that sub plot is most definitely gay
I know that there is a lot of controversy when it comes to North Korean stories being told by South Koreans, but as someone who isn't Korean at all I can't comment on it. With every twist and turn I was able to stay surprised (as long as I was able to hold up my suspension of belief). Like any movie that involves guns there are scenes where people don't shoot when they could've brought someone down, but once you get to the end you sort of understand why. I didn't look at the casting beyond the two leads so I was very surprised with how many well know actors there were. With such a great cast of course the acting was good and I have no complaints. I really enjoyed the soundtrack especially the inclusion of zionT's song. I had not heard it before watching but it was a very impactful addition. I can see myself watching this again once it goes to streaming, but I highly recommend seeing it in theaters if you have the chance. I would recommend seeing this. When it comes to the *potentially* queer subplot, I don't care what the director says. "The Bastard I Loved" says it all. My thoughts were summed up really well by an article on the IndieWire by David Opie and I recommend giving that a read if you are interested.

Make sure to stay and watch after the end credits!
This was even better than the first movie! I watched the first movie 6 months ago once I heard about this project and say that Jung Hae In would be in it. I liked the first one but this one was even better! It was done by the same director but it felt very different from what I remember from the first one. The colors were super well done (I think that's cinematography or photography's job but I don't know for sure), and the sound track was great! I will say though, that it felt like it wasn't directed by the same person but maybe there style has changed over the past nine years. The story was a little hard to follow at times but I think that was because I watched in a theater so I couldn't rewind 10 seconds to reread the subtitles. Overall I totally recommend watching this movie if it is showing near you, it is action packed and keeps you at the edge of your seat wanting to know what will happen next.As for the post credit scene I feel like it could potentially set up for another movie which I wouldn't complain about, but it also feels complete as is. I would love to see move of the Seo Do Cheol character but we will just have to wait and see :)
I also wanted to note that you don't need to see the prequel, but it does add to the watching experience, so I would recommend it.

Finally They Are Equal!
Everything that I disliked about the first season was fixed in the second season. I hated how unequal they were and how they treated each other. They finally got onto an even playing field with the much needed communication! This season truly changed my perspective on the story and I want to read the source material now. I was hesitant to watch this season but I am so glad that I did! I actually enjoy both of the characters now despite their flaws. I am very excited for the movie to come out and to see where the story goes.Cet avis était-il utile?

just a bad ass woman being a bad ass woman to avenge her friend
a lot of the reviews bring up the lack of plot but i didn't see it as being an issue. its a simple story about a woman who avenged her friend who was done wrong. the action scenes are amazing choreographed and shot. the cinematography was amazing. the colouring was beautiful. i realy enjoyed this one and would watch again on a day i wanted a female led action film.p.s.
i do kind of get the ick that the fl and the director are dating. it just feels weird to me. the actress held her own and was absolutely amazing so it definitely doesn't take away from the job she did. i originally tried watching this film when it came out but stuff came up and i never finished it. i came back to it because i have become interested in the actress through her work in wedding impossible. i went through her list of work and saw she was in this so i decided to give it a go again and i do not regret it one bit.

Not So Much Of A Thriller... More Of A Mystery
I really enjoyed the acting in this movie, and it was nice to see those signed to be on cloud getting to grow more in their skills with these roles. I learned a lot more about the culture from Thailand and where it comes from and it was super interesting and cool to learn! I found the plot a little bit hard to follow at times, but I am sure some of it is due to a language and cultural barrier. I wish the nora dancing had a bigger role but I also understand why it wasn't. Over all I enjoyed it and would watch again. I am excited for the show to come out so we can continue to follow the characters and see where they end up :)Cet avis était-il utile?

I Can Feel The Female Empowerment
I don’t know if the purpose of this movie was to empower women or to give a woman a role that is normally gatekept for men but wow was this great. I love action movies especially those involving assassins and this has to be my favorite so far. Having a female lead who is the assassin adds a layer to it that makes it not like the rest! Bok Soon having to grapple with what it means to be a mother on top of her not so ordinary job made this super unique. I loved watching the mother daughter dynamic grow as well as the sapphic daughter being included! As a sapphic person myself that has dealt with my issues with my mother during teenage years it brought a new perspective to me while making it very relatable. I loved this movie and I would highly recommend the watch!Cet avis était-il utile?
