Bond between 2 people

If you're looking for something that will melt your heart and make you giggle and cry then this series is just for you. At first glance this series may seem a bit bland and at times generic to some, however the beauty of this show is the subtly in the passing actions and words behind the characters. I've had to rewatch a few scenes and episodes to fully capture the meaning, however this series is simple yet sweet.

STORY: A mono and probe relationship between a bonded pair of people, seems simple enough, however it gets way more complicated with how it is represented in the show. The character development and story at times can seem a bit choppy due to time constraints and how short the episodes are, however the story wraps up nicely and provides the viewer with sprinkles of subtext and future context. Like a puzzle, the viewer will need to pick up the bread crumbs and pieces in order to understand the full story which is revealed in a compelling way. Besides a few plot holes and unrealistic, and at times, best case scenario idealistic view of the story's problems and drama, the story is well thought out and written, however without any background of the novel providing the extra subtext, can make the experience seem confusing. The arc and resolution to the overall problems of the climax are somewhat too idealist but for the overall premise the story is well written and overall loveable.

CHARACTERS: At first glance the character Yoo Han may seem a bit cold, cruel and even confusing at times, however his actions have a completely different meaning. For viewers who haven't read the novel, his actions may seem cruel. Without the subtext to go off of, viewers may find his character bland or unappealing, however the shock comes with the reveal in his intentions. Although he is the generic bad boy, the depth of his character is slowly revealed. Yeon woo's character is a sweet, caring and loveable character that takes time for the viewer to fully appreciate and love, however the dynamic between the two main leads drives the show and the character development in Yeon Woo is apparent since the show is completely seen through his perspective.

ACTING: the chemistry between the main leads may start off as forced or dry for some, but by the end of the series the audience can tell the growing bond and the growth of the acting skills of the leads. The viewer should take into consideration that the acting may be a bit stiff due how new the main leads are in the acting scene, however it can be easily overlooked by the sweet scenes and overall storyline. However for me, I wasn't able to tell that it was the actors first time acting since they were immersed and passionate in their acting. Due to short screen time, side characters that deserve extra scenes weren't able to have that which would have honestly made the character's backgrounds more solid and could have provided a more solid foundation for the story, however the adorable interactions of the second couple provides comedy relief and a overall sweet break from the gloomy, sad storyline at times.

OST: the main track of Color Rush by Ryu Su Jeong provides a bittersweet context and the lyrics completely tells the story of the main leads and relationship between the main couple. The sweet harmony and wonderful soundtrack "Finding you" drives certain scenes and the humble background music provides depth to romantic interactions of the main couple. The main track honestly tugs at the viewer if you understand the lyrics and how they literally tell the story of the main couple.

REWATCH VALUE: If you want to enjoy something sweet and touching and just have a quick watch to pass your boredom this show is for you. I honestly recommend rewatching each episode at least once to get a fuller context of the character's words and actions to completely immerse yourself in the series since certain future context can be easily overlooked due to the short episodes. The romance is totally worth the long wait between the main couple and carries the show right from the start and is the driving element of the show.

Overall this show is a sweet diamond in the rough and the storyline really drove it and carried the weight. It is really underappreciated and the story is really what drives the series along. The acting, story, and characters are bitter sweet and the romance is written in a compelling fresh way. The Sci-fi elements are honestly a breath of fresh air and I completely recommend this series!
