STORY:
The first time I watched it, I was a little confused when the driving conflict seemed to completely change in the middle of the the series, but then I found out that the series was based on two novels rather than one. Because of this, the flow of the story felt a little off for an episode or two, but overall the main plot is interesting. A much bigger problem is that there are a handful of very unhealthy tendencies in Tharn and Type's relationship. Tharn's character can be creepy, especially in terms of being really sexually pushy, and Type's character is an asshole and a bully for a significant portion of the series. This can be pretty jarring and is definitely not for everyone.
It should also be noted that Type's trauma is something that's important for all of four episodes. It's never really touched again after that, and while I'm sure it's better executed in the novel, the drama doesn't deal much with it and I wish that plot point was more thoroughly resolved.

ACTING:
Mew and Gulf's chemistry is absolutely insane, and individually they also sell their characters really well. Sometimes Mew's line delivery didn't really do it for me, and sometimes Gulf's facial expressions were a little weird, but overall I think they did a pretty solid job. The supporting actors were also great, especially Mild (who plays a hilarious and lovable Techno) and Kaownah (who makes Lhong a villain that you hate but grudgingly understand). I don't think there was anyone who stood out to me in a bad way.

MUSIC:
Music isn't a huge part of Tharntype, but it's great when it's there. I really like the OST as well as the tracks that are played during emotionally charged moments. But in general, the music isn't particularly memorable and it's nothing extraordinary.

REWATCH VALUE:
There are some scenes I really love - I've watched Episodes 11 and 12 at least four times each - but I don't think I'll be sitting down to rewatch the whole series anytime soon. This is especially true for the first few episodes. I think part of the problem that both Tharn and Type's characters are pretty awful at the beginning.
This series would have benefited a great deal if it was dedicated to the first novel alone, so that we could better understand the characters and their relationships. As it is, the story is fine, but it could have been a lot better.
