Interesting Commentary on Social Media from an Actor's POV
~~~~~ Synopsis ~~~~~
Two Japanese actors, Shison Jun and Kamiki Ryunosuke have a casual talk about SNS (social media). They discuss how people use SNS and how it affects other people. During their discussion, Ryunosuke reveals himself to be a wizard and does a body swap with Jun.
~~~~~ Plot ~~~~~
This mini drama isn't winning any awards, but it does make an interesting point about social media. The drama is a commentary on social media and how people use it. The actors talk about how people use SNS to attack people while hiding behind their computer screens. They also talk about how despite hiding behind a screen, that SNS might be filled with people's true thoughts that they can't say out loud be it for good or bad. They also compare SNS users to actors because on SNS you can be whoever you want to be.
The mini drama also dives into the topic of "triple personalities" in SNS during the second half of the drama, which is represented by the body swap. I think it's supposed to be about how you are "you", but you also have your idealistic "you" and the "you" you portray yourself to be. This part was a little confusing because it is an abstract concept and unless you fully understand what they are saying and the analogies they are using, it makes it difficult to completely understand the context of their conversation. They also used body swap to visualize it which is also a little confusing.
~~~~~ Overall ~~~~~
The mini drama is an interesting one time watch for Kamiki Ryunosuke and Shison Jun fans, but it can be skipped.
They don't do any big time acting in this mini drama and there really isn't a plot. The ending is also vague.
The most this mini drama does is open a conversation on the use of social media, but the commentary isn't something new or special. It also doesn't dive into the real pros and cons of social medias and just touches on the subject.
Overall, there is nothing to really hate or love about this mini drama. It's quite forgettable.
