The two things that made me love this drama (Well.. Toma Ikuta would make it three..) is that it shows the consequences and stigma for teacher/student relationships, despite that the love between the two was genuine and innocent. I'm so sick of seeing teacher/student pairings being used as a sexual genre because even though that is the case nowadays most of the time, there are those very few relationships out there that are genuine like this. It shows that not all teachers that start things with students or vise versa just want to have sexual relations and that they're humans too, not animals. Love doesn't only equal sex.
This movie was a breath of fresh air. It's nice to see a non-sexual teacher/student movie. It wasn't lovey-dovey, rainbows and unicorns, etc. It was realistic and that's what made it my favourite movie of all time. I literally can't find a fault, but of course everyone has different preferences. I personally would recommend it to others. Heck, maybe even rewatch it again with friends. I feel like this is the type of movie I can watch over and over again. It's so sweet and pure.
I really hope I can find movies like this again. I guess I'll be on a hunt for some, haha!
