I was obsessed with this show when it started

When this show started, I was obsessed. The minute new episodes dropped, I was there watching. And for episodes 1-10 I was in love with it. Every drama has filler episodes and I don’t mind 1 or 2 but this show is mainly filler episodes from episode 8-16. And I can’t believe I’m saying this because a month ago I was telling everyone I know about this show.

The acting and chemistry keeps this drama going. Kim Yoo Jung is really good in this and I would like to see her in similar roles as she matures as an actress. She really has chemistry with any actor she’s put with and I thought she was pretty good at the funnier scenes too.

I see a lot of people not enjoying Song Kang in this but I think he’s fine. He excels at the more intense scenes, but he could probably stand to work on his comedy delivery. His performance isn’t helped by the fact that outside of romantic scenes, he’s always paired with a much stronger comedic actor - the actor playing his sidekick assistant being a prime example.

The story had a lot of potential and I almost wish someone would redo the concept in a few years time but give us an actual mystery. Maybe the family could’ve been a lot bigger and with a real whodunnit.

I liked the songs in this; the title sequence music fit perfectly. However, there’s one song (and I’m sorry I don’t remember the name) which they used often and it rarely fit the mood of the scene. I’m only mentioning it in case someone out there feels vindicated that I also hated the use of that one song.

Overall, it wasn’t bad but I think a lot of us are mourning wasted potential.
