctors ?! can you change when everybody around you telling you no ?! .. This drama also talks about how powerful an idea is and how dangerous it is when it controls human life !
Acting; Jang Hyuk ( Lee Yeong Oh ) proved himself in this drama, if you ever watched him in “ Fated To Love You “ - which is a good and funny drama by the way - you will really know how well he really played his character ! in Fated to Love You he played a funny romantic and cute businessman, but in this one he played a sociopath, anti social, and a genius neurosurgeon, there’s a big gape between the two characters which is AMAZING for any actor, I really can’t describe how great he was!
as for Park So Dam ( Gye Jin Sung ) i didn't like her role in the beginning ! she was sort of annoying and irritating but after couple of episodes the writer made her turn into such nice young lady who suits Lee Yeong Oh character very well
the other supporting actors was very good, especially the Power Renegers team :D , they were so funny i loved them !
Music; well nothing to remember for me ! but it was nice overall...
again here’s another masterpiece drama deserved more couple of episode to be complete perfection but….!

i definitely recommend this drama if you are into medical, love story kind of plots. Another reason to recommend this is because of Jang Hyuk! Totally awesome actor.

Very decent
To be honest, I thought it was going to be a dry investigation drama.It. Was. Not.
I thought the romance won't be that good.
I. Was. Wrong.
If you want something with an interesting investigation and detailed story, this is not it. If you want a funny slice of life hospital drama, this is not quite it. If you want a bunch of cuteness overload romantic stuff, it's not quite the right choice. BUT
if you want something that has a bit of everything surfacing here and there, then yes, go for it! It is I think worth your time, it's very decent, lots of heart-warming parts, good acting, good interactions. Not a perfect, but a GOOD show!
It has a not very complicated story, some evil-doers, corrupt stuff, nothing extraordinary, but enough to keep the actions moving.
The writing I think is actually sort of the weak part, it tries to be smart and deliver twists at the right time, but it always falls just a bit too far from the perfect way to do it. It's not bad though, but not very good either.
The characters are great, but again their writing is not always the best. I always expected them to say a bit better lines. I think it becomes better and better though as we go, I think the writer found the right voice as they showed more of the characters.
For some reason the main girl kind of gets abandoned halfway, like she comes up sometimes but she sort of loses her role and personality, her drive and ambition she had, I think again: writing problem, as the creator probably wanted to focus more on the guy and kind of forgot to find place for the girl.
Nevertheless the main guy is Indeed very interesting, he has a disability which you can't help but want to follow and heal.
The side characters actually grew on me more as we moved forward.
There are not that many jokes, and not that many romantic scenes, not that many interesting investigations, not that many interesting patients... BUT
When they are there, they hit hard, they are very good to watch and that's what kept me going and going, to see those parts which happened to be very well done.
(btw I love the main guy, I saw him in another drama before and watched this because of him, he gets lots of spotlight here and opportunity to shine I can also recommend this if you want to see more if him ehehe)

A Beautiful Mind, a drama that mixes inspiration, medicine and romance
A Beautiful Mind is a drama that I like. Indeed, this drama is loosely inspired by Mary Shelley's very famous novel Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus. Before talking about the characters, I would first like to talk about the inspiration for Frankenstein. First of all, when we say Frankenstein, we always think of a creature with a cylindrical head, a cylindrical morphology, a very thick forehead, bolts in the neck and a body covered in stitches. However, in the drama, this is not the case at all and it is completely redesigned. However, it is a shame that over the episodes they turn towards an excessive romance, embodied by the duo Young Oh and Jin Seong, played by Jang Hyeok and Park So Dam. I still recognize that the actor Jang Hyeok plays his role very well. Otherwise, I got attached to the other character, namely Kim Min Jae (Park Se Young). In terms of the OST, they correspond well to the romantic atmosphere of the drama. In short, I'm disappointed because with less romance, the drama would have been much better to follow.Cet avis était-il utile?
The female lead, Gye Jin Sung, started off as the type of protagonist I usually detest the most. Usually forgiven by the masses because of her "passion" despite being senseless and harmfully reckless. The type who selfishly create problems based on their own sense of moral but is usually forgiven easily for it. She does redeem herself a bit after finally siding with the right person but it also felt like her personality oddly did a sudden transformation which didn't keep with character. What helps her case here, is she'll seem like an angel compared to the ex.
What can I say about our male lead, Lee Young Oh? I've always enjoyed watching this actor on screen and he doesn't disappoint here. Let's just say you barely notice the lack of chemistry with the female lead because he is just that good.
There is a nice amount of depth built into the plot even if you only pay attention to the script of our antisocial genius neurosurgeon. The rest of the cast does a good job and the development between relationships are believable. I also appreciate that they kept the dramatics at a good balance and the pacing of the episodes was done well with just a tad of rush towards an okay end.
