Excellent CGI
It's a really intriguing story, it draws you in as you keep watching. It's fast paced also(or normal, no unnecessary fillers, so it makes you want to watch each episode to discover what happens).I watched without subs(didn't understand anything btw, but wanted to keep going), because I wanted to follow the story. Will watch with subs later when they're all available ?.
oh my God and also each cast is perfect for his/her role.
The chemistry between the 7 students and masters is ?.
...and the CGI, no comparisons. ...so good.
cinematography excellent.

Storyline
Okay, let's get straight to the point. The female lead character was annoying. She had no trust in the male lead. She expected him to be understanding, without understanding his situations.
Same repetitive blame games, like why marry if you don't completely trust the guy. It became annoying to watch and sit through......poor ML.
As for the 2nd ML, it seemed he was just waiting for the slightest opportunity to reveal his evil intentions. His reasons for his actions were just not justifiable and I skipped through most of his scenes.

amazing story pace and visuals
*the music, won't say much very beautiful .the artists dropped ????*story well written, nice pace , feel like there are some easter eggs tobe found once you re-watch
actors ... great!!!
Xiao Zhan, Wang Churang stunning and charismatic as usual, Limingde...the best , Renmin very good for her first major work?....
*the angst?, not unnecessary for the story at all, everything is tied in ......one of the dramas where I genuinely teared up when the ML started weeping.
*Visuals and colour palette on point, not overly done , suits the story and plot.......after all it's not aupposed to be a high fantasy work.
*by the way Shi Ying's mother is the bosss?
