Although revolves around the military and another around prison both dramas are very similar regarding the relationship between the male leads and their respective girlfriends. Especially the story of Seo Dae Yeong x Yoon Myung Ju (DOTS) and Kim Je Hyuk x Kim Ji Ho (Prison Playbook) is very very similar.
In Forest and Descendants of the Sun, both leads are officers (in Forest, the male lead is partly a rescue officer) and doctors (the female lead is a doctor). There is little to no love triangle with the leads, and both female leads are kind-hearted doctors. The story also occurs in a remote place. While DOTS focused more on Argus and the children, Forest focuses on the elderly who are poisoned by the village's running water. In both stories, the female lead has been kidnapped to threaten the male lead.
Action packed and intense story lines with bits of humor sprinkled in to cut the tension. Very strong main pairing with gorgeous actors and excellent second pairing as well. Best in class cinematography and brilliant soundtracks.
When a Snail Falls in Love is a police procedural and action tv series first, with romance as a secondary storyline.
Descendants of the Sun is a romance story first, with lots of action sequences and medical drama added on.

the couple have jobs like doctor and lawyer.
Although it's not a soldier like in DOTS, both leads are working time-consuming job.
male chases female first
both male lead are composed and cool, they don't resort to funny antics.
there was earthquake also, and both of them volunteered for rescue team.

Okay, hear me out.
-Both are romantic Kdramas.
-Charismatic, smooth MLs who fall in love first & pursue FLs.
-Strong FLs competent in career paths.
-Adorable second couples (with strong FLs as well)
-Both FLs struggle to commit to the relationship at first, but are eventually won over.
-Both dramas have the right amount of complication but also fluffiness (DOTS also has more action although side FL in WWW can fight hehe).
-Search: WWW is focused more on the FL, and other female characters than their love interests however.

Everyone knows Song Joong Ki from DOTS. On the other hand, this extremely underrated drama that he did in 2019 called Arthdal Chronicles deserves way more love and attention, thus I am recommending Arthdal to SJK fans who became fans from DOTS. Arthdal Chronicles comes in multiple seasons. As of March 16, 2021, only the first season is released. This is part 1 of the first season.
