watched halfway. lost interest. jumped to past few eps just to see ending.casting wise honestly i dont really like this FL. but thats just my personal preference. i feel like her acting is very…. meh. i dont really feel any particular way abt ML either

there’s really nothing fantastic abt the show and i think it is 100000% way too long. i felt like even though i had dropped midway and watch last 3 episodes, i basically wasnt lost as to what happened. whcih means alot of it was unnecessary.

Not my favourite but pretty good
I enjoyed the series but I would say definitely not my favourite. I had stopped at ep 14 and continued watching only after the new episodes till ep 40 were released.I like the story but I honestly didn’t exactly feel too invested in it. ZLS and WAY’s chemistry was really cute. My heart broke for them a couple of times.
In my own biasness I will admit the whole “hurting you to protect you without communicating it” really bothers me as much as I understand it was out of love.
I generally watch anything ZLS acts in because I adore how good an actress she actually is. But this wasn’t my favourite work of hers. She looks absolutely stunning in the different outfits. And I love how cute Water Beast Ah Yin is. ? Yes alot of people complain about her cutesy voice but seeiously it didn’t bother me bc she is supposed to be cute. I rather listen to her than someone else dubbing her voice.
Watch it if you have time. But personally it wasn’t one that I will want to rewatch right after finishing.

GREAT PLOT AND STORYLINE
Love Bailu. i really like her character and the plot of the seriesalthough there are some parts that made me cringe. i really enjoyed the series as a whole and the side characters as well.
kinda wish there was more on you fang ning and lyu xian though. but really enjoyable. 38 episodes went by relatively quickly without dragging too much.
interesting redemption arc for the female lead. trying to find her way back away from destruction. taking the whole “if only i could do it all over again” into play.

watch it only when you have access to ALL episodes
the first half and last 6 eps redeemed the show. and definitely will rewatch. but skip / FF eps 28-30.i love QSY. seriously that girl is so sweet and likeable. and i think her character was really well written. alot of growth was reflected.
i actually like SY and ZSY’s casting as well. i do think they have good chemistry but i know mamy disagree. although the breakup seriously was draggy and with too many unnecessary issues added. they shld have stuck to the novel more for this bit.
