Ep 2 1994

The fleshing out of the story is tastefully done. Casting has everyone fitting into their places so nicely. The chemistry is working fabulously. It's funny, touching and genuine. Head and shoulders above 1997!! fighting!!

Episode one building good tension

Ok sure there are all the usual suspects, birth secrets, mistresses, motherin laws and hit and run issues BUT the cast is superb, acting is ditto and chemistry is wonderful to this point. I am always worried that the younger cast will overly attach us and make it hard to move on

(ala golden rainbow, I cannot move on sorry, the younger cast was seriously perfect), but this drama did a smart thing by picking the kids so much younger, so we don't get a certain sort of tension. It has great potential as far as I am concerned! I am hooked and ready for all the episodes to come.

love vs. money

Make good choices? Thats the theme for this episode. It was good to see the Jeju lovers meeting again, even if the meeting was painful. I have such huge hopes that they will both end up happy some how.

irony

In episode thirty five we see a series of ironic couple situaitons. eun hee loves her man, and is willing to give it a second chance. ( i personally would never, but she can if she wants to) Hye Jung might love tae jin, but he is off to jail, tae wook loves Ji Hye enough to let her go ( and fight his father) and ji son wants to go for a year but her entire family wont allow it. (if she were a man not one eyebrow would have been raised.) she feels the unfairness of it. Se-Kyung has been let go by hyun woo finally. The sequence of these events highlight the domino effect and the opposite circumstances from one couple to the next. Hye Jung got a year apart from her cheating spouse the hard way, and did not want it. Ji SOn wants a year off any way she can get it, but is going to be denied. Hye Jung stayed with an abusive husband, ji hye leaves a loving husband. On the last comparison the youngster couple ji sons daughter married for money, and is in a hard spot and her husband loves her madly. the hyun woo couple, she loves him madly and he let her go. its a set of opposites isn't it? ironic opposites.
