Hwayi: A Monster Boy
I came across this movie by accident on youtube. I don't watch action movies too often, but if I do it must catch my attention - this one did it. I read a summary of the story and it seemed interesting. So to the story, it was definitely interesting and quite original idea. Five monsters in human form and one innocent boy, who is forced to become monster too. He is struggling with what he is taught his whole life and what he really wants. He is in a battle with monsters and with himself and his past. Will he have to destroy the monsters or will he become one? It's sad, very violent, disturbing, but also powerful with strong message. What I liked was the psychological side behind it all and the darkness. It has a pretty fast turnaround.
All actors here were really good in their role. I still have to mention that Yeo Jin-Goo, who played Hwayi and he was only about 16 years old in that time handle it just amazing. You will feel all his feelings and pain through his great acting.
The music fit well. I probably won't watch it again soon, not because it's bad, but this is the type of movie that is enough to watch once.
CONCLUSION: For me it is definitely yes, I'm just sucker for depressing movies, which will leave you with lots of thoughts in the end. But I probably wouldn't recommend it to sensitive people (blood, some gore, a lot of violence, suicide attempt). So, if you prepare for this, just go for it. It's worth to watch.

RIDE OR DIE
When I saw the trailer on netflix, I knew I had to watch it.The story seemed interesting and it was worth it. I like psychological dramas and even more so when it's a bit psycho. I have to say that the story was as crazy as the two main heroines. I appreciated that it had a quick start going on. It may be a little confusing at first, but gradually it makes sense. It's a nice but also sad story of two girls who are coming to a tragic end based on their decisions. Their relationship, if we may call it like that, was not healthy and the ending is depressing. Some will say it's toxic others will like it probably. Although the film is over two hours long, I definitely didn't find it boring. It was a roller coaster of mixed feelings, but still touching. I knew from the beginning that the girls would not have a happy ending. Despite maybe I would like to know little more details, I liked the last shot of the end. It just gave me that "manga / anime" vibe.
I think the acting was very well managed. The cast suited the roles and it looked real. I liked the most Mizuhara Kiko as Rei. She is so beautiful and her red hair matched her role in the movie. But not just it, she also played it very well, her crazy laughter and tearful scenes. Right into the feels.
Music was fine. The song "cherry" or something like that fits so well in the story with the lyrics. I liked how it in two different scenes sounded first cheerful and at the end so devastating.
I wouldn't have a problem watching the movie again.
CONCLUSION: If you like this style of movie with sad ending and the theme of girly love, I recommend. Even though you may not be a supporter, I think it's definitely worth a look. This film deserves more viewers, but again it's not story for everyone. The end almost brought me to tears, even though what they did was not right.

LOVE ALARM 2
Well, I see that a lot of people in the comments are disappointed, but i don't know why. Like of course, first season was something else, but that doesn't mean this is bad. I want to write a quite positive review.About story, as I said you can't expect the unexpected. Im pretty sure that most of us knew Jojo won't end up with Sun Oh. It was quite obvious even from the trailer I would say. Maybe that's one of the reasons why people are hating on this. I mean Song Kang is my favorite actor and I wanted happy ending for him too (he got one in some way at least), mainly cuz it wasn't fair what Jojo did to him in my opinion. I was sad from watching him being sad and broken. But in the first season it was Hye who suffered, so I think he deserved to be happy too. And in the end, he never stop fighting for Jojo, even though she didn't like him back. So honestly, I didn't know who to ship with her. Personally, I shipped Sun Oh with Hye together much more from the start than with her, haha. It's sad what one girl did with their good friendship, but that happens. Life happens. It's not always just pink and cute. Bad things happens, people are breaking up, hearts are broken, friendships fall apart and people become estranged. I have to admit that second season had darker vibe than first one, but I kinda liked it. It seems to be more real than happy ends happily ever after. Anyway the story was not bad, everything was explained in some way I guess.
Acting was great, everyone played their role. Song Kang is amazing actor and we could all feel his pain and we felt sorry for him. I just wish him smile more. Hye is exactly the sweet type of guy, patient and romantic that every girl wants. Jojo I don't know about her, I honestly liked her more in the first season, but still she's playing the girl who is trying to break free from her past and find herself and love good.
We can all agree that Love Alarm have beautiful OST and music vibe. It fits the theme.
CONCLUSION: Don't expect miracles and be real, then you shouldn't be disappointed. I enjoyed it and watched all in one day. It was nice and I was moved, especially with the last episode. But if you are expecting just sweet romance here and Sun Oh's happy end with Jojo, you will be mad probably.

SWEET HOME
I watched it all in few days. Each episode was so exciting that I had to look at the next one. The first thing I want to say is that this drama is probably not for everyone, but if you are into horrors, gore, blood and monsters you have to watch it!The story was really interesting. I like that despite it was something between action horror mostly for me, it has also psychological meaning in all this. I appreciate it in movies and series, because I'm looking for hidden meaning behind almost everything. The topic itself (humans VS monsters) is great, again we can see here, that sometimes (or every time?) humans are the biggest monsters of all monsters. Still some scenes were a bit confusing, I would like to know more informations about how it works with the transformation. Anyway it's not just basic story about surviving, but also finding hope in dark times and life, connection between people, sacrifice, love and more, which is good to realize especially now in covid. And not gonna lie there were scenes that got me into tears.
I mean the acting was amazing, each character had unique story and you can definitely see big character development here. Song Kang is one of my favorite actors and it was nice to see him in different role type. He played Hyun Soo just perfect in my opinion, innocent and creepy at the same time. I could relate to his feelings so much through the whole series. Not just him, but all roles were handled very well, even those two little kids.
About music yeah I agree with others, that they can add some more songs than Warriors by Imagine Dragons. This one song was repeated and played most, it became a little annoying, still I think it fits the theme so well. So I didn't mind so much.
I rarely rewatch series, but after some time or with someone, I wouldn't mind at all watch it again.
CONCLUSION: If you like this genre, just go for it. I would highly recommend it, for me it was one of the best series of this year probably. In the end, I just said to myself "wow I need a second season"!
