A love triangle features prominently, so this show can only be so good in the first place

I need to preface this with a confession: I am extremely allergic to love triangles and pentagrams or whatever you want to call them. I get severe headaches and upset stomach from all the cheating-adjacent shenanigans involved in every single love triangle. Second male leads are what k-dramas add when they don't have enough restraint or creativity and can't trust their ability to make good surrounding drama. This show has at least two full hour-long episodes worth of skippable BS of the side characters being manipulative and awful and the main two for some reason refusing to cut them out of their lives. I particularly hate the chef guy in this show; bro, just go jump in a lake or move to America, I don't want to see a second of you. I wish they released an alt version of this show without all the frustrating love triangle nonsense getting in the way of the main couple's relationship. The main two and the drama with the parents are well done, but the story wastes so much time on awful characters who deserve zero screen time whatsoever.
